They are deliberately unhelpful. The website is an absolute mess, the staff will sooner hang up on you then answer a simple question pertaining to the services being paid for monthly. I have been run around for 5 days now! I finally got past the review and was told a phone was sent. TWO DAYS LATER still no tracking number and never received a single email of confirmation. I will be immediately cancelling this as soon as I get my probably refurbished phone. A total waste of money.
Blindly signed for Asurion insurance? On new Verizon phone some years ago. Phone damaged in auto accident. Tried to make a claim for two days and never made contact with Asurion to file claim. With some thousands of employees they apparently have none to field phone calls. I did get a text by using FB Messanger but never a dialog. Verizon, my carrier apologized numerous tomes but did not have a phone for Asurion either. They are overrated at 1.02 stars. The worst customer service imaginable.
They just keep making me jump through hoops to get my replacement even though it was approved over a month ago. 2 months total time and still no replacement product. Their buisness model is to frustrate you until you go away. Complete waste of money and time.
Spent an hour on the phone with some dumb millennial and my new phones were never ever shipped! In the past it's always hard to get through to talk to anyone. I hate their guts!
They sent me a replacement phone I got some water on it and the phone is supposed to be water resistant up to 5 feet. They didn't seal it properly and 1 cup of water killed the phone. Called for 1 hour and they told me that that's my fault and I have to pay the 200$ deductible.
They are selling you the promise that if you lose or break your phone you can get one in 1-2 days easy.
You pay $15 a month on this promise but as soon as you actually need the service you will learn that THE WHOLE PROCESS IS MORE LIKE 1-2 WEEKS OR NEVER.
You need to constantly call them everyday for an entire week not knowing if you would actually get a phone when you need it! If you call them they will keep asking you to file a claim, refile a claim, wait 3 hours over email. DAYS WILL PASS DOING THIS. They don't care, they just want your money.
This company is a scam. I don't think they want to pay the claims. They charge you a monthly fee, then a higher than the normal deductible, and they give the run around for the claim. I put in the claim when I don't get and a response, I call to find that the claim was on hold. Why didn't they say anything, send an email stating we received your claim and it is on hold for whatever the reason, just communicate it so that I would not be waiting around. So I call and find out that they require an affidavit to be filled out and a copy of my id. When I inquire why they need this when I pay my overprice premium every month with my bill and get the runaround. Once I complete everything and send it back I am told it could take up to 24 hours to be approved. APPROVED for what? And the customer service is just dumbfounded they can't say anything but I'm sorry. I don't think they want to pay the claims, it is so much like right that the premium and deductible is quite sufficient for an old refurbished phone. BTW, I really blame the carriers. They take on this company and allow their customers to be scammed, cheated, and giving the runaround and expect the consumer to be satisfied. NO, I am satisfied when I get what I paid for, an issuance company that delivers and this one isnt it.
NEVER EVER even try them. Worst customer services. They lie and only stretch time. I called 6 times and every time they told me wait 1-2 business days. Now is two weeks and I don't still receive my phone replacement. They let without phone and they don't care about you.
THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY ON THE PLANET! Not only do they lack in customer service, they also lack on following through with claims. I was rescheduled 3x to fix my iphone and trying to reschedule was a nightmare. Oh, did I mention I was on hold for 8 hours and had to take off from work to deal with this? If you have the opportunity to switch insurance companies, DO IT! They show no sympathy for customers and are absolutely inconceivable. They truly need to figure out their customer service department because this business is the absolute WORST!
Sprint had signed me up for insurance for one line out of six. Sprint was unable to tell me when and who signed me up. Sprint transferred my call to Asurion, Asurion, was unable to to tell me when i signed up for insurance, however, they have been charging me on my bill. Asurion blames Sprint and Sprint people tell me they can not do any thing once it is turned over to Asurion. How can a insurance company charge you money and can not tell you how did you get singed on!?
Impossible to deal with. They send badly refurbished phone that are actually worse than the broken one you are trying to replace. Never pick up the phone. Hold times unbelievable. Even the office of the CEO doesn't pick up.
I got a replacement of my iPhone 7+ from Asurion! Yey! But guest what?! It is ATT certified restored! REFURBISH! RE USE! RENEWED! PREOWNED! AND you know what the agent told me? Feels like BRAND NEW! WOOOTTT WOOOOT I should be happy right! And her upper supervisor said shell give $375 in cash for me to purchase a brand new phone! Thats a great resolution Asurion! Keep it up! Keep your customer happy! YOU ARE THE WORST INSURANCE EVER! ATT WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
I PURCHASED A BISSELL SHAMPOOER FROM WALMART IN MAY OF 2017. I WAS ASKED BY THE SALES ASSOCIATE IF I WANTED TO BUY AN ADDITIONAL WARRANTY. I EXPLAINED WHY WOULD I BUY A WARRANTY WHEN IT COMES WITH A WARRANTY. SHE EXPLAINED THAT THE WARRANTY BEGAN WHEN THE MANUFACTURE'S WARRANTY ENDED. OF COURSE, A PIECE BROKE AND WHEN I CONTACTED ASURION TO GET IT REPAIRED, I WAS INFORMED THAT MY WARRANTY EXPIRED 2 MONTHS PRIOR TO ME CONTACTING THEM WHICH WAS 3 YEARS FROM WHEN I BOUGHT IT. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE WARRANTY EXPIRED WITHIN 3 YEARS NOT THE FOUR YEARS I WAS ORIGINALLY PROMISED. I EXPLAINED TO GEORGE THAT I WAS NEVER GIVEN A COPY OF ANY WARRANTY AND WANTED TO CONTACT SOMEONE WHO COULD HELP ME. GEORGE GAVE ME THE ADDRESS TO THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT AND ALSO INFORMED ME THAT THEY DON'T HAVE A PHONE NUMBER. (WHAT LEGAL DEPARTMENT DOES NOT HAVE A PHONE NUMBER?) I WILL DEFINITELY CHECK THE WARRANTY COMPANY BEFORE I PURCHASE ANYMORE EXTENDED WARRANTIES FROM WALMART OR ANYWHERE THESE DAYS. ASURION IS A RIPOFF!
