I like how Best Buy has lots of product in the store. You need something, you go there, they have it. Plus lots of choice in product and price range, and decent service with easy returns the rare times it was necessary to do so.
Really fast shipping and the price was really dirt cheap. Some of the best deals you will find online. Imo worth five stars and even more. I keep coming back so that says a lot.

The Jenn-Air appliances were great, all top quality and meeting my expectation. The sales staff that took care of me were amazing, very nice and helpful. But delivery was a nightmare.
The appliances are great, but DO NOT buy them from Best Buy. I had tremendous problems getting everything delivered. All told, my home renovation was delayed over a month only because Best Buy could not deliver the appliances when they said they would. For a washer/dryer, not a big deal as they are simple to install. But for a built in appliances that have to be installed, it is a big deal. Customer service was a joke, I wish I would have taken my business elsewhere.
I had a total of NINE delivery appointments for these appliances! Yes, nine! For the range top, I had seven separate delivery appointments. Best Buy would call me the night before a delivery appointment and tell me they were cancelling and rescheduling. This is after I had taken off work, and scheduled the installer. I essentially felt like Best Buy was lying to me about the delivery date to keep me from cancelling the order and buying the appliance from another vendor. When I brought this complaint up with management, they started making excuses about the distributor and delivery team rather than trying to fix the problem or find an accurate delivery date.
Management through delivery services and at the store both assured me they were sorry for the massive inconvenience, and would take care of me once the delivery was made. At the end of the whole ordeal, the store manager offered me $250 in store credit (less than 1.7% of my purchase price) to use on a home theater system costing at least $1500. I laughed.
Bottom line, the Jenn-Air appliances are great, just do NOT buy them at Best Buy if you want your home renovation to stay on schedule! Definitely worth buying the Jenn-Air line, I love my appliances. Just get them from a store that is going to treat you like they want you as a customer!

My credit card got stolen this summer and used at BestBuy. They figured it out before shipping and blacklisted my address.
No matter what I try, no matter who I talk to... I can no longer buy at Best Buy. Which makes them the Worst Buy.
Every time I place a new order, it gets cancelled within minutes with a bogus reason of "could not verify your information".
Luckily, Amazon & B&H sell most of the same items at the exact same price.

In the past few months I have placed several orders from Best Buy. Every single one has arrived damaged. Packages were either squashed or flattened or open. The shipping box was always perfect, so it's Best Buy's shipping department that's at fault. They are actually sending people the damaged products. I have been giving my relatives and friends squashed gifts!
The last product I bought was a new DVD and it arrived open and used.
Every time I chat with them I get an employee who has no idea what he's doing and wastes my time back and forth asking me the same questions over and over.
I am boycotting this company for good. They promise amazing service on their webpage but then they never deliver. Outrageous!
I usually compare whatever electronics I'm planning on buying before deciding. Best Buy consistently comes in not only under priced, but always in stock so I can get it the same day.

The store really has a great range of pretty anything on their shelves. The minus for this store is the service itself - you need to insist on attention a bit when you need it. Someone could say its okay that the representatives ignore you and do not annoy with offers but still it could be better.
I went to Best Buy with the intention of walking out with a new computer. All the employees were engaged in discussions among themselves. I hate to beg people to take my money so I walked out thinking the employee at the door would ask " did you find everything today?" Two employees at the door... taking to each other. What has happened to customer service. Last year I signed a contract with the Geek Squad to fix my laptop. After almost a year of trying, with each service making the computer worst, I asked for a refund so I could take it elsewhere to get it fixed. They relented and finally gave me almost all the price back. It is sad that they are the only major computer store nearby.
They aren't bad, just make sure you know what you want to buy before you go there, since their stuff is mostly inept unfortunately. They have a good selection of electronics though and they seem to care about their customers.
I have bought from this Toledo Ohio Best Buy but the last purchase was a Gateway Computer that had many problems and I paid for the Geek Squad Service as I only had the computer less then a month and when I tried to return this computer Best Buy said it was a software problem and not a hardware problem
So they told me I had to buy a extended service program to have them fix my computer and for the length of this service warranty from the Geek Squad I had to bring this computer back to Best Buy in Toledo 5 times and I don't live in Ohio but Michigan so this cost me time and money for gas to keep taking my Gateway Computer so the Geek Squad could fix and refix this computer... so I just bought a computer via the internet from A+Plus Computers for Seniors Hollywood Florida Dale Dione owner and founder of A+Plus and I got a 24" Dell All in one computer with a 4 year warranty and so far my computer is always running as it should
Nintendo Switch bought online for store pickup, the closest that confirmed it had it was a half hour drive. When I arrived there I realize that 20 minutes into my drive, they emailed me to say the store does not have it. Had to come back next day. Otherwise, OK.
I bought washer and dryer and scheduled installation.
Due to the fact that this house undergoes renovation, the electrical outlet was not ready for the dryer. Nevertheless the washer was not connected as well, and I was told that once outlet is ready I should have no problems scheduling the service. In addition I had also prepaid for hauling my old machines away, which they also said will be done in next appointment. Once the outlet was ready I tried calling in - 5 hours! 5 hours it took me to schedule a new appointment. 5! Once I scheduled the appointment I though all will be well. But NO. Instead of coming when expected between 12-4 they came at 10 AM. I had to leave work and take unplanned PTO. When they came they pointed out that the dryer vent is missing a piece but did not say what. Then when I asked them to put the machines on an LG pedestal they refused doing it because the pedestal was not bought in best buy - but the Machines were! And they did not took my machines away - again!
Just left without saying anything. Now again 2 hours on the phone trying to get refund on lost day and unfinished service!
This "service" cost me over 300$! As I had to take PTO and call for another company to remove the machines.
I needed to purchase a washer and would never go back to purchase an appliance there. They were totally understaffed and the manager of the department never lifted his head from the computer to acknowledge anyone. The staff who works there doesn't even greet anyone who comes to their department. Went to store manager and he was totally overwhelmed with cash register problems. Second time this week that I tried to go there and same results. Usually, I have a great experience but not this time. Guess I need to give my business elsewhere.
When it comes to electronics, especially computers and t. V. s, I always want to see the picture quality, see the dimensions and weight of the item, and see the quality of the item. You can't do that when buying online, so this is the place to be able to do all of those things. Plus, you can buy an extended warranty from them if you wish to be covered for longer than factory one. Yes, it takes longer than surfing and clicking, but when you are investing that kind of money for an item it is sooo worth it.
The online price for my laptop was about $50 cheaper than the instore price and I was really happy with the on-time shipping and presentation of the packaging! Would order from bestbuy online again.

Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
