What a total rip off these people are. Dont bother buying insurance for your devices with these people. Ive been trying for almost a week to get my cracked screen fixed and i do have insurance which obviously i pay for. They will tell you how easy and stress free it is to get service, they even say they will come to your house to fix your device. All lies they will give you the run around until you buy another phone which obviously will cost way more than the deductible. Total b. S. the costumer service is garbage. Ill be switching carriers for sure.
I bought 2 new phones sent both back and they are charging me for 1 phone that supposedly didn't get returned I mailed both phones back at the same time how can they get 1 phone and not the other when mailed on the same day
Asurion customer service entered the serial number of my laptop incorrectly into their system. When I went to drop off the laptop for repair at the UBREAKIFIX store, they couldn't take it because the serial number in the Asurion system didn't match the serial number on my laptop. I made multiple calls to Asurion and each time was assured the serial number was corrected in their system. I then made multiple trips and placed multiple phone calls to UBREAKIFIX and they said the serial number was still incorrect in the Asurion system. Asurion is a tech company and they couldn't get the serial number to appear correctly in their own tech system! Several of the Asurion customer service reps were not only of no service but one was extremely rude, stating that my call had gone on too long. Too long? The metrics for his personal performance were more important than fixing the problem of the incorrect serial number in their system.
Company doesn't give any directions when filing claim that you need to return the damaged device. I found this out on my own when I noticed two tracking numbers... one for the replacement device and one for the device that needs to be returned. I had to call to find out that they send you directions with the replacement device on how to return the old device. I used both online services, and called on phone and was never made aware that the old device would have to be returned. I'm glad I noticed that and called to find out it had to be returned before disposing of the damaged device. I'm sure they minimize that part so that they are able to charge you for the full amount of the device, in my case, $745.00. Unreal! SMH.
For 25 bucks a month, seems like a good deal, until you submit a claim. The website says they will repair or replace. They could not repair my 250 dollar headphones, Im a sound engineer so we are not dealing with beats headphones, they only offered me 111 dollars. I have filed a complaint several times. This company is a scam, low ball and shortchanging the customers and not living up to their promise to replace the product. When I tried to speak to the rep about it she was really rude and placed me on hold for over 30 minutes. I will be cancelling this insurance. I also had a claim for a mouse in which they did the same thing, didn't replace but low balled me on the price of a replacement mouse.
Spoke to a supervisor as I read him word for word from their website where it says they will repair or replace the item. They said no they don't do that, and want to give me "fair market value" for the product. The website and Verizon say different. 111 does not even begin to replace 250 dollar headphones. On that note, if my 2100 macbook falls to the floor and they cant fix it they will offer me 900? SCAM
I was given a 2 hour window for a repair and I didn't receive a complimentary phone call text or email to inform me that they weren't going to come. Very unprofessional. I waited 2 hours for nothing. Unacceptable
Purchased a protection plan for my washer and dryer I purchased at Home Depot. My bank account was billed for it. When I called recently about my plan Asurion said they have no record of it. I told them I have record of paying for it. They then said, "We see it here now but you didnt complete registration." When I told them I already did all of that with serial numbers and receipts previously they said they do not have that information and I would have to resubmit it. The receipts are faded now. Asurion never sent me a notice after charging my bank account that they needed more information. The customer service agents were unhelpful and would not transfer me to anyone higher up to help. He refused to give mne a refund for coverage I never received, but paid for. They flat out are a crooked sleezy opperation. Don't ever trust a word they say.
Insurance for our Verizon plan was switched to this useless company. You call one number, get put on hold only to have an automated message give you another number, where you just get put on hold. Three calls so far, longest hold time 55 minutes, and have yet to speak to someone who can help. Company is an unethical waste of money.
A couple of months after purchasing this insurance for my laptop someone spilled a drink on it. I take it to one of their local stores Ubreakifix and the people there were very nice. A few days later they find it cant be repaired but I shouldnt worry right, Asurion says they'll offer you a "comparable" replacement or the money to buy a comparable one if they cant replace it. I eventually get an email with 2 options they say they have "in stock". Neither are nearly like mine in size or quality, no touch screen etc. I call, the lady was very understanding and made notes about my concerns and needs and she said I'd hear back. After a week I tried calling but that took 4 days to get a person on the other end. During those 4 days I got an email saying they never heard back from me so now theyre down to just ONE kind they can send me... what?! I tried not to stress because they'd told me prior (and when I bought the insurance) if they couldnt replace what I had comparably they'd send me a check to buy one. Mine was only 1 1/2 years old and cost $685.00. She said she can see my purchase date and price I paid but said regardless, mine wasnt a 2020 when I bought it but a 2018 so they would only give me a whopping $168.75! I was floored. All I could do at that point was take the only one they offered and hope it would be something I could adjust to. She said it looked to be worth about the same as mine $650ish. OMG, nightmare doesn't begin to describe this peace of junk! It's super slow, the mouse icon thing slips and slides so it's hard to click on things accurately. This morning someone was helping me figure something out with it and when looking at the serial number of this junk... it's a 13 YEAR OLD refurbished laptop. I only wish like so many I'd read the reviews before I bought this, I normally do. I cant believe they can stay in business seeing how many people that even bothered to write a review were also scammed by them!
I paid monthly fees for over a year. My very first accident was an iPad, we cracked the screen. After filing my claim they denied me encouraging me to file again. So after filing about 6 times, each time a different excuse as to why I was denied, I finally cancelled. Cheaper to just buy a new iPad. They even said my home was a commercial address which is total bull! The agents helping me are very helpful and nice but that doesn't put a years worth of fees back in my pocket. What a racket, practically stealing!
+. I called on a Thursday to have my Dryer looked at to see if it could be repaired. They gave me an appointment for Tuesday between 9am-1pm. No show. I called at 1PM. Supposedly the service man was 30-40 minutes behind. I called at 2:30 PM, lady never got back to me with an answer. I called again at 3:30 Pm. After being on hold for 10 minutes, I was told that the dispatch office in Dallas, said that they had no service tech available to work on this repair ticket and were booked up all week. Could give me a new appointment for next week... They are worthless. If they had no service techs available, all they had to do is call. Worthless, worthless. I waste an entire day, waited 5 days for the appointment and now I'm going to be another week finding another Service Company. There is no excuse for this kind of customer treatment. William Wilson
$100 protection on $400 item, printer tray broke almost immediately. They refused to cover it. They called it "physical damage" which isn't covered. Literally, nothing can be covered on a printer if it isn't physical damage. They offered to return the entire cost of the $100 protection 2.9 years in as an alternative after I contacted the state of Minnesota Attorney General office to report fraud. The state told me to pursue fraud allegations with the department of commerce and I plan to do so.
They certainly have the market cornered when it comes to insurance - no other carriers really and they have you tied up for sure. Filed a claim a week ago and still do not have a replacement phone. They are good with the - well it is out of our hands. It is the carriers fault - but admitted to me that when the claim was filed - a facility in the state I live should have been used to send me a replacement. However the asurion customer support person if you could call them that - chose a state 5 states away from me to send it from - and there is nothing they can do for me. I keep getting a notice every two days that the phone will arrive in two days. If we could just choose our insurance carrier - I am postive Asurion would fold. They suck at customer service.

