Might as well play lotto
September 6, 2021

If I could give negative stars I would. So I take a check... my paycheck... you know the ones that they used to give on the paper... after my boss makes a mistake 1 single time in 3 years and I deposit it. This terrible review is more so for BofA as a whole and not this location but the teller DID NOT tell me "This check could be held for 13 days without any good reason besides just general security that someone out there (who I guess enjoys stealing debit cards, IDs and going thru the monumental amount of trouble it takes to get a fake watermarked paycheck with your name printed on it and taking a chance that they could cash it out the next day) may TRY to defraud them or me".
She told me it would be available the next day. The next day, I got an email that my money would not be available for use until 13 days later. Called the 800 number, they told me no one could help me. Keep in mind... this is a mortgage payment amount we're talking about here. So now, if I didn't have anyone to lean on or a great group to work for, myself and my family would be without power and 15 days behind on mortgage/rent. That's enough to change your life for the worst. My BofA trust ENDS here. I will play 1000 towards the LOTTO next time... the odds are faster money are much higher.

BOA has issued loans under PPP CARES act and then only offered partial forgiveness. Loans under the SBA were granted when they matched your payroll and filed taxes. BOA has failed to issue full forgiveness to thousands of their own customers, & is timing out the option to have them be forgiven. They are offering about 60% forgiveness according to the SBA. The SBA offered a direct forgiveness portal, which BOA will not opt into so their own customers can get the loans forgiven in full. This is not legal, and they are targeting the loan recepients trying to force them to repay the loans taken out in good faith. Forbes did an article on this and despite SBA saying billions of dollars are left to be forgiven, BOA is billing themselves for hours and stalling loan forgiveness. Many loans come due in October 2021, and the loans need to be approved for forgiveness before then. Megan Scholz VP in NC, has removed my loan from forgiveness for being mad at my right to seek full forgiveness. This is not legal. They have traumatized 50 states of people that are holding on to their businesses by a thread. BOA cannot do this and despite hours of efforts, their greed and overbilling, plus 1% interest they are trying to earn on unforgiven balances is taking priority over the right of the borrowers. 99% of loan borrowers used the loans to stay afloat. They are targeting these people to scam them out of being able to survive and owing back money that was told to be forgiven. My loan was on its way to forgiveness, and Megan Scholz withdrew the application (not legal) and then wrote me that my forgiveness amount was "0". This has to be stopped and fixed, there are thousands of business owners suffering the same fate. Forbes article here I ache for myself and other innocent businesses, trying to provide retail services to the public, and being targeted during a crisis, by the bank. https://www.forbes.com/sites/kotlikoff/2020/07/13/another-horrific-bank-of-america-horror-story-that-hundreds-if-not-thousands-are-apparently-experiencing/?sh=57fbe5704ee2

One star too many!
August 17, 2021

One star too many! Have had two business accounts with B of A for years. I made an honest mistake applying payment to wrong account and other became past due. Adam the "representative" could see I made a mistake, but had NO authority to make the adjustments, forcing me to pay the late fee and finance charge. We're done - closing 2 business accounts and 1 personal account. More callous than any bank I've dealt with in my +30 year business career; and I have done business or had accounts with at least 15 to 25 over that time.

BANK OF AMERICA ESTATE DEPARTMENT IS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE! THERE IS ALWAYS AT LEAST A HOUR WAIT TIME TO SPEAK TO A REPRESENTATIVE, AND THEY SEND YOU THROUGH SO MAY CHANGES TO SEND YOU YOUR DECEASED LOVED ONE'S ASSETS. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OVER A MONTH FOR THEM TO RESOLVE MY ISSUE. I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING THAT I WAS TOLD TO DO, DOCUMENTS FILLED OUT AND NOTARIZED, EVERYTHING! THEIR PROCESS IS VERY SLOW. IT'S ALWAYS A EMOTIONAL TIME FOR ME WHEN I HAVE TO CONTACT THEM AGAIN IN REGARD TO MY DECEASED FATHERS ASSETS THAT HE HAS WITH BANK OF AMERICA, AND THEY CERTAINLY DON'T MAKES MATTERS NO BETTER BY GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND. THERE IS SO SMOOTH TRANSISITION WITH BANK OF AMERICA IN THEIR ESTATE DEPARTMENT. I AM CONSIDERING CLOSING DOWN MY ACCOUNT, AND TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. I AM VERY FRUSTRATED AND DISGUSTED WITH THEIR ESTATE SERVICES!

