To save yourself for some subjective stories, here are things that I'll point and why I think Badoo deserves a little bit more recognition than other dating apps I've tried (as a free user):

Pros:
- you can actually chat and video call people
- you can watch people stream for free, no premium needed
- you get free trial of premium upon registering that actually works
- you can search people nearby for free
- so far I can say their premium pricings are cheap, not bull$#*! compared to other dating sites

Cons:
- tons of verifications needed
- you can only message those who are at the same verification level as you or lower
- a lot of fake profiles
- limits you to 5 people to chat per day
- unable to chat with people nearby immediately unless you pay credits
- less verified profile gets banned easily with some reports

So far it's good, and the limitations are rather tolerant for a dating app unlike others I've reviewed. The place is decent for finding friends, but stuffs just seem worse because the men and women's purposes are never aligned to each other.

Let's start by addressing some of the cons:

We introduce new verification methods in order to combat the number of users creating false accounts. It works too! Since the introduction of photo verification and verified indication on profiles, the number of fake profiles registered on Badoo has dropped dramatically, therefore improving the Badoo experience for our genuine users. Of course, no method is 100% effective but there are things you can check to ensure another user is who they say they are, checking their profile for the blue verification tick and requesting a selfie in chat, to name a few!

We introduced the option for users to select if they only want to be contacted by verified users, if a user has this option turned on, you won't be able to contact them until your profile is verified too. Neat, right?!

To get verified status, you need to verify your profile with a photo and at least one other method. There's no need to verify using every method, but it sure will help you stand out as a genuine user.

In regards o your chat limit, you can increase it. Getting verified will increate your daily new chat allowance - This helps to protect our users again spam or bulk-contacting users. If you want to chat with someone you haven't yet matched with, you can indeed use credits to unlock the chat. However, it's not a necessary feature! If you match with the user first, you won't need credits to initiate the chat, so the best way to make new connections and have more meaningful conversations it to vote on their profile in encounters. If you have Badoo premium membership, you'll be able to see who already liked your profile too, so no guessing!

In regards to users being banned on Badoo, this is based on reports made by other users. Each complaint is thoroughly investigated and access to Badoo will be revoked if we find violations against our guidelines. We also provide warnings before blocking users on Badoo so you'll have an opportunity to correct the bevaviour and review our guidelines again before continuing to use Badoo.

Never ever use the Badoo. Do not even download this app on your phone ever. Badoo did unauthorizedly charged the credit card $131 dollars after I just downloaded their app on my smartphone! After I report the problem to support team about 4 times they just didn't even reply to my queries. It's online rubbers, criminals and cheaters! New Zealand bank cannot do anything against od this rubbery company. They rubbed several millions of ppl across the globe. I run an online business and I know a lot about. I personally will never use the Badoo

IT'S A SCAM!

STAY AWAY! THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY! THEY DO NOT FULFILL THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS!
They charged me for the premium account by a trick! When I understood that I had paid unintentionally, I asked them for a refund but they won't accept it. In terms and conditions, it states that, unless you download features, you are eligible for a refund. However, the scum that is on their "support" team won't admit it and he doesn't even answer my emails! Of course my bank is notified and I am going to take legal action. STAY AWAY!

Wont pay for mistake

I clicked on the purchase premium for life button by mistake and was charged 119.99 and as it was near the back button it was easy tp do... i contacted them straight away and only to be told as my app was open this counts as having used services... what a joke as i hit the button by mistake in the app... its a trap... i am considering a small claims court action unless this can be resolved.

Dont waste you money

I am a member of badoo, with premium membership, what a waste of money. Cannot contact visitors to my profile as it says i have chatted too much, thats why i got premium... and locals, my age group they ask for credits. Join if you want, just never pay them money,

I am an experienced user of online dating sites and have grown wise to the ways they try to extort extra money out of you, however my experience with Badoo has definitely topped the lot. With my card details saved from a previous purchase, I *apparently* clicked on the default option of Lifetime Membership instead of Back. One wrong click and I'm billed £120 instantly! Their own terms and conditions outline a full refund is offered, yet Customer Service are trying to squirm out of refunding me with a nonsensical argument. I will take them to a claims court if I have to. Avoid! The free service is worthless to your average guy anyway.

According to your screenshots, it seems you have an active subscription to Badoo Premium which would renew daily until cancelled. Our subscription periods range from 1 day to 190 days. Instructions on cancelling your Badoo Premium subscription can be found in the terms which you agreed to when making your initial purchase.

In regards to multiple payments in one day, this is because banks can take some time to process your transactions, particularly over non-working days, so you may see multiple recent payments processed and grouped together in your billing history. Please be assured that it's not possible to hold multiple active subscriptions on the same active Badoo account.

If you are an American you will more than likely get scammed from this site. I've read hundreds of reviews on Apple, Google Play and online about this shady site. And my opinion is to not trust them with ANY of your personal photos, or credit cards.

A simple Google search showed me that Badoo is owned by Russian billionaire/ entrepreneur Andrey Andreev and has ZERO consequences to American law. Stick with American dating apps, people. DO NOT SHARE YOUR CREDIT CARD WITH ANYONE ON THIS SITE!

