Wouldnt Recommend. 1 Claim for an Acer Laptop. Filed May 18th. Filed three times after speaking with 8 Asurion Reps and uploading the same document which I was walked through by three reps to receive an email to start the process over. As each one stated it is covered.
Today after 8 transfers to customer service later I just told myself I will buy myself a new laptop which will only take 30mins instead of the 7 hours + stress as I wait 10 days for the $100+ claim fee. Which they wanted to charge again and that is what made my decision easier.
"Our passion is keeping customers connected & secure" Lies as this should of been a 1 2 3 l step process like the first customer support told me which turned to 17 reps. 17 Verification codes, 3 chats and 5 phone calls.

We have Asurions Protect Home through Verizon. It's supposed to cover all electronic devices in our home for a low monthly cost, which was great when my laptop started acting up. I called, filed, paid the charge, and sent my laptop in. Issue was not resolved, did this 4 more times still no resolution. All they do is reset the laptop, call it good and do not actually trouble shoot anything.
This is not worth the monthly fee if they don't repair or replace like they said they would.
Horrible service DO NOT Recommend.
I registered last year in autumn. I brought in a Dell computer, they had me mail it to get fixed, assuring me that if they could not fix the issues, I would receive a voucher for the value of the computer for the year of the model. None of that happened. I received the item back, as is, stating unfortunately, we do not repair this model, although it has Windows 10, they stated also it did not... Such a waste of time and money every month + having to pay $99. For each repair.
Made Claim never came, called to reschedule didnt even ship again, had to call a third time just to ship it, very unprofessional and no customer service. No compensation for this either.
Repair was advertized as next day. Its been four days and I still do not have my phone.
The rep I spoke to before sending in my phone swore up and down that the phone would be returned next day. I also made it clear that I would not have a phone to contact them and asked about alternative methods of contact. Was told I would be able to get in touch with Asurion using the Verizon online chat service. This was a lie. Verizon is unable to contact Asurion.
Total garbage service that is not delivered as advertized and even worse customer service from both companies.
I lost my phone and due to the new policy can't use the insurance in person. I called to get my claim in & they confirmed it was, but the guy gave me attitude in my making sure the address was right. Then said someone would call the next day. NO ONE DID. I had to speak to 7 people (3 would hang up on you as they answered) and turns out the guy had the address wrong and the claim was never submitted. The phone is in transit and I can't add notes to the delivery since my buidling doesn't accept pkgs past 8pm. YOU SUCK ASURION!
I had written a review earlier today concerning the quality of their service and their replacement phone... both unacceptable. Anyway, the last rep I spoke to gave me a callback. The phone number comes through as "Arthur Fonzarelli" For those of you who may be too young, that was the full name of Henry Winkler's character, "The Fonz" from the sitcom Happy Days back in the 70's. Just another indication of the lack of professionalism exhibited by this company.
I placed my claim on Saturday approximately 1pm. I was told a rep. Would come to my house from 5pm-7pm on the same day to deliver a phone and setup it up. At 655pm I called to get an update and they tell me that they could not get a phone to me today, (they didn't bother to call or email me advising the same so I was waiting the whole time for nothing), when I asked how were they going to rectify the situation they said the only thing they can do is ship me a phone on Monday. I asked to speak to a supervisor and Zella my claim representative said none were available and nothing can be done. When she transferred me over to complete my claim and do a survey as soon as I pressed one to complete the survey and let them know about their unacceptable service the phone conveniently hung up and I wasn't able to complete the delivery of the phone to my house or the survey. This is one of the worst company experiences that I've had and will not recommend anyone do business with them.
Paid for asurion for 4 years before I needed it. They never showed up and never helped.
I scheduled 3 appointments for them to repair my screen.
Monday, schedule for friday. They never show up, never tell me why, never even let me know.
Next monday, schedule for friday. They AGAIN never show up.
THIRD MONDAY, schedule for friday. They NEVER show up, NEVER contact me. I HAVE TO CALL THEM.
When I call on the fourth monday they say they don't know why someone never showed up and it was probably my fault.
When I ask what they can do they say they can schedule another appointment.
At this point my phone has been unusable for nearly 4 weeks. They THEN say they can now replace my phone for $19.99 "As a service to me" WHICH IT'S NOT. I now have to transfer all my stuff and spend hours setting up my new phone. They say they'll get it set up and call me back. They never do, and I have to call them the next week.
I get the replacement phone, i send my phone back in and I think all is good. Then they charge me $200, which is the phone replacement price!
When I call and ask why, they say they don't know, because I already sent back my old device and they are only charging $20 for a replacement. So they say they'll refund me and call me back. After waiting another 2 weeks I call back and ask where my refund is.
"Well, we didn't refund you but i don't know why"
6 days later I FINALLY was done with this. It took nearly 8 weeks for me to be done with this stupid company and the representatives had the nerve to ask me at the end of the calls if I wanted to sign up for other insurance services through them. Screw you guys.
Called and had rep try to sell me unwanted insurance for about 10 min but did not tell me that they would not replace my s pen even though it was a big part of why I needed a repair. Tech got here and said he would not replace and that I needed to send it in to have it replaced. Called asurion who said I canceled tech appointment and they told me they don't replace and had to reschedule appointment even though he had left not 15 min before that. Asurion has poor communication between its employees who are not knowledgeable about their own product. Unhelpful reps seems not to care that they were making me jump through hoops just to use the insurance that I pay for. Hated working with this company.
$#*!s Sporting Goods sold me the Asurin insurance stating it would cover a baseball bat when my child out grew bat. That is not false. They won't cover it. They wouldn't even cover wear and tear on current bat either. Rip off
I spent 4 hours talking with this company. I was trying to get a battery replacement (which the terms of my coverage says should be free). But because they don't have a battery "near me", they will only replace the phone and I have to pay the $100+ deductible! SCAM! Advertising and selling a product that they know won't cover what the customer believes it will. It's a "policy" and blah blah blah... it's a RIP OFF!