This is the worst service ever. I've been trying for the past 2 weeks to have my screen repaired. First time they came out and didn't bring the right part. Second time they didn't schedule the appointment and I waited for nothing lady told me a time and never heard anything. Called again to schedule, that day appt was 1-3 at 3:15 I called and waited 30 mins just to see where my tech was. Just a nightmare. I won't be dealing with them anymore. Not sure why ATT would think it's a good idea to team with
My account holder insists on having Asurion as our insurer. However, I have had nothing but problems with them. Not only are the deductibles ridiculous, but the monthly payments are high, and the service is atrocious. For example, one replacement phone they sent me (a Note 8 which was supposed to be waterproof) stopped working due to sweat damage. But the refused to fix it. This is far from the only problem I have had with these clowns. Now, they are refusing to fix my phone screen. Total waste of money.
My Note 9 has a broken screen, it still works but theres a chip out of it.
They are trying to make me buy a refurbished phone rather than just fixing my screen, as per my contract with the company. I am willing to pay whatever deductible. They are refusing to provide the service.
They are telling me if I want my screen fixed, I have to drive out of state 2 hours away and take a half day off of work to repair my device. After I have paid well over $400 in insurance premium for this device.
Last Thursday they came and fixed my coworkers phone that had the same issue, they came right to her house. They are now telling me they don't do that in my area. I am in the same zip code, 3 blocks down. This is clearly discrimination. Also, she pays $9 a month and I pay $17. So why would they provide her a better quality service than me? Unless they are discriminating or at the very least sheisty af.

I purchase a refrigerator from Home Depot and decided to add the insurance which is provided with Asurion. My refrigerator was leaking water from the bottom and it was not cooling. I call Asurion to come service my refrigerator and I was told that I need proof of purchase, which is already indicated in their system. I forward my receipt to Asurion and schedule a appointment for someone to come out and service my refrigerator. I waited all day for someone to show up and no one never showed up. When I call to see what happened with the service person they told me that I called and cancel my appointment. Which was false information. I scheduled a another appointment and finally someone came out and told me that they had to order a part. When the part was in the tech was able to service my refrigerator. I was out of a refrigerator for 3 weeks due to Asurion not wanting to service or troubleshoot my refrigerator because Home Depot never I had it the protection plan on the invoice that was sent over to Asurion. It took three or four months before I was able to get my money back for my food spoilage. I was also told that I was going to receive a $50 gift card that I never received. I do not know how the CEO for sure you sleep at night knowing that their company is full of crap and someone needs to take action and shut them down. I really wish I had the money to hire an attorney to investigate all the issues that everyone is going through to have them shut down.
We bought the extended warranty for a range bought from Costco through Asurion Excellence plus! The Range stopped working so initiated a claim, 2 months down the line I still do not have a range, the initial service technician that was booked never showed up, so I called them. They do not service my area and have told Asurion this multiple times. They rebooked the only other service technician, however this companies online reviews were disgusting, including bad workmanship, aggressive service techs and overpricing. I informed Asurion of this and that I was not happy having this company in my house especially as my wife is on her own most of the time. 2 months later and multiple calls to Asurion still no further forward with my range being fixed or refunded. I have been promised a manager would contact me twice and no calls have ever been received. Will never purchase a protection plan via Asurion ever again and Costco also wiped their hands with this claim saying it was all down to Asurion to deal with and nothing to do with Costco.
I got their insurance under the impression my phone was covered. I was told my phone was covered.
I pay almost $20 a month for insurance that says unlimited screen replacement for $29 among other things its covered for. Well tried getting my screen replaced but asurion refuses to uphold the contract stating my phone isnt eligible but nowhere in the contract says my phone isnt eligible. Yet they refuse to fix it but they sure have no problem taking my insurance payment. If youre only going to pick and choose which phones you want to fix then, do the logical thing and I dont know put what phones arent covered so people dont buy this insurance and get ripped off by your false advertisement. Also very rude customer service wanted to argue and talk down to and laugh at me because im trying to get what I pay for. This is a joke, all they care about is robbing their customers.
My son bought an extended warranty for his Razor bike through Asurion. When the bike stopped working well, we reached out to Asurion and they asked us to mail the bike (it's huge!) but at their cost. We finally found a box large enough and mailed it off. That was over two months ago and despite calling multiple times each week and being assured that someone would call us back with an explanation about where the bike is, we have no idea what is going on. Each time they tell us the bike is somewhere else and we call that place and nobody knows about the bike. There are conflicting stories every other day and we have no idea if we will ever see the bike again. Sitting on hold only to be told that nobody knows anything but someone will call me back, which they never do, has been incredibly frustrating. Meanwhile, we have no bike.

Answer: Well, when that happened to me they sent me their IMO SPYWARE phone by the next day. I think it was like twenty-five days for my phone! I hope you kept your charger, case, & took the cards out of your phone first!
