I feel that I received very good advice from Dr. Ivana. She confirmed some of what I already knew as well as things I had suspected, and was able to give me good advice on how to proceed with my cat. I was impressed.
My ten-year-old child has a hamster, and Cinnamon was bleeding, and we couldn't figure out why. It's Sunday, and no vets are open. My vet advised me to go to an emergency vet today if the condition worsens, and tomorrow if it's the same. The vet also helped me keep our hamster comfortable until we can get in-person help. I was grateful for the clear advice!
Asked detailed questions, and provided signs and symptoms to watch out for in the hours to come, which should prompt an emergency vet visit.
I wanted professional advice for the best possible way to get care for my dog over the long weekend with all regular veterinary clinics being closed. Dr. Tiffany helped me decide the best way to proceed, and I will follow her advice.
All of my concerns were addressed, and I was relieved after receiving her opinions and recommendations. We will definitely keep this site for future use.
The Vet was very helpful and knowledgeable!
I accidentally gave my cat some liquid IV thinking it was just plain water in the water bottle. I mixed iit in her food. The vet asked a lot of questions to figure out the concentration of the liquid IV in her food. The weight and age of Sophie.any health problems of Sophie. I was so scared for my fur baby! The Vet really helped, Let me know what symptoms Sophie may get. She eased my mind that my Sophie would be okay!
Direct and focused exchange of detailed information that had not been asked at in-person vet visit which included annual physical exam and med check. The single-issue the itching enabled our specific Q & A to be meaningful and helpful to me and to our care for our dear pup.
Rhett gave me the information i needed to make a decision as to what i needed to do for Emma after eating some raisins...
My dog managed to reach the table top and get one of my meds. I saw him do it and before I could get to him he took off and swallowed it. I finally caught him and shoved my finger into his mouth braving puppy teeth and to my dismay it was not there. Panic wanted to take over but instead I grabbed my laptop and searched for online help. Behold! Ask A Veterinarian appeared. I clicked on the link and was soon talking to a qualified veterinarian about Waylon's appetite for non food items. I answered his questions and was soon relieved to know that my 5 month old land shark would be fine. Thank you Dr. Brazzell!
Thank you very much for your guidance/advice during our difficult time.
It was helpful to confirm that my emergency treatment was the correct action to keep him from infection before being able to see his regular Dr on Tuesday morning it being a holiday weekend
Very simple and concise information! Will use this again when any of my 3 pets need help
Dr. Paul was personable, knowledgeable, and incredibly caring. She helped me figure out what to do next and gave me thorough expert advice. She even reminded me to bring a phone charger in case I was at the emergency vet for a long time. I can't thank her enough and I highly recommend her to anyone needing help!
Was happy with the help. But not the unexpected charge that i have already canceled.
I was sleeping and somehow my yorkie got 2/3 of chocolate candy bar with raisins in it off the table and ate all of it! I was so scared she would die but the vet online reassured me she didn't eat enough chocolate to hurt her and raisin toxicity is very rare and he said she would most likely be ok.
I am glad I was able to get some good advise on a holiday-of course-for my cat that has an bump on her ear. The Vet was very helpful and knowledgable.
I noticed a strange rash-looking abrasion on my dog's leg. It was raised/swollen and kind of pink in the middle, so I wanted to check that it wasn't anything serious or indicative of anything serious. It seemed like the kind of thing that could be diagnosed visually and he hates riding in cars, so I took a picture and started looking for telemedicine vets. The reviews for this service were good and it had a 4.9 star rating, so I gave it a shot.
They start you with an AI assistant, which I didn't love, that asks detailed preliminary questions; but then it forwards you to an actual live veterinarian.
Doctor Barkley was very professional and had a good virtual bedside manner. She asked some more detailed questions about my dog and his condition and asked to see the picture I took. She quickly diagnosed it as a "hotspot" or mild dermatitis (a superficial infection), told me what I needed to get and to do to treat it myself at home, explained the timeline and what signs to look for that would indicate the rash was healing properly, described what symptoms to look for that would indicate it was becoming something more serious and would require an in person visit, and answered all my follow-up questions to my satisfaction. It was quick, informative, professional, and she set my mind at ease. It was exactly what I wanted and needed, and I was very satisfied with the experience.
My only complaint would be that the service is not up front about the fee you have to pay or that it's a subscription. It tells you before it forwards you to the doctor that you'll be charged $5 for the connection, but the disclosure about the $65 subscription fee doesn't come until the fine print when you're entering your payment information. I knew I would have to pay something and was prepared to do that because it's obviously worth it to make sure my best friend is ok. The fee was certainly reasonable for the service I received; it just would have been better to have known what exactly the fee was and that it was a subscription right away instead of at the moment when I had to make the decision about taking the plunge on this unknown (to me) service or not. But, since the service was excellent and I got the needed advice and peace of mind I was looking for from a competent doctor, I would definitely overall recommend the service for anyone with a similar problem.
Awesome experience with quick response and confidence in what our issue could be. Saved me many dollars in an emergency vet visit on a holiday weekend. Highly recommend