Contact the Apple and Google Play stores and complain to them about Badoo's deceptive credit card practices and scammy way of Badoo kicking people off its site/app.

My profile was blocked today for NO reason at all. Badoo sent me a vague email saying I had broken its community guidelines - which wasn't true at all. Most of the reviews online centered around Badoo charging customer's credit cards and kicking people off its site. No reason was given to any of them as to why they were suddenly blocked from access to its site.

Do not trust them with any of your cards, or PHOTOS! That's the only way Badoo makes money -- These Russian snake-oil salesmen know they can skirt American laws by scamming and running its customer's credit cards. I will be contacting Google Play later on today to tell them this app is a 100% scam! I hope others join me in expressing their frustrations and opinions to Google and Apple!

A fraud

This website is a fraud. It floods users with ads, pop-ups and offers to purchase paid features. Many accounts are fake and it is hardly possible to find there people for quality communication.

Badoo has always been free to download and use and we want to keep it this way, this means that we have recently introduced advertising. Ads will not be shown to users who have purchased our paid features. If you want to remove the ads, you can either subscribe to Badoo Premium, that will give you access to features that other users don’t have access to or Credits that will increase your visibility and popularity.

We're also doing a lot to tackle Fake profiles online which is why we introduced photo verification. Users that have proved their real by verifying with a photo will have a white tick with a blue background on their profile. However, if you happen to encounter an account you think might not be genuine, you'll always have the option to report it ot our team using 'Block or Report' button on their profile.

If you're an average man with average looks, and you're 40-plus, you have about as much chance getting a date on Badoo, than you do winning the Lottery every week for a year. It's not going to happen. I am that guy. Average looks and 43 years old. I had a profile on there for three months. I sent messages to average looking women. Some looked at my profile, none messaged back. My photo was also rated 1 out of 5. I don't know what purpose that serves other than to try and cripple the confidence of whose photo it is. I'm thick-skinned so it didn't bother me. But I had this vision of women low rating guys just to make the guys feel hurt. That aside, Badoo just like POF, has a database of anti-social women who don't wanna chat and most certainly don't want to date. They're so shallow, if you're not a hot guy they won't even reply. And this coming from average to below average women. Fat and middle aged. Unbelieavble. A waste of time.

I have been on Badoo on and off for a while now, I remember when you could comment on other members photos as well. Shame they stopped that.

They use to have a cool credit top up feature where you can message someone for free or 10 credits or top up 10 credits but now the minimum required to message a user/badoo member will cost you 150 credits! Tell me Badoo team? Why does it cost 150 credits/ £1.50 to send one message? Please let me know why? It use to cost 10 credits last year. I disagree the way you have hiked your prices up at the expense of many of your loyal members.

So if you only have 5 credits left on your account then to chat to one person would cost you £3 GBP (for 200 credits). Also if that badoo member doesnt reply or deletes their profile then you would have wasted £3 and 150 credits! - When before it would cost you 10 credits only!

Also an increase number of fakes on there as well sadly. I hope badoo looks into this a little more for the benefit of their users/members!?

I was a member for well over a year with no real problems whatsoever... Accumulated a few blocks... Female members easily go that way if not even just out of spite... Lifetime membership... Yeah right... Any random idiot can block you there and there is no way to prove your case... Because you are blocked you have no access to any of your conversations anymore... They are very willing to take your money but have no customer service or dispute resolving of any kind... Blocked is blocked... Kiss your $ goodbye...

I just found out why my bank account is continuously overdrafting: for three months now, Badoo has been drawing $1.99 every day for a daily premium subscription. The way they word their options is deliberately deceptive and will have you thinking you're paying once and using their premium services until they expire, but this is not the case; they will charge you regularly for whatever amount you consented to be charged once. I've since removed my credit card info and cancelled my subscription (of course they keep those options hidden in the settings options), but if that's not enough I'll take it up with my bank.

Leave it to the $#*!ing Ruskies to come up with something so shadowy and vile. It's like they took OKC and bastardized it into a digital leech with a dating app's exterior. Don't give them any of your information and tread lightly if you're going to use Badoo- or simply skip to a better site or app that'll give you greater results without costing you a penny.

Starting a subscription for Badoo Premium means you enter into a billing agreement, which authorises recurring charges to be made using the payment method you've selected. Removing your stored payment details prevents you from making one-click purchases, but it does not cancel billing agreements like a subscription. Billing agreements need to be cancelled separately, and cancellation instructions are presented to you at the time of purchase.

Badoo should be shut down... i dont have an account with badoo someone made a fake profile done payment for things i try to contact badoo customer service threw email thet decide to ignore for a few weeks now all i want to do is sort out what my refunds i show them proof also and still nothing even ask for details of who i can contact to sort out getting my money back... people do not waste your time on badoo fake $#*! people take money

They want to obtain payment details, and then trick you into making outrageous payments. They do this by providing "one-click payments" defaulting to large sums of money. This app is maliciously designed to make you pay by accident. They will not return any accidental payments.
