Complaints about unauthorized charges and poor communication from representatives are common, suggesting systemic problems in service delivery. Fake promotional credits
December 9, 2022

The AT&T store at Freehold Raceway Mall ( 4345 US-9, Freehold, NJ *******) sold 4 lines to my family by promising $350 credit per each line in September 2022. The salesperson is Zach or Zack and the manager was Asgar. I have been calling to AT&T customer service and the Store for the last 3 months to get that promotional credit. Now they are all denying it and I'm in a contract for 36 months. I was with T-mobile for 18 years and never had any issues. I made a biggest mistake by switching to AT&T. I thought AT&T is a reputed and responsible company. I will impatiently wait for another 32 months until I switch back to T-mobile.

I called AT&T customer loyalty department and all I got was apologies for AT&T employees misconduct.

I phoned on Tuesday to disconnect DirectTV and ATT Internet service after many years of being a customer. I was told I had to speak to Customer Loyalty. #2 call: I was then convinced to "suspend" for my vaca/business venture. I agreed. He said he suspended DirectTV (after 45 minutes on phone) but I had to call back in 48 hrs to suspend Internet. #3 48 hrs later (today): 2 hours and 25 minutes! Not a single thing was accomplished. I finally lost it. Not a single thing was done from a woman in customer loyalty dept except for 30+ apologies. She was useless. For all that call, she was waiting for help from a manager. I was losing it. I finally had to hang up. THE WORST. THE VERY WORST!

Costumer Service
December 8, 2022

They sent me the wrong phone, when called to talk to the insurance about it the costumer service worker did not help and got defensive over the phone. The costumer service worker kept assuming things over the phone and calling me ma'am, which is transphobia, he never asked for my gender. They will not fix the mistake. Avoid AT&T costumer service and the insurance through AT&T, horrible service.

Face of customer service
December 8, 2022

Gladys not only worked effectively to solve my problem but she also treated me like a person and not just an account. We had a lovely conversation about the holidays and even shared laughs and she managed to do that while still working on my situation and did all that with a cheery attitude for me calling at 12 am with a complex situation. She really should be the face of cellular customer service because she knows how to make me remember why I chose at&t

Customer support for billing is INEXISTENT
December 6, 2022

Last November, 2022 I sent AT&T a check and it was cleared. However, AT&T did not apply it to my account. The only way to solve the problem, apparently, is to fill out an online form, which I did three times already, requesting them to "investigate" the problem, which they don't seem to do. My account was outstanding for several days and I felt FORCED TO PAY AGAIN so my services aren't cut. There is no phone number that will get them to look into the problem, and the e-mail customer advocate gave me, doesn't seem to work.

Fraudulent practice
December 6, 2022

Please be aware of AT&T's fraudulent practices. I paid my bill of $222.48 on December 2,2022. Another payment of $222.48 was taken out of my account on December 5,2022. DO NOT SCHEDULE A PAYMENT FOR A SPECIFIC DATE TO BE PAID BECAUSE WHEN YOU PAY IT BEFORE THE DUE DATE THEY WILL TAKE IT AGAIN AND YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL BOTH TRANSACTIONS ARE PROCESSED TO DISPUTE IT. Be very careful because AT&T does not care about double payments as it is a benefit for them.

I've tried this company for phones. Left them when they would let me change my account payment type but not update my voicemail. What? Left their internet service because once again HORRIBLE customer service. Recently THEY locked my email account, and refuse to open it because the only "solution" is to send an email to the account that doesn't work? Save yourself time and trouble and go to literally ANY OTHER COMPANY there is.

Bad connection
December 5, 2022

I'm a truck driver. I drive all over the US. It's really essential for me to have great service in every area.

I was with Verizon originaly but one of your workers at the store told me that you guys have better coverage.
I changed everyone on my business account over to At&t immediately. The person in McKinney store messed up a bunch of things in my account and they are unable to correct the issues.

The service is extremely poor. I send an email 2 days ago and it is still sending. As is indicated in the attached photograph.

