Complaint: I waited my turn in the Counter line, while I was waiting my turn some bankers came and invited some customers who were waiting behind me! I kept waiting for my turn, finally it was my turn and I told the banker Madam that " I would like to change my phone number " she said that "She can't do that at the counter so I need to sit on the sofa and wait for the next available banker for change my phone number. Two of the bankers were free but they didn't call me, after that the Mr Banker invited another customer who came after me. The another Mr Banker was free but he didn't invite me either. While I was sitting waiting on the sofa another gentleman entered the branch and said that he wanted to open an account. Madam Banker asked him " Do you have an appointment " and he said "NO" but Madam Banker showed him how to get an online appointment and find him a banker quickly, but I was still Waiting!
After a long wait Mr Banker invited me to his office. He said that he changed my phone number in the system. I checked my online account but it was still the OLD number. He said that "it takes around 30 DAYS to replace the new number in the system! "
I believe, The interior Security camera recorded everything that I told, I'm ready to go the court to prove my allegation!
I felt a deep discrimination!

I've been a Bank of America customer for 38 years. Seriously. It wasn't even Bank of America at that time. CD rates have always been lame, but the basic services have been reliable. When online banking became available I became a user, a fan, an addict, perhaps, but for the last several days BoA has failed me. I log on, go to bill pay, perhaps, then try to check my checking account balance and am immediately rerouted to the sign in page. It's maddening. Called tech support...waited several minutes...finally told the human what my problem was and she suggested changing my browser from Chrome to Safari. My cheap but serviceable laptop is a Chromebook and everything else i do is through Chrome. She put me on hold and then the connection was lost.
I am not tech savvy. If I walk into my local branch with my laptop can they fix it? Do I have to change banks for a new online banking service? Super frustrating. NOT HAPPY
I have BOA mortgage for my property. Unfortunately I was traveling and couldn't renew my home insurance. I renewed after one month and have one month lapse. They charged me 500$ for one month lapse and my home price is 300k and my mortgage monthly payment is 1200. Almost they charged me half of mortgage amount as insurance laps for one month. Which is not fare. I never new these hidden cost while I was buying mortgage with them. Be aware and be cautious about BOA. They find way to loot us.
Banked with them since they started. Never has there been an issue with any of my deposits or payments to vendors on time. Great website. Online banking couldn't be easier.
My business partner received a statement with corrections of erroneous bank charges but said my name was on the account. I haven't been with the company for more than a year. He asked me to call them, which I did, after getting the reaching the robot giving the robot the required info, then listening to the menu, I finally had to hit "0" to get someone.
They have to realize, business people don't have the time to call and listen to machines, menus and "please hold for the next..."
They think only their time is important and "Customers can just wait"! Glad we are done dealing with them!
This Bank does not care about fraud or customer service. They had my checking account under investigation for over a month. They Credit me back my money from the unauthorized transactions. They never send me a notice or email stating that my case was considered not fraud and closed my case. They took my money that was in my bank and now I'm in the negative for unauthorized transactions that they said was reacurting, that's why they decided to close my case. I DO NOT recommend this bank to ANYONE. This bank is okay with fraud once they feel like there is no fraud. They will close the case. I have unauthorized transactions that I'm paying for. I have people buying thing with my account and getting away with it because Bank of Americans fraud invesigators said it's reacurring then it's not fraud! Reacurring unauthorized transactions that's okay for Bank of American. They will let the fraud get away and us people that work for our money is suffering for fraud. They are suppose to help protect our money instead it's like they are calling me a liar and it's okay for me to pay for unauthorized transactions that's wasn't not made by me. I'm very upset and this Bank has set me in a financial bind now thanks to their horrible fraud system.
I've been with BOA for over 30 years. I missed the grace period for my CD so they changed my interest rate from 3.4 to 0.03 instead of their top interest rate of 4.89. I think is pretty sad that they treat a long time customer in this manner. This was a blatant attempt to rip me off! Being with them for 30+ years should have afforded me enough respect to get their higher rate without contacting them.
Problem solved, I'm moving my money to a different bank, perhaps one that like it's customers.