I have to say BOA is the one most self centered banks out there - Does not care about their customers, you wait on hold for a long time, sometimes disconnects you, and you get representatives who have a chip on their shoulder and rude! I would have to say in my opinion I would not use this bank. I currently have an account with them but am closing it soon as you should too. They hound you with fees, and they don't as a courtesy reverse anything without more in less scolding you and giving you a lecture. They had law suits filed by many customers in the past for all the fees this bank has taken from people. They are the WORST bank and don't care about customers---

I don't take it lightly when I asked as a courtesy if you could reverse my first ever fee on this account but they would not budge or help out in any way because I overdraw my account to get some medicine and things I needed. But they would not reverse a fee for me -- they are money hungry and very bad with customer service and helping out their customers. I do hope they lose more clients and that others will wake up to there is more great banks with great reputations that actually care about their customers.

Bank of America is part of the deep state and everyone knows it. I am sure they have ties to the Chinese Communist Party. Their unethical behavior is merely a symptom of the root cause. These entities are cancerous to humanity and must be pulled out for the root. The world is waking up to the corruption. Where we go one we go all.

The worst place to Bank. So, I have had my personal account and a nonprofit account with Bank of America for 15 years. For the past 2 years, I added 4 more businesses and of course want to deal with only one bank, that is Bank of America. Unfortunately, this is the worst Bank you can have an account with. They have been declining my transactions and froze one of my business accounts and I can not pay bills, my payroll, and when I called them asked them they have no answers. They said their back end made that decision. How could a Bank make that decision without even notifying me? That should be illegal. It has been one week. I decide to close my account and open up an account with another Bank. So, went to the banks close to me that are all closed, shut down. No, money in ATM. Now, my money in the bank and I can not even withdraw money to pay my bills and staff. Wow... shame on you guys for not giving a dam about your customers and making a decision and holding people's money because you can do this.

I am on my 21st call into Bank of America to resolve what should be a simple matter to resolve -- 4 fraud charges that keep cycling back on my account. Managers have said they would call back; they have not. I would suggest that no one use Bank of America as they have such serious operational issues, it's frightening. Too bad Alaska Airlines has them as the bank for their credit card. Below are the charges they keep charging and then crediting and then charging again.

I banked with Bank of America for over 10 years. Not only are their fees among the highest in the industry their interest rates for savings snd checking accounts are among the lowest in the industry. They stack their overdraft fees one on top of the other on top of another. Granted, people should keep enough money in their accounts so that they are not overdrawn, but it does happen. While other banks are offering waivers for an occasional overdraft, Bank of America is still getting rich over these overdraft fees. And all this in spite of a class action lawsuit. Most of the time, in my experience, it takes over 30 minutes on hold to reach customer service and once you reach them, you can depend upon another one or two lengthy transfers to the correct department. After not having banked with them in over 5 years I recently received a statement saying that i had opened a new account with them. I did not and would not after my prior experiences with them. After phone calls that took over 1 1/2 hours of my time I finally got this resolved. Or, so they tell me that I did. There are much better banks with much more favorable interest rates and much better customer service. I suggest USAA, Ally, or even Varo Bank in lieu of this very much left leaning banking institution.

Worst Bank EVER
May 21, 2021

You cannot get in touch with a human at any of the branches located in Miami, Florida. The telephone numbers they publish are non-working numbers.

When you call the 1-800-numbers, you are better off calling a pizza place to have them help you with your bank needs. This 800 number they provide you with, will transfer you from one location, to another location, to another location, then Tampa, then Jacksonville, then back to Tampa and finally will disconnect the call. By the time you figure out the first department you were connected to, you will be so dizzy that you won't know if you were talking to a man, a child or a woman. A child would probably have better manners, ALAS, you were talking to someone who hates their job.

Whether is a new ATM card, the need for a new bank account, or the need to withdraw money, you will not find anyone willing or knowledgeable enough to assist you. DO NOT, fair warning, try to even apply or ask for a home loan. They will pluck you to death for 3 to 6 months and then disappear after you have submitted blood samples and your first born. And if you're looking for a business loan, let's say, $10,000 business loan, you need to deposit a CD of $10,000 with them and then they will give you a loan... WHATT? AWFUL customer service.

