Currently on my 3rd day trying to make a claim for my phone and workers continue to send me the same exact thing as the last worker no matter how much I explain that it isn't working. Not sure why I pay for insurance if I can't even get a new damn phone out of it. Ridiculous.
Broke the screen on our S10+. Phone still works. But they say it has to be completely replaced and that costs $300 deductible. Why? They offer screen repair! But we mysteriously can't use it? The screen and the digitizer LCD are all one piece. STOP THE LIES! Customer beware!
I have been pursuing having my cracked screen repaired since August 2020. There have been multiple repair appointments that were no call, no show by the technician. Calls to customer service take 2+ hours and I have yet to have an acceptable resolution.
Two technicians in three days and both have cancelled because they simply cannot read. I had a note put on my claim that my phone screen was cracked as well as my LED screen, therefore my screen would tap randomly and click things. The touch feature was messed up, so I could not take phone calls. I could not see the screen and I couldn't answer the phone even if I tried. Asurion promised this wouldn't be an issue initially. Well the next day, they marked me as a no call no show because I couldn't answer my phone. I made another claim, and my mother marked herself down for the on file number to call. The technician never called and tried to call my phone, which again is too broken to answer, then left my apartment complex without even trying to knock on the door. Now I have been without a phone for a week and am absolutely livid. Asurion is a joke company that lies about its' reviews on it' website. It isn't good and I have encountered two nice people out of six through tech support. The other four were snarky, combative and sarcastic. Horrible quality insurance, don't waste your money. You'll save time and energy just going to a tech shop instead.
Pretty sure they gave me a refurbished phone when all i wanted was a crack screen repair. They stole my phone case too
The tech came over to my place and broke my phone completely. I wish he would have never touched my phone. He inconvenienced me more than I could have ever imagined.
I was told by 2 supervisors from the CEO office I would be getting a refund of a phone I had to purchase cause they messed up and didn't send my replacement phone until 2 weeks later, well now there telling me I have to pay a deductible on the phone that I paid for at AT&T after I paid the 200$ deductible on the replacement phone, been this don't even make sense, yall messed up and I had to buy a new phone and was told I would get my money back and there trying everything to not pay it I see, I been hung up on over 6 times and still don't have my money back and need to pay my rent Monday, this is such bul$#*!
So phone was suppose to arrive 10/5/20 between 1-3 i wanted to 4 no phone. They emailed no knows why it did show then had to again the agent convinced me to ship home i said no there to sing she i put a no sign on package ok. Next ups left a sticker because it was not singed for wtf. Call ups have hold wait another day I have no car so i have to get a ride pay for gas and there time go 35 minutes out my way to find this package. Wait in line for about 40 minutes with the ladies there doing as best they could to customers. Then dive home in rush hour traffic. They could have sincerely tried to help me with my claim and told me the processes and procedures instead of giving me the runaround. Asurion is an irresponsible, difficult company who don't tell the truth. It basically depends on who answers the phone. Also they are rude as hell to a customer who is upset after having been told something different every time about the phone claim. The actual coverage is crappy too, I paid over a thousand over the years in premiums and the deductibles are huge making this insurance stupid to purchase. All in all Asurion is just an incomplete unfriendly unprofessional insurance company who will try to deny your benefits and charge outrageous deductibles and premiums. The replacement phone wasn't even new! This was not the case a few years ago when i had another claim. It was probably a different company straight through verizon. Assurion is the reason I chose to leave Verizon.
I had a bad experience with Asurion a long time ago and swore I would never use them for insurance again. When I bought my Iphone xs the verizon rep somehow convinced me that things had changed and got better and that I should get insurance on the phone. He basically made it sound like i could walk into verizon with my broke phone and walk out with another one. Well surprise surprise, my phone is broken and I've been paying for 2 years for insurance. I have to jump through all these hoops to get my phone replaced including printing off and faxing in an affidavit. We didn't have to do this to replace my wife's phone which was super easy and done online. It took us forever to get a rep on the phone and then all she would say is there is nothing she can (likely would) do. When asked why mine was such a dog and pony show process, the only response we could get is that each claim is different, thats it. No reason, its just crazy random happenstance. Basically sometimes you walk outside and its rain, and sometimes its piss. And there is no rhyme or reason why, or if there is, they aren't going to share it with you. They don't try to help you or act like they care. This is the second time i've had a horrible experience with this company. Personally if I heard in the news that this company burned to the ground (figuratively or literally) i'd probably do a happy dance. Any person considering signing up should instead just stick back their $15 every month, by the time they'd need to use it they'd have enough to pretty much buy a new phone.