Employees in the branch on 18th Ave in Brooklyn are very nice mostly Shirley Yu she has a polite attitude
When you call their credit card line, you have to jump through about 91 hoops to get to a live person. Completely box you out and if you hit zero multiple times the call drops you. UAW where are you?
I am working in Canada them my CC get lost I asked for a replace, never get it, call them back and they say I have to go to a branch in USA, I explained that I am working abroad, they said sorry and hang up on me. Last time they make me drive 3 hours from Edmonton to Calgary to a BofA branch, there is no branch there it is a business office, so they couldn't help me
I went through absolute chaos dealing with fraud at my last bank. I decided to try Bank of America in Homer Glen, Illinois and had the lovely opportunity to meet Cheryl Kasper. She was absolutely amazing, very patient and so helpful in every way possible. Opening a new account was very new to me and she walked me through the process with such ease and made it an exceptional experience! So beyond grateful for her!
I had tough time dealing with BOA. I had to close my account and transfer money internationally. I literally had to run from pillar to post calling them up internationally and wasting lots of hard earned money!
I would not recommend bank of America for anyone they will take your money and then make excuses of why they took it I am supposed to have a refund in my account and they will not release it to my account I would not even give them one star but it won't let me even give a half star so I recommend going to another bank
Terrible services. I waited 45 mins to get customer services, which did not solve the issue due to the lack of transparency in its policy.
Twenty-four days after my mom passed away, I went into a Bank of America branch to claim her checking account as a beneficiary. I was told the case would be turned over to Estate Services and someone would call me. Three weeks later and no calls from BofA, but I am getting multiple spam/scam calls everyday from people that know my mom's full name, my full name, the date she passed, etc. These are coming on the two VOIP and google voice #'s I use to get texts for my account. I never use these #'s to talk, only verification codes and reward programs. I never use my full name. My mom's name is not remotely associated with these #'s. I was not getting any spam before I went into BofA. The only common point is Bank of America. Estate Services has frozen her account and I am not being allowed any access, but anyone that throws BofA some money can get access to my mom's personal info. Beyond despicable.
I have been with Bank of America for over 25 years, I had paid off three car loans, and two mortgages without ever being late on a payment. I sell things online and occasionally I receive a bad check just like any business. Lately I received too close together I deposited them because that was the only way I knew to find out whether the check was good or not even though it might cost me $12. I thought that was the worst thing that could happen. I was suspicious of bothchecks so when I deposited them I never took any of the money, it appeared in my account because they were counter checks but I did not touch it. No harm no foul right? Not so with Bank of America. After the second one they froze all of my accounts, turned off my debit card, and locked me out of my online banking app. I was using bill pay and there was money I had deposited other than that to cover bills that I had scheduled. Bank of America credit card was one of them! They froze my money and the bills didn't get paid. I had to set up a new account and go through all the hassle of putting all of my contacts back in the bill pay and I didn't even know who they were because they still won't let me into my online banking. It's more hassle that sounds like. Anyways they had the money Frozen that was for the credit card bill and now they are charging me a $28 late fee because they had my money Frozen. It was some amorphous department that you can't talk to called closures that made the decision. No one ever called me back or spoke to me or explain why they treated me this way after 25 years! So if you think Bank of America is going to show you any loyalty in return for yours you are wrong! As soon as they decide you are no further use to them they will throw you under the bus like it was nothing, and never even explain why! The only reason I gave them one star is because this app makes you, it won't let you post a review until you give them a rating or I would have gone with zero Stars.
The worst Customer Service EVER! They are crooks! Will be closing all my accounts with BofA. I have had a bank account with BofA for over 25 years and, from the looks of their reviews, I am not the only one who is disgusted and fed up with their way of doing "business".
I have been a customer for 17 years and they put a hold on my check after running it through and telling me there would be no hold.
They are active in your account with or without consent. I encourage you to look into another bank institution and spare yourself the headache of dealing with a customer service rep that offers no assistance.
Answer: So many other and better banks please stay away from this shithole. Bank of america yup sounds about right. America..
Answer: Nobody at BOA can help me resolve this issue! Which is sad
