Complaints about unauthorized charges and poor communication from representatives are common, suggesting systemic problems in service delivery. Terrible
January 11, 2023

Cell Service is horrible along with customer service. I've only had them for a month and I've had nothing but trouble out of my phone and service. I'm not able to log into my account and they seem to not know how to fix it. I've been trying to speak with a supervisor for a month now and they leave me on hold for 45 mins to 1 hour or longer until I eventually get sick of waiting and hang up. Ridiculous!

Horrible service
January 11, 2023

If you cancel they refuse to give any documentation stating service was cancelled. I was told by the useless idiot on the phone they can only send sms to a valid att number, but since I cancelled my service I no longer have an valid att number to send the cancellation verification to. WTF, this is asinine, they have no problem mailing and emailing documents to you to get your money, but when you want documentation to CYA that's not possible.

Shake Down Artists
January 10, 2023

I signed up for two phones at an AT&T kiosk after listening to their promo pitch. They sent the phones and went to an AT&T store to activate them. The guys there would not honor the promo discount so I decided I didn't want them as my carrier. They wanted to charge me a restocking fee to send the phones back through their store. After calling them I asked if they could email me a return label. They initially said they couldn't do it. So I kept the phones in storage and got my old carrier back. After about a month they send me a bill for over 1800.00$ I called once again and they finally sent the return labels via email. I sent the phones back. After I got a confirmation email that they received the phones they sent me another bill for over 1800.00$. Not doing business with them again.

By far the WORST company ever! Worst customer service. No one has clue what they are doing or how to get you to the right department. If YOU got a billing issue, don't bother trying for help, emails, live chat, or phone calls, I have gotten nowhere. We were forced to switch our business landline and sold on the *******@hand VoIP service FAIR WARNING DO NOT use this service UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR BILL. 3 WEEKS NO RESOLVE. I would not recommend Att to my worse enemy! Rated a million negative stars!

Inconsiderate
January 10, 2023

I regret moving to AT&T. Worse experience and very inconsiderate people in the Loyalty department. The fact that when I bought the phone, the promotion was still on going but since they made a mistake by adding a line that's not supposed to be there, I'm told to return the phone because it's attached to a contract which I agreed but in order for me to repurchase a phone, I would have to do a trade in because the promotion has already expired. Mind you, it was their fault to begin with, telling me all kinds of misleading information and had me running around to different AT&T store. At the end of the day, they won and I got screwed. So beware of this company. They're only there to take your money. They don't give a hoot about their mistakes and or any consideration when in fact, it's their fault. RUN and go somewhere else.

The worst service with lot of hidden fees
January 9, 2023

I move my family plan to at&t. I should pay only 140. I discovered all hidden fees and cancelled the account during the trial period. I ended up paying 588. They reject all kind of adjustments.

At&t are liers.
January 8, 2023

First off this is something that has happened about a year ago but I have never giving a review about it. I decided to write a review because I was thinking about what they did when they switched over to 5g.
I was told my phone was compatible with the 5g switch over and that my phone if it had HD voice over calling which it did I was ok. My phone wasn't on the list but the representative on the phone told me my phone will still work. I was also not told that I would lose my number should my service get interrupted because of the 5g network switch, However when that date showed up my phone quit working. Not only did my phone quit working but I also lost my phone number. So now I was working to restore my phone number many representatives told me I could have it back but the store said I couldn't. It was a battle I tell you but I needed my phone number back it was tied to account for health and financial reasons. I trusted the representative on the phone because I figured they would know more than some local store. But the fact is I still don't have that number to this day. It's lost forever. At&t customer support was was deplorable to me. They had the power to give me my number back but refused. Now this review may seem long but in all what you are reading here is a very very very short version of what happened I was trying to get my number for days and was mislead believing I could. I was told I had to wait and wait so many days and to call back. All I can say with at&t is to not go with at&t and go with metro or TMobile. I had at&t for 8 years and I gladly moved over to a new carrier and got a deal for switching to them. There are awesome deals out there where you bring your own device and get a deal.

For a global company the size and scope of AT & T I find it apalling the lack of ability to effectively and cohesively handle customer service when it comes to managing wireless, internet and tv accounts. Any attempt to resolve anything takes multiple calls, endless wait and hold time and causes severe anxiety. Get your proverbial $#*! together people. When my contract ends I'm going Verizon.

Dropped the ball
January 7, 2023

ATT store was more than happy to upgrade my s10. They got the sale and then dropped the ball never completing the trade-in process and keeping my phone at the store while I was being charged for the new phone. After three months, I finally found a customer service person who called the store and got them to process the appropriate paperwork. It still isn't fixed but it seems that it is on track to.

I attempted to open a BUSINESS account... WORST experience ever. I spent countless hours over two weeks trying to get an account and phone. Problems for them switching from Consumer Cellular. Support was terrible; the reps were not English speaking, knew little about the problems and hung up on the AT&T Store Manager time after time. Tried to work through their Facebook account on Messenger... the reps there have no authority or ability to do anything of substance. Save yourself the stress... go somewhere else!

Empty wallet
January 7, 2023

I can't wait until I paid off at&t bills and get my self out of this house. The highest late payment fees with no international calls. I'm paying unlimited but lowest network not working even within my state when I go other county. I'm not Laing either. I paid closer to $800 for less than 1hr international calls. It's not fair. I'm not recommending at&t for anyone else.

Switched services from spectrum due to it being more expensive, $90 to $50 for internet through at&t and let me tell you, I'd rather sit outside holding an antenna I'm a thunderstorm than to deal with what I have in the last week or 2. First of all, the modem they installed wasn't giving me the 300mbs dl speed I signed up for and instead I was getting 7-9mbs dl and 300-400mbs upload, which is backwards. I filed for a technician, they canceled it through support and insisted they send me another modem. They sent me the wrong modem that is compatible with my original wiring. I called back and wasted another hour out of 7 through this process, and they sent me the correct modem. Now the new modem won't connect because it's looking for the original gateway(modem) and now they're sending a technician. This will be 2 weeks with trying to resolve this and a month and a half of service I am being charged for, that I've truly never had. I would not recommend and stay away or get out of this mess if you are in it. My next move is cancelation.

Went to the local ATT store to have my watch added to our account. After 45 min of two employees dorking with it. They gave me a card with a scan code to do it myself online. I asked if I would be charged before I did this or if it would start after I added my watch. They said there would be no charges until I added my Watch online. I have not added my watch yet and got a bill for an added device for $80 today. Now... trying to call helpline, due to a 7 min wait, I take the "we will call you back in 7 min" option. Two min later I get called back with a message..."A representative will be with you in 9 min". After being on hold for 15 min... they hang up on me! They are in the communications business and can't figure out their own system to make it work!