Here is some advice don't listen to the AT&T agents because they lie through their teeth

December 4, 2022

Not only is the service horrible! I got SCAMMED out of my paid phones. Into a 3 year contract with AT&T. They say that you can get new phones with eligible trade in. What a crock of $#*!! In order to get the new phones they give you a credit to your bill every month for 3 years! I hate this service! Never should have left Tmobile

This is the worst company to resolve issue mid tech support, changing emails or just paying a bill.
We got att cellphone, internet and streaming. It took two weeks to get all the services connected and then the streaming did not work. They give you a separate statement and account for cellphone and internet. The streaming is a thirds account that is ridiculously hard to get activated. The first bill they charged double charged me. I called customer service and they were unable to see the duplicate charges s that I was seeing on my credit card. I had to file a dispute with my credit card to have the charges refunded.Once the refund was issued ATT canceled my account. It was canceled on 11-30-22 and I have been hours on the phone for several days to get it corrected. It has not been resolved. I currently am in the Att store and have been here for two hours. Now, they want me to come back with the equipment and return it so we can set up a whole new account. I can't make up this stuff. I explained that is not possible. We live 45 minutes away. They need to send a tech to come out pick up the equipment and set up the new equipment. If they send a technician they will change us 100.00 to have them come out. Oh and by the way we have already paid for the first box. 100.00. What a cluster. Do Not Use the this company. It is not customer friendly. And it is the most ridiculous system if you have to change emails or any other information.

Unfortunately I switched to ATT about 9 months ago. A major mistake. First of all I had a Galaxy 8 plus and loved it. When I went to switch ATT told me I needed a new phone. That was a bold face lie. They sold me the galaxy 22 plus which is a piece of junk. They told me they would give me $800 for new phone. So new phone would cost roughly $400. What they didn't tell me was that to get the $800 I had to stay with them for 3 full years. They credit my account each month. I am penalized if I pay it off early. Screwed twice now. Then I called to see if I could upgrade phone. They said I had to pay off phone first. Screwed 4 times. I see no recourse other than put phone on their desk and walk off. I am seriously considering that. Their WIFI here is disgusting. At times I can't watch Prime because damn WIFI is too slow. The speed test shows about 40. Worthless. I am going to switch WIFI this week. If ATT gives me crap they will get phone as well. If ATT was only provider I would do without

I hate at&t
December 2, 2022

I hate at&t all they are is lying hypocrites. They try to tell you can do something or get something and then say you can all they do is lie. They say your bill will be lower and cheaper and then it's higher and try to act like they never told you the things that made you sign up for them in the first place. I hate you at&t. You suck.

AT&T is the worst company to go through with your wifi and internet stuff, they are not good at making their promise, they let me keep waiting for the whole day. Not going through this anymore, I made an appointment for installation and no body called or showed up. After following and calling many time to AT &T they said they will set up a new schechule in afternoon, i called again and nobody was available in that time also, so they reschedule me for next week, i have to wait till next week for their own mistake and not good manner for customer service.

In February 2022 during an online chat with a representative of AT&T I was approached with an offer for an iphone 12 with the total price being $180 paid at $5 a month. During this conversation I specifically asked if I decided to leave AT&T I would only have to pay the 180$ minus the $5 monthly payments I had already made. I was told yes that is correct. I went a step further and said if the Iphone 12 is only $180 total and I only have to pay the remainder of that total if I leave AT&T before the phone is paid in full, I will take one. Again, I was told yes that is correct. I went online today to pay off the device and it shows I owe $547.47. After speaking to numerous employees, I was told by a manager named Aaron that they do not have to honor what was told to me on the chat because the employee made a mistake. I however before agreeing to the upgrade proceeded with due diligence and relied on what I was told by the AT&T employee, and I agreed to the upgrade based completely on what I was told by the employee. I am more than happy to pay the amount for the device that I was quoted, however I should not have to pay for a mistake or even worse deceptive sales practices by an AT&T employee. I have a copy of the chat transcript from AT&T showing exactly what I was told to get me to purchase the device.

If you're planning to transfer your line to another provider, make sure your phone is paid off before do so.

I order my phone through Samsung. Com( their credit card)I didn't know att could block my phone. They block my phone to the point for more than 6days where I need a MCK# called costumer service and they denied provide me a services. They send me to the new provider or Samsung costumer service. When the issue is a network one because of them. They gave me a reference number but none one wants to work with my issue. After 12 years off having them as my providers. Bad bad

All cellular service was lost in my area. My wife has Verizon heard her service was restored. My AT&T service has not been restored. I cannot reach customer service. I keep getting the runaround. Your phone trading service is unethical and that if I don't complete my 36 months they will not apply the trade in value for my iPhone 11 to my purchase of the of the iPhone 13 pro. Terrible, I made a mistake switching to them as possible. I will dump them.
