I was super skeptical about using this company but did it anyway, since the reviews were mixed. I can tell you, This Company was flawless! Everything was as scheduled, Casket was perfect, and I was able to track the shipment online. The delivery Girl was even Great. Saved at least 3K too. Would use them again in a heartbeat. Remember to leave yourself more time if you are worried about your caskets condition so it can be rectified.
I called to ask if it was really free shipping and he asked when I needed it and I told him. He then yelled at me and told me he was $5000 cheaper than the funeral Home. I then asked he repeated it 3 or 4 times before he said it would be $190 And told me again I would save $5000. The most expensive casket the funeral home had is $2825. My question to this IDIOT, how can he stay in business if he is willing to pay me $2175 for a casket. I think I will buy elsewhere.
Omg! I have never dealt with such a jerk! First he calls but continues to talk to someone else. I was just inquiring and he said "oh do you need it years from now?" then when I said it was not where he kept saying it was for, he was flippant and said "don't make me guess" that was when I said "I am not interested in dealing with you" and hung up on him. When I called *******061 to complain about his rude behavior --- the woman hung up. Rude sales and if this is the start why bother dealing with them in a time of crisis.
When you go to a car dealership, the first thing they ask is when do you need a car. If you do not need a casket in 5 years no salesman will wait on you.
We ask do you need a casket in Days, weeks, months or years. Tis person did not want to answer this simple question. They just fell apart. We have a questions section on our web site that is about 10 pages long. The preplanner can read this and know everything there is to know about buying a casket. Then call us when you need one.
I called bestpricecaskets.com today to get information on a casket I was considering. I woman transferred me to their sales department and Terry answered. He was abrupt, short, started to yell when I had more questions. So, I just hung up! Given that they have such great prices and an awesome website, I immediately called back asking to speak with someone else. The next woman Alexa was kind and gentle on the phone, and answered my final question and our conversation ended. However, after contemplating the initial communication with Terry, I had to ask myself, is this the type of person or company I'd want to give my business and money? If there service is like this over the phone, what type of service would I receive upon making the purchase?
I immediately began to look at reviews, and low and behold, this Terry person has been around since at least 2015 from the complaints listed here. If the company hasn't gotten rid of him yet, you gotta think to yourself, is Terry the owner?
Not matter how low the cost, there's no way I could give them my business, and I strongly recommend you do not either.

The worst service one could possibly imagine. They fought having to send a replacement casket for a defective one they sent. Once they finally recapitulated, they purposefully delayed shipment from the airport until after the service (the replacement was never delivered). With no time remaining and with a funeral home that doesn't have caskets on hand, I was forced to use defective product. Personnel were exceptionally rude. There are other online casket options; please use them. Do not give this guy your business.