Purchased insurance on my cell phone I bought from Amazon Jan 2020. Glass cracked on phone. Reported it to asurion. Was told that I would receive my choice of check or e-card when asurion received broken phone. Not the way it worked in past as they would send new phone so data could be changed from old to new and then you sent broken phone to asurion. Asurion rep said method had changed. So I bought a $1000 phone on my credit card, transferred data to new phone and sent broken one to asurion. In a few days I got an e-card for Amazon by email. Called asurion and told associate that I needed check instead to pay off credit card. The associate told me nothing was showing on her end and I should call back 4 or 5 days later and someone would be glad to change reimbursement method to check. Did as she said and 5 days later was told e-card had already been issued so it could not be changed. Spoke to supervisor who said same. I told her I had written asurion corporate office and had not got an answer. I had started to report them to the BBB but their site said to call her asurion number first. That I would follow up with corporate and I would then follow up with BBB complaint. She then said she would call me back but could make no promises. Be aware asurion lies about their product. Be aware if you get asurion insurance on products purchased through Amazon your insurance reimbursement will be an amazon e-card. I pais over $100 for asurion insurance over $100 in processing fee, and when the phone broke I got an Amazon gift card.
In challenging times they have no mercy or compassion for consumers that don't have the deductable funds. When you do have the funds to pay, they say that the phone must be in use for 60 days. Well it was broke, how could I? They will email you EVERYTHING except for the policy information disclosing that you have up to 60 days. The supervisor I worked with needs to be better trained in COMMUNICATIONS. She likes to talk over you, Puts you on HOLD and never returns.
When we got Asurion for phone protection everything we saw said that we would get a replacement phone within 24hrs if we filed a claim, even Verizon was telling us that. The other day I had to make a claim and now they say that my replacement is on back order because they are out of stock. Before this nothing was ever said about Asurion not having phones on stock. If they don't have phones on stock they shouldn't false advertise having them.
It took over 4 hours to file a claim with Asurion for a replacement phone. They kept trying to verify my identity by sending a text to the phone I was trying to replace. No one seemingly understood what I was was saying and the automated system had very limited choices. It was very frustrating. Find another insurer if you can.
My phone was damaged. They want to charge me 249 as deductible which the phone itself does not even worth that. After being on phone for 40 minutes and asking to talk with supervisor, they made me to hold for 35 minutes and then hung-up on me. It is totally rip-off.
Out of stock so they send a check for you to cover replacement of warranty item. Asurion sent check before I okayed it called them they told me I had ten days to decide if wonted check. Decided to go with check deposited it in bank and Asurion stopped payment on check. Trying to figure this out with them is a nightmare would never do business with them again. One of the person's I talked to was the rudest person blaming me for everything and hung up. Replacement phones are mostly refurbished do the math not worth your money to have them.
Paid in for insurance for 2 years and first claim for a cracked screen. After 2 hours on the phone, my options are Pay $29 and wait 9 Days to get the screen fixed or $199 for a new phone. The website is horrible and was no help to me.
DO NOT GET Asurion Insurance on your phone. After insuring phones for over three years, I finally came to a time to use it. So far, Asurion has had to send me three phones because each one has had major issues. The most recent phone worked okay for about six weeks. Now I can barely hear out of it and the voice memos function does not work at all. When calling Asurion, they said it's not their problem because it broke after a certain amount of time of me having it. They connected me with AT&T who said it's not their problem either and connected me with Apple. Apple said I have to take it in to an Apple store and try to get it fixed. Why would I ever pay my hard earned money again for insurance if their resolution is to send me a completely inferior product that I now have to waste my time to get repaired? Worst money ever spent. They do not hold up their end of the bargain and do not care about providing you with a quality service or solution. It's been an absolute nightmare and it's far from over.
I purchased a protection plan for my sons bike from $#*!s Sporting Goods. The plan is horrible. I provided them with all the information they requested and after not hearing from them I called only to be left on hold for over an hour and for them to tell me they couldn't get in touch with me despite the fact that they confirmed my correct phone number, mailing address, and email address. After all that they say they can't file a claim because my plan has now expired!

Answer: Well, when that happened to me they sent me their IMO SPYWARE phone by the next day. I think it was like twenty-five days for my phone! I hope you kept your charger, case, & took the cards out of your phone first!