Horrible. I bought a roku on amazon and paid for Asurion insurance. Trying to get it replaced/refunded was a miserable experience. And now I get to wait for them to MAIL me the labels to return the item. Why can't I have the labels sent via email? Its 2022. It's almost like they wanna make things hard for you because they already have your money and maybe you will give up and they wont have to pay out on a legit claim. I will never use this company again.
I work construction and break my phone more than the next guy might. So, I dropped my phone off a roof- as I have a number of times. Inconvenient, but temporary I thought- based on past experience. With asurion, and other outfits.
Customer service associate that fielded the call was helpful, thorough, expedient. Told me I could have my phone replaced the same, or next day- at the same cost. There's a flag, but not a dealbreaker.
Phone never shows up. I call the next am (phone was to arrive the previous pm) and am told neither contact# worked at drop-off(# is 882 prefix- they said # they had was 818). I said previously it's just been left on porch. They said if that's ok w me they'll set it up. I confirm 1-3pm drop-off. Timeframe comes n goes. I call them/ to be told that they emailed me a link to attach a pic of damage( I'd told them when filing that the only visible damage was a black, glitchy screen{good case} no cracks/scratches) I told them that there was no mention of anything more than claim-confirmation email. Connection's broken. And I'd been careful to not be rude, because the agent was very sweet.
I call back and explain that without my phone that their request is very difficult because my other phone is an iPhone and work phone w limited permissions. Connection is broken; again w/o follow-up.
At some pt, the weren't sure they would be able to accommodate me, at all- or at least this week. As the didn't have a device available.

Bought a Samsung TV and got the extra insurance through asuncion. Went to file a claim when had just lines coming across the screen. Three weeks later still trying to get someone to fix it, still no one, after that the Tv went black. Called them again they said needed more info, sent invoice and a copy of insurance coverage they said they couldn't except that and denied my claim, will never buy thr extra insurance again, and will tell everyone I know never to buy it. Very poor service I wouldn't even give them 1 star.
We pursed a Protection Plan on our Washing Machine at Home Depot which is back by Asurion. In December our machine stopped working they sent a technician out on December 28,2021 who said he was putting in for a part. One January 14,2022 they said they could'nt fix the washer and they were sending us an eGift Card we have called 8 times spoke with several supervsors provided 2 different emails and we still have nothing as of 219/22. I know they think we will just give up not happening. We have filed a claim with the BBB and will be filing a claim in small claims court. Please save your money because you will never get your item fixed and you will not get the replacement money either. This is the worst company ever they take your money and then treat you like garbage.

Absolute WORST company known to man. Horrible communication skills, lack of knowledge, responsibility, and just overall a joke of an institution. If you have ever tried using their website, you will notice that all of their links takes you in circles, and they are okay with leaving you with "sorry, this not available" and gives you a random phone number that is "always helping other clients". When you finally get a phone, it is some washed up, used, wrong color, defective device that simply is not what you paid for. Screw you guys, screw your company, go f yourselves.

Answer: Well, when that happened to me they sent me their IMO SPYWARE phone by the next day. I think it was like twenty-five days for my phone! I hope you kept your charger, case, & took the cards out of your phone first!