Very rude salesman on first call, asked if I was going to purchase a casket or not? Called again when need arose and spoke with someone a bit more friendly and understanding. Asked where caskets were made, she said U.S. Ordered a solid cherry casket, loss gloss, specific hardware. At funeral home when unpacked it was not what I ordered. Cherry, very high gloss, different hardware. Tag on end said "Made in China" They never called to tell me the model I ordered was not in stock. Very poor customer service or compassion, it felt like dealing with a used car salesman. Take your business elsewhere unless you enjoy rudeness and not receiving what you ordered.
Oh, and the customer forgot to say they saved $3000 on the funeral home prices. They did not say the quality was bad. Beautiful casket, saved $3000 but no mention. This person would never be happy. At first I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews online. I called them anyway but didn't get an answer at first, so I started to research other vendors online. While researching they called my back. I spoke with Terry, who was very honest and straight forward. He deals with this every day so don't expect a sympathetic approach but he is definitely knowledgeable and honest and will answer all your questions. I was completely honest about my concerns with the company, letting him know I had read all the reviews. He went above and beyond to reassure me that we would get the casket we wanted, on time and without damage. Terry didn't let us down. My father was buried in the lovely casket we had hoped for. They quickly provided us with an invoice, we immediately recieved the confirmation emails of its shipment which included a tracking number that followed each step of the process until it arrived at the funeral home. I would totally recommend them to anyone. They understand the funeral business very well and will make suggestions but you just tell them what you want and they will do as you ask. Thank you for making this step of this difficult process a little easier for us.
I for one am glad I checked this place out ahead of time. If you want to talk to someone he has got to be the rudest person on Earth it's Terry at this place. I called this company and asked the girl who answered 1 simple question, "Where are you located". She cut me off saying I'll have a salesman call you back. I said I don't need a salesman. I just want to do some research first and check you out on reviews and the BBB. She said look us up we are registered with them. So I did and found they had about 26 complaints. Rude complaints on top of products. I also found awful reviews about rude salesmen. 10 min later after I said I didn't need anyone calling me Terry calls me back, how I don't know since my number goes out as private caller. So I decide to ask some questions about how this works buying online for future reference which might be needed in the near future. His answers were rude and snappy. Finally in the end I said I have 1 more question and he says, "You have a lot of questions for someone who isn't buying anything, but go ahead". I asked and then he said, "You asked 20 questions and have NO intention of buying anything". I did have intentions of buying from this company. I just needed to know how all this worked and what the benefits were of buying online. Obviously it bothered him so much to answer a few questions. He said his bad reviews were just people trying to get their money back after the funerals. BS. He just wanted me to shut up and buy. Just like the other's who said he was rude I can attest to that. I will NOT deal with this company at all. I'm sure there are other companies that would be more than happy to answer your questions if you seem interested in purchasing their product. Buyer beware.

My mother is very near death. Having done some research on casket prices, I just now called Best Price Caskets. The salesman had an attitude from the get-go, answering the phone, "caskets." I gave him the number of the casket my mother had chosen, and told him I needed to know the price with shipping. He said, "Take the price and add $95 or about $250 to that." When I told him I wanted an exact price, so I could compare it with the funeral home's price, he said, sounds like you just want the cheapest box you can get, no seal or anything. Why don't you just call the funeral home back and tell them that? I asked to speak with someone else with s better attitude. He said, "Are you capable of adding? If so, add $95 to the casket price." I hung up on him, and immediately called back to complain. The "supervisor" with whom I spoke said he was pretty sure he knew who I was talking about. Then why on earth is the guy still employed?
Add $95 or $250 to the price depending on shipping option. Is this tough? Answering the phone "Caskets". He is complaining about this? Unique individual. We have more than one web site, so if we answer the phone with one company name, then others that called from the other web site will wonder why we answered with the wrong name. We sell to funeral homes under the name of "Funeral Showroom" while we have two other web sites. We answer with the generic name of "Caskets" and he loses it. Unbelievable. We will sell 1600 caskets per month. We will always come across people like this.
After ordering from Best Price Caskets, we waited for days to have our casket delivered and received a phone call from them that the casket had been delayed due to weather. We asked them how long it would be till it was delivered and they said it couldn't make it in time for our services! We then cancelled our order and ordered from Costco Caskets and found a comparable model at http://www.casketsite.com/caskets_costco.htm
The Costco Casket showed up quickly within two days in time for our service! Definitely recommend ordering a casket as early as possible to avoid any non-delivery chances!
THis is an advertisement from our competitor casketsite. He has very few caskets to pick from and he is jealous of our 650 models, lower prices and better faster service so he sent this FAKE review. Notice how he gives you his web site address above. Casketsite is not Costco. Costco only has 9 models and we have 650 models. Who sells all the caskets.

