Tried to get info on my verison account and they popped up and for the privilege of NOT answering my question charged my paypal account $45.00. Tried to get paypal to reimburse it and was sent to a ask crew paypal site.

Ask-Crew is a known scam that I initially fell for by agreeing to a $1 charge for their service. I didn't know they signed my up for autopay on PayPal until I noticed a $46 charge and signup. I NEVER received or asked for their service or signed up. Their email link faked me out in that I thought I was communicating with PayPal (*******@Ask-crew.com). Research on scam I found many other complaints. They even have what looks like a positive response to refund the amount scammed from the victim as posted on PayPal but they never follow-through with the refund.
I believe they actually caused the problem and linked their scam website to fix it. Furthermore, after I realized it was a scam they sent a link to cancel the paypal charge that was also a scam!

I took $1 subscription and then charged $43.5. I used card where had no more money and blocked it when I noticed second charge. Support told they do not have this information why I was charged. I requested to remove my payment method immediately and they told they will check my request within 30 days. They do not have option to remove payment info from account. So anyway they keep against your do not give this right to them. I have to block my card and re-order it again for security reason and this is much more painful then $40. Service by the way is useless. They just copy pasted instruction from tiktok how to submit an appeal and sent me when I asked for advise for account reinstatement. Absolutely useless.

The Ask-Crew link appeared right below Microsoft on the browser making it look like it was part of Microsoft. After being told I would be charged for $1.00 for what I know not what now, I saw the I had a $46.00 charge to my Pay Pal account. After many rounds of chat, someone finally told me that I was not at Microsoft but Ask-Crew (I had mentioned multiple times that I was a 365 annual subscriber.) I just saw that I did receive a $46.00 credit on my Pay Pal account (I assume from Ask-Crew because Pay Pal would not have had time to process my refund request? Two stars for the refund.

We didnt authorize charges. They charged debit card; dont know how. We "cancelled" the service we didnt ask for and had to cancel the debit card (fraud) the same day. They quickly mad 3 more charges before the card was cancelled. If you see anything with Askcrew, call your bank and cancel immediately. Good luck.

I agreed to pay the $1 for some assistance but they were unable to help but they automatically signed me up for a subscription which I never agreed to and was charged $46. I've asked for a refund but doubt I'll get it!

I was using ask crew and never signed up for membership and co.pany too over 100 dollars out of my account and only refunded me 27 dollars I have spoken to a lawyer and unfortunately I will have to sue your company to retrieve the rest of my money. While asking for one-time help and insisting I wanted a one-time charge, no membership, no recurring charges. (I had paid a $1 charge to have my problem reviewed, using my debit card.) I was told that my request could be honored. Then, by impulse, I opened my bank app and saw that, while the conversation was going on, they had charged my account $46 with a recurring payment in place. (I made a copy of the entire chat and reported it to the FTC.)

I am really dumbfounded as to why some people give this company a good review as they did nothing but trick me out of $70 for doing absolutely nothing. I don't even know how I reached their site because I was trying to get answers from MyHeritage and somehow was led to Ask-Crew chat assistant which asked me to authorise a $1 charge that would be refunded. I should have stopped there but then I was notified that my account was charged $69 by this company and I went on to realise they were planning to charge this monthly! Luckily I was able to cancel this recurring payment through PayPal and I have opened a dispute with PayPal in the hopes of having this reversed.

Google should have kicked this overt scam operation off their platform years ago. They should be exposed by a successful class action.
Terrible, I ask one question. Was sent to a link. Then charged for a full membership fee. It was only supposed to be 1.00. I would not recommend anyone for this 1.00 question fee.
