I first used this software about 6 years ago when I had requested for them to be one of my yearly sponsors. By sponsor I mean they give me free use of their programs in exchange for promoting them on my home page. So I had them for a full year free & because I found their software so useful I decided to buy the full package.

The reason my rating is so low is because they have zapped my registration key null & void because I tried to install the software on my laptop. But my gaming computer it was originally on did not have it installed when someone stole it. Therefore I am not breaking any rules, tos, tou, etc.

If you can be 100% sure that your hard drive on the system you plan on installing this software will never fail or die, then by all means buy it. If not keep in mind that if you try to install on a new hard drive or reformat the one you installed on for what ever reasons you will be forced to buy everything all over again. They refuse to be reasonable, but if they check their servers that keep track of the serials they would know for a fact I have never tried to abuse their software. They just simply do not care about the customers & are trying to milk as much money from you as they can.

Sorry AVS4You I once had great respect for you guys back when you actually cared about your customers & supporters. Now I will never promote you again by mouth or otherwise. I am ashamed of you.

The back up team fixed my problem of a failure to update my AVS Software to the latest versions. It was sorted promptly and I am now back using this really useful software. Why do people complain about the license per one computer? You buy an unlimited license for ONE computer! I think that's fair, too many people think they are owed a free lunch every day of the week! You think Microsoft will give you Windows 10 for free because you bought Windows XP 10 years ago? Please be realistic...

After buying an "unlimited" license, they broke the CD Creator app with an update. I've spent a month dealing with a slow, ineffectual support team that never fixed the problem. The software uses an insane amount of memory on a Windows 10 machine, and they have no idea how to fix it. Never, ever deal with this company!

I upgraded my computer after two years to enable VR. When I installed my complete "Unlimited" AVS4YOU product, it would not activate. I contacted them, and this is the reply. Beware!

"Unlimited AVS4YOU Subscription! This subscription obviously has total limitations. You make it sound as if I own the software, but I do not. This is a limited one computer, one install license which you are misrepresenting to those who purchase it. I will not purchase any avangate or avs product again, ever, and I will from now on tell everyone I encounter that you and your company are deceptive, lying manipulators without a moral bone in your bodies. License should be sold to individuals, not loaned to them in Microsoft type money machine."

The first time I had to contact AVS Support was 3 years ago. All the information in my computer was lost. I had to recover my license key and the support team was amazingly efficient. Three days ago, my AVS Sound Editor was not working. I wrote AVS4YOU Support staff and they sent me an email with instructions and suggestion. You guys are awesome, I was able to follow the instructions and solve the problem. Thank you.

I have used the program AVS Video Recorder to save all of my family's home videos from Mini DV and numerous formats of VHS. They all worked flawlessly and I was especially happy with its. DV compatibility for superior picture quality. This program helped my convert 1.1 TERABYTES of my important family memories. I would like to thank AVS4YOU for developing the absolute best program for this task, I couldn't be happier with its results! There is absolutely NO better VHS or DV program out there for converting your old memories and EVERYONE SHOULD USE THIS PROGRAM FOR DOING SO! You guys are the best!

Do not buy this product, you will purchase lifetime licenses over and over
It happen to me I have lifetime licenses and they are forcing me to purchase it again I have contact theme over and over no responds

I use the AVS programs for years and find them very good to work with.
The price is really low for the complete package of all kind of programs I normally use.
Two weeks ago however I upgraded my PC with a new motherboard, processor and memorybanks. I first had to buy a new license to use the programs again (like Brian) but when a mentioned that I was not intend to do that, because i allready bought a license and i still use it on only one computer, AVS has activated my original license again. That is what I call a good service and I hope that AVS chances their polici in the future to help people with the same issue as I had (and Brian) to help them. In my case I am a happy user of the AVS programs again. ( sorry for my bad English writing) Ruud B.