I purchase a smart watch on amazon and they recommended me to get extended warranty insurance from Asurion, I added it on and even recommended to a couple friends of mine. It was all good besides the fact that my watch was actually in need to repair, so I send in my watch after I received the shipping slip ( that was the first struggle to get the shipping slip emailed to me, the first one never arrives and I had to call them back in a week to get a second emailed, and then off I sent my smart watch in March 2021, until today, May 20th, 2021, my watch has no where to found, and I have call back to follow up with them, they always told me there is an investigation going right now to locate where my watch is( wth?) the investigation started in April 29th, 2021, so basically almost a month later they still cant locate my watch and they have been telling me there will be a manager contact me within 24 hours everytime I called them, but I have never receive anything from them at all, no updates, no response, no phone calls, my watch is still MIA. I asked if there is gonna be a person actually calling me within 24 hours? And I ask if there is a phone # i can call to talk to someone who is in charge of this, I asked what are they going to do if my watch is no where to be found? The answer is all NOs.
Be very careful with this company they charge you low fees to get an insurance seems a good deal lock in to you just so when u actually is needing their service, there is no service.
Contacted them threw my phone, having trouble with it. Was told it would take 20 mins to fix. Carrie took 45 mins confirming who I was. Had to keep asking if anyone was there? At one point she Carrie said that she had to reboot her computer after that as I waited and waited I was disconnected. I will go into Verizon tomorrow and see if they can fix the phone and file another complaint on Carrie I believable she didn't know how to fix it and was hoping I would disconnect. Slow and sorry service. I wish I could give no stars.
Their customer service sucks. They've had my phone for over a month and trying to get answers is horrible. Sucks they are the insurance company for all cell phones.
When iPhone battery failed, ASURION offered refurb replacement, charged $80+ deductible, said never received return, charged another $175, for dead phone with $40 market value
Have a sealed system issue on a Samsung refrigerator. I called Asurion and told them this specifically i. E. that it is confirmed to be a sealed system issue. They said they could address it but not for 1.5 weeks. The tech came over 1.5 weeks later to tell me that he had no clue it was a sealed system issue and unfortunately cannot help BUT spoke to someone on the phone with him company and they will get someone over here asap to help after they get a couple of parts in.
I saw parts ordered and coming to my home then I got a call from them to reschedule for another week out. I confirmed and waited for the 2nd tech to show up. While waiting, they called me to say that not only will a tech not be coming but they are unsure if they can ever help with a sealed system and advised me to blame Samsung and call them back.
I had a long and painful conversation with them about being adults and taking responsibility. They jerked me around for a month confirming several times they could help only to completely abandon me and give up on the basis that they really could never have helped me to begin with but just wanted to try?
This company is a joke with countless failed processes, procedures, ill-equipped, and incompetent people at every level in the company.
I highly recommend everyone avoid them like the plague they are.
(Disclosure I'm in the middle of a refund still) so from the date of posting I've been in a 3 week process to get this refund back for $300 I've been told twice after multiple times of being hung up on "it will be 7-10 buissness days before you recieve your refund"
Cool great, but then those dates come around and they tell me the EXACT same thing but change the date.
I've never once been so frustrated trying to find out when I'm supposed to get MY money back. I'm not an aggressive person but dealing with this company has brought out the absolute worst in me. This is actually the first bad review I have ever written.
The entire time I've been dealing with them I've spoken to one person who was genuinely understanding of the situation and was very helpful.
Regardless If you have the means then go to another company and save yourself some time.
I've had this insurance for years and it's the first I've had to deal with them and it's easily a 0/10 experience. As soon as this is over I will be looking for another phone insurance provider

Me and my husband got this insurance just for my phone cause I tend to crack my screen a lot. My husband scheduled an in home repair for a certain date from 1-3pm and they were supposed to text me exact time and etc. I took work off early that day and that day comes and it's already 12:30pm so I called Asurion and the guy I spoke to said "you're good. They'll text you a time" I even asked him to confirm the time and he said 1-3pm. So I wait at home paitently for that text, no text came and it's already 3pm. So I call them back and they say I'm not even in the system and the only thing they see is a pending in mail claim. They also say that for my location it's impossible to get in home repair and the closest location is an hour away from me. (So wait. How the hell did I schedule online if that wasn't an option in the first place. How does that make sense?) I was beyond pissed off. I took work off early and called them before to confirm before and the guy assured me it was all good. I was on the phone with them for over an hour after that and they tracked the guy down but nothing happened after that. So I called Verizon and told them their insurance company sucks and they need to find another company to work with and canceled it. Now I'll have to find a place near me and probably pay over $100 to repair my screen. Waste of my money for real. This is not a professional company and do not bother getting insurance with them.
Terrible customer service, their representatives lie to you just to get you off the phone, have no intentions of ever really replacing or repairing your device. I would invest in a really durable case and save the amount they want to charge you every month to do nothing. After 5 weeks of getting the run around from every different person I talked to I would not recommend this company to anyone. I ended up just disconnecting the line because this is a company I could not stand having to deal with. If I could give them zero stars I would, 1 is too generous
Answer: Asurion insurance is who: Cricket Wireless, Verizon, & most remaining cell phone companies are with now! Just be careful b/c they are IMO SCAMMERS that will get you at one time or another!
Answer: Well, when that happened to me they sent me their IMO SPYWARE phone by the next day. I think it was like twenty-five days for my phone! I hope you kept your charger, case, & took the cards out of your phone first!