I was working with Asterio on my first home purchase, I am reaching out to you because besides being very upset I am also very stressed out, this process is not going as smooth as when it started and although I understand buying a home can be a long process and it being my first time, there is a lot I am not familiar with but I do understand how important communication is and right now communication is what is lacking in your home loan department. I have a family I have to take care of, I also have a move out date on my apartment agreement, not to mentioned I might lose my 5k deposit I put down on my future house and possibly even lose the house, and on top of that I had locked in a rate that has now changed, I don't understand what is going on, so as you can see these are the reasons why I am so upset, frustrated, worried, stressed,. The underwriter assigned to my loan is taking too long to communicate what is needed and therefor my agent has requested an extension for the third time and I am terrified that it will not be approved, and I will lose my deposit and house.
My family and I have anxiously been waiting for this day, today I am scheduled to close and receive the keys to our new home. Unfortunately this is not the first time that I was scheduled for closing! My family and I are packed, ready to move out. My apartment leasing office had granted 3 more days to stay until May 10th. And just now bank of America is telling me I will not close until maybe tomorrow! I understand that Star Radoc is now out of the office for medical reasons and he will no longer be able to assist with the remainder of the closing process. Which no one had mentioned this to me! Karen Hopkins, Todd Malone, John Howarth, Garren Campbell they had said they will help me to have a smooth transition for closing, they just have been giving me the round and round! As you can imagine this day is very crucial and important. Hope you can understand how important and meaningful this situation is to us. Unfortunately I have not had the best experience with the home buying process with Bank of America. I will never recommend any one to bank of America.

To sum it up, no customer service. You never speak to the same person or a person in the same state. Even though they acknowledge, you as the customer have provided the info necessary for them to complete their task, they take forever to do so. In the meantime you are paying them money you don't owe. Their website has disabled the link to give feedback. Their excuse for taking so long is the pandemic.

The arrogance and incompetence is off the charts here. After my issue is resolved, I will not be using this credit card or bank anymore.

Their online system for filing a credit card dispute is ridiculous. You can't simply type out your complaint and send your supporting documents. Instead, you have to use very limited checkboxes and explain the problem in only 150 characters (that is characters, not words). There is no way to include any supporting documentation.

So I called but after a long wait, the representative had only the same system to work with herself. I called two more times over the next few days because no details showed up and I had no idea what was going on.

Lots more waiting and being passed around. I had to repeat the same thing over and over and got the same result, which was- not much. Now must wait up to a MONTH for the credit card company to respond to BOA before I can give any more details about my case, assuming I am even given that chance at last. I also can not contact the credit card company (Visa) directly instead, I'm told. Was told I'd have to mail or fax supporting documentation, if they ever deigned to request it. Because, you know, it is 1972, after all... It's all just too nonsensical and exhausting, especially when it's on top of dealing with another ridiculous company already.

This is especially nasty since the original issue is that Costco.com delivered a shattered TV and repeatedly refuses to pick it up (going on 3 weeks now). They say they will come out repeatedly but never do and refuse to give me a time or date. They are holding my money in the meantime and say I will only get three chances for pickup. So for three entire weeks, we've had to had one of us get up and dressed early in case they deign to knock on the door, can't both go out alone if we need to leave the house, etc. We are sort of being held hostage and now we can expect 30 more days of this because our bank is just as arrogant and incompetent as Costco.

Bottom line, they really do all they can to encourage you to just go away. So I guess I will!

Bank of America Customer Service is awful. I can honestly say this bank is definitely the worst. I'm am constantly having issues with them and they just don't care. My credit card was hacked and I got one unknown transaction with $300. After calling, spending many many days on the phone to communicate with multiple customer service agents, that amount is still on my transaction and it affected my credit score extremely fast. My credit score decreased 107 points because of that amount. So hopefulnessing and frustrating with them. I haven't thought I can hate any bank like Bank of America.
I am happily closing my account and never looking back if they were able to solve that issue.

Terrible customer service
February 27, 2021

I made a mistake and ordered multiple sets of check copies, because nothing online indicates what I have ordered. I needed 14 checks. The cost is $3 per copy and $75 max. Again, there is no confirmation page of your order prior to verifying the order. I then get 3 separate $30 charges. When I called to tell them they took off one charge. And "respectfully decline" to help me with the others. I have been a loyal customer for years... years and I made a mistake and pointed out that the ordering system is flaw. But he said there was nothing they could do. When I said this makes me want to take my business elsewhere, instead of making me feel better Nick, the manager just said "that's your choice". Clearly very concerned. It's a matter of $20 more dollars so whatever... but I am definitely going to consider taking my banking elsewhere. If you can't even help a loyal customer, what are you there to do? Hope that more people make mistakes on ordering check copies because there is no verification process (like all other sites do when requesting or purchasing things) and throw your strict refund policy to "respectfully decline" helping your customers? Doesn't seem right.

Worst forex service
February 20, 2021

I requested forex from Bank of America for an international travel. They sent me torn notes, after I paid for home delivery owing to the impending travel date. When I called their customer care, they showed me attitude and told me that they never send damaged notes. As a favor apparently, to exchange the damaged notes, they told me to visit xyz branch. So, I paid for shipping, you deliver me damaged goods and have the gall of telling me to roam around the city to get service? Worst forex service ever.