My Mother passed away on Thursday of last week with a very limited budget for funeral expenses. I contacted North Carolina Casket company to have a casket shipped to her funeral home. I spoke with Terry who took the order. I explained that we had a viewing on Saturday and he assured me the casket would be flown out to Atlanta and trucked to Monroe and delivered to the funeral home on Friday. I received a confirmation of the shipping of the product on Thursday afternoon about 4:30 that afternoon.
We drove down on Saturday morning to finalize the arrangements. The funeral director asked when we expected the casket to arrive as we were pushing. My heart sank. I called the company only to find that they had not sent the casket. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and had some very unkind words for Terry. His comment to me was that "the funeral home had lots of caskets." We were then facing a price of 3 times what we had paid and this caused a major hardship financially.
I can only hope that this review helps some other family to be able to avoid the additional horrific stress my family felt as a result of this inexcusable action and lack of responsibility displayed by this company and it's representative.
The only reason I gave a 1 star rating is because they did not have a 0.
I plan to post this on every review site I can find to help make the public aware of this type of situation.
Notice that he mentioned that the funeral home was 3x our price. We ship 1600 caskets per month and they are all saving 3x or on a typical 18ga casket that is $3500. Lets see in 4 years of reviews, one customer said they did not get the casket. That is out of 80,000 caskets one did not get the casket. Not bad. I don't know the specifics of this delivery because we are adding this comment years later. Ok, one out of 80.000, not bad. As the customer stressed, the problem was paying 3x at the funeral home. Buy online and Save 3x and have a one in 80.000 of not getting your casket according to this guy.
Don't look at their profeesinal website. Don't even think of giving them business. Their salesperson "Terry" tried to sell to me a casket which was on sale for $1200. I did not like that one and paid $4800 for the one I liked. At the end he shipped the casket which was on sale($1200). I called them several times and they told me "Terry will call you back" but he never did. He takes advantage of the situation that we are in. We are grieving and he is trying to get the most out of us. It's so sad. So be aware who you are dealing with. I wish zero star was exist.
We sell 20,000 caskets per year. I am seeing this comment years later in 2017. Obviously if we sold approximately 40,000 caskets since this casket, whatever his problem was it is not typical because the next 40,000 customers did not have this problem if it was a problem.
On the day of delivery I was asked by the funeral home to contact them to make sure delivery would be on time. Salesperson was very rude and complained a little about me calling. When I arrived at the funeral home for my mothers viewing, she was in the wrong casket. Days after funeral I contacted them, not to ask for anything only to let them know, Same salesperson was rude again and didn't even offer an apology. He said they would go check make sure they were marked properly for future orders. How sad?

I ended up canceling my order with Best Price Caskets because they kept giving me the run around day after day telling me that the casket will be delivered. I gave them 5 business days in advance and after three days they still weren't sure if the casket had been shipped or it's status. I ended up canceling the order and ordered from another online company CasketSite.com that promised it the next day. I chose one of their least expensive models $690 from this page http://www.casketsite.com/caskets.htm and told them I needed it by 5pm the next day. The casket was delivered as scheduled and in perfect shape! I would use CasketSite.com again, but glad I planned the services far in the future as Best Price Casket Co disappointed...

Terry the owner is perhaps the rudest most unkind person I've ever dealt with. I had a few questions on a casket and delivery--I've never bought one before--and Terry began ranting and belittling my questions. He reminded me of a few unstable people I've met over the years. Normally, I would just blow it off and move on but, BEWARE-- when you're dealing with the loss of a loved one--the last thing needed is a total kook giving you crap on top of it.
I subsequently called a few other companies and got exactly what I wanted for cheaper and no added grief. There are numerous BBB complaints against him as well. Wish I'd seen them before I called this crazy jerk.

