Bandmix wouldn't be making enough greed $$$$$ if they made the site function as it should, because they wouldn't be making money on continual memberships if everyone found band members within 30 days. So they intentionally create lost messages and typical (search for people) website scemes.
This site is a great service if you're a musician and need other musician's. It is easy to get the word out when you use Bandmix.com!
After a contentious break up with our long time lead singer, we were ready to take a break from music for a while as the thought of searching for a new singer was daunting. One night while browsing the internet, I came across Bandmix and started looking at some local profiles. It was really energizing to see that it wouldn't be as difficult as I thought to find a singer. I created a profile, upgraded and contacted a few guys in the area and one of them was a perfect fit. Killer pipes and best of all no ego, easy to work with. I'll definitely be recommending BandMix to my music friends.
BandMix is not a fair play platform. Apparently Bandmix admin blocks your messages on the messaging feature when you are trying to contact musicians using Premium paid membership. Sent out more than a hundred messages and not one responded, or even viewed my profile until I complained they allowed one view in. So it works if Bandmix don't block messaging from someone they don't like for some reason. One month and cancelled renewal. SAVE YOUR MONEY and a whole lot of frustration.
When looking for a particular talent or to join a band; or just to find people with whom to jam ~ the site is unparalleled. If you're new to Bandmix or are a musician or vocalist who have not provided a sample of audio clips; DO SO. Seriously ~ you're a singer looking to join a pop band and provide no audio snippets?

Band Mix.com is the BEST site to accomplish your musical needs such as finding members, Looking for a band, etc. I've checked out other sites but they DON'T compare to BandMix, I wouldn't go to any other site.
Our band was entirely formed using Bandmix. I found it incredibly easy to use and best of all it works! Just be sure to add pictures and audio clips if you want to get the most responses.
Tons of musicians where 99.99% for some reason never reply. Stay away. Not worth it. Not sure where to go but this is not the place.
Bandmix worke well for me and i have found an amazing female singer for my project. Would use again if i need it. The website is to be applauded to for its ease of use.
I was blown away by how many local musos were in my area. Great resource for serious musicians or even those starting out. Had success connecting with a new band that was a great fit for me. Bandmix is worth checking out.
It's like having a classic car and going to a car show... car guys with their expensive perfect cars sit by their own cars to see how many peole come to see ttheir car (probably with a counter clicker). Us guys with the rat rods like to wander and enjoy the scenery.
Use Houston Press or your local free press. I've found musicians in the local press classifieds that are far more qualified than the dummies that are willing to spend $100+ per year on bandmix. Bandmix is a Matchdotcom wanna be.
If you ensure your profile is relevant, with good audio or video content, it's very likely you'll be approached by someone looking for what you have to offer. There are a lot of people on the system, but the geographic and keyword searching makes it easy to narrow down the results.
I would emphasise, it really is worth putting the time in to upload at least some audio. So many people don't do that - the service only works for you if you put some effort in.
This is a good website for all types of musicians. A good mix of pros and amateurs on here and easy to filter between them. Got me into the band I'm in now. Worth trying it out.
Our band had been struggling to replace our guitar player. We tried music shops, craigslist, friends, but no luck. A quick search on bandmix led us to a perfect match who was nearby, ready to play, and could shred. Thanks Bandmix! We'll definitely be back if we ever have a need again.
It is literally impossible to post video. Tried everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. Kept pasting my YOUTUBE URL into the box that said YOUTUBE URL and it just kept saying to paste my YOUTUBE URL into it. Then I couldn't even past YouTube links into the boxes for them so I tried putting them in manually and (shocker!) THAT DIDN'T WORK EITHER. So anyone searching will see that you have NO VIDEO. Hmm. Good luck connecting with other musicians when they see that THEY CANT SEE OR HEAR WHAT YOU SOUND LIKE! Complete and absolute waste of money. There's no help, it just keeps saying you're doing it wrong. I use my YouTube channel ALL THE TIME AND I NEVER HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. Do not use, and definitely do not pay for it. Useless.
Easy to connect with active and serious musicians. Highly recommended if you fit in that category. But, also very effective if all you want is to find some people to occasionally jam with!
This is a great service for musicians. We were able to find a new guitarist for our band in a couple weeks. Easy to use and fast. We recommend Bandmix.