Ordered a "Last Supper/La Pieta casket in white on 8/14/2015 with guaranteed delivery by 8/16/2015. Wake was on 8/17/2015@ 3:30 PM. At 1:30 PM the casket had still not arrived and we ended up buying a cakset at the funeral home $2300 more expensive than what we had ordered from bestpricescaksket.com. This company, especially Terry the salesman is nothing but a scam. DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Their truck drivers who are supposed to deliver the caskets are lazy and do not go to the airport to pick up the casket when it arrives way in advance. They never offered condolences and became irate when I disputed the charges on my credit card when it was their fault that the casket, ordered 8/14/2015 never arrived by 8/17/2015@1:30pm. When callled they said they may be able to get it to the funeral home by 8:00pm when the wake finished. This company sucks when your mourning and grieving the loss of your mother and then treat you like $#*! on the telephone because they cannot meet their promises. They need to go DOWN and close. If you cannot deliver a casket for a funeral within 3 days then you need to get out of the business. THESE PEOPLE ARE HEARTLESS AND FOUGHT THE CREDIT CARD CHARGES WHEN THEY DID NOT DELIVER BY THE MORNING OF THE WAKE WHEN I ORDERED 88 HOURS BEFORE THE WAKE. ... Honestly I do not know how this man stays in business with an attitude like he has. Rude, arrogant... In all honesty if this man were giving away Urns or caskets I wouldn't take a thing from him. I would not recommend this company... Did not get a receipt, the casket was not received on time. Called to inquire, but I was hung up on several times, I was threatened with phone harassment, and I was yelled at. Not how anyone wants to be treated at such a time... When I called Best Price Caskets, the gentleman was very rude, obnoxious and could not even get the first question out before he briefly told me what to do. Then wanted to hang up and I said 'wait a minute'. With that, he said he asked 'wait what?" then proceeded to say you are not purchasing a casket from this company. He had a call coming in. I then hung up. I will never ever purchase caskets from this company... I called and identified myself as a previous customer who had just purchased a casket from them less than two month ago for the death of my Brother, and was now purcasing one for my Mother who passed away as well. Did it matter? No. The individual who answered the phone, the owner, Terry Zimmer, accused me of being a "New Yorker" and implied his dislike and discrimination against people from New York. He was racist, rude, insensitive, shouted over my questions. I was simply trying to obtain information regarding a specific casket and inquire about specifications. He yelled at me and said "the specifications don't matter" and was extremely condescending... I called back, the owner, Terry Zimmer, answered the phone a second time and continued to be rude and yelled at me. I asked to speak with a manager and he transferred me to a salesperson. That salesperson told me he could not escalate the call because Terry was in fact the owner of the company. According to the Better Business Bureau, the business is registered as a partnership with Terry Zimmer as owner. The Better Business Bureau for Dallas, TX, also listed several complaints against this company.

I bought caskets for each of my parents and I couldn't have been happier. Both arrived next day as advertised and we save $3000 to $4000 on each.
Also the funeral home only showed us 8 models and BestPriceCaskets.com had over 300 models.
They also told us what to say to the funeral home to get a lower price on the services.
I am surprised about the negative reviews. I wonder if they are from funeral homes or other online casket competitors?

Just ordered and picked up bestprice casket at SLC airport. It was delivered on time and was beautiful... cedar. We had so many compliments on it. My sister needed financial help so we told her we would take care of the casket. Her quote for cedar was 3100. We got ours for 1100 and 200 shipping to Delta cargo SLC airport. I read the reviews and was skeptical but my husband said with the volume they are doing, you can't help but get a few negatives. He called and talked to a guy there who was pretty rude (not the best voice for the co) but for the money we saved and the casket was beautiful, we are happy we used them. This family is super quality oriented so we did not say how little we paid, just that we would buy it. They never knew. Hey, you use it less than 24 hours and you are done! This is our third casket we bought with them and are still very happy.
Answer: Price shop online for the casket you want. Then approach the funeral home that you have chosen and ask them if they will match the price. Funeral homes are already making money on the funeral services and they hate internet competition. In my case they matched the price and I even avoided the shipping costs.
Answer: I purchased a casket from Best Price Caskets and the casket was of excellent quality, arrived on time, and was boxed and packaged correctly to prevent damage. In fact the funeral home asked for my signature to authorize the funeral home to uncrate the casket so it could be inspected. The funeral home uncrated in my presence and all was OK. A form then was sent to Best Price Caskets that all had arrived OK.

What makes these customers mad is they want NEXT DAY and FREE. That is not one of the choices. THey start yelling it says FREE SHIPPING right here, yes that is true but not if you need it tomorrow. We save the average 18gauge metal casket buyer $3500 per casket and give them 650 to choose from instead of 8 to pick from like the funeral home does. We sell 1600 caskets per month, we are going to get a few jerks.
