The overall reputation of Ashley Madison is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to the prevalence of fake profiles and perceived scams. Many users express frustration over the high costs associated with the platform, which they feel exploit their desire for genuine connections. While some customers report occasional success in meeting partners, the overwhelming sentiment is negative, highlighting concerns about financial exploitation and inadequate customer support. Despite its established brand presence, the company struggles to address these critical issues, leading to a lack of trust and a recommendation to avoid the service.

I switched to Ashley Madison last year after all the hullabaloo with VM. I found it ok and used it for four of 5 months. Had a few interesting chats but in the end decided there just weren't enough new women in my area being added so switched over to nostringsaffair.com at the start of this year and have been using that ever since. For me its about having plenty of options locally or it just isn't worth it, so that's why I ended up cancelling AM and switching over. Good site otherwise though.
I been with Ashley Madison for about a year now and they always trying to scheme for more money. There are so many fakes on the site. Even if you pay your fee, they're looking to get more. One thing they do is to charge 29.99 for some service fee month for profile responding to requests. Another thing they do is charge 5 credits collect when someone respond with "quick" message. And watch out for automatic renewals they will rob you blind. I pay with PayPal and right away disable the automatic renewal.
I'm guessing Ashley Madison used to be a good and reliable site because I remember that whole controversy surrounding it when they discovered a bunch of political figures and high profile people using it for their affairs. That must have been during it's hey day, because as far as I can tell this site SUCKS. It's been a few weeks since I've joined now and I must have had only ONE actual conversation with a real person, and she lived all the way in the UK! On maybe two or three occasions I've spoken to someone only for them to ask me to pay for some type of chatting service so we can "talk" outside of AM. Every message that I get in my inbox is pretty much the same response with almost the exact same template. In addition, I'm a decent looking guy but I've had no more than about 6 views on my profile. Not trying to sound egotistical, but even if I was average you would think that people would at least check your profile out especially after you have viewed theirs. Hardly anyone has pictures and whatever images they do have are almost always blurred or "private only." Lastly, it states that this site has millions of members but I've been cycling through the same damn profiles over and over. Even when I change my preferences I still get pretty much the same exact results. DITCH THIS BULL$#*! AND DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
I've used multiple dating sites but I've never seen more bots than Ashley Madison. They have an elaborate and clever set up. AM relies on female bots to lure men in by showing interest and sending messages like "I only communicate men that can send me a message". The only way to send messages on AM, at least on the app, is by purchasing credits. The credits are somewhat affordable but the issue is not the money as much as it is not having real people to send messages to. This is a clever set up even by a "discreet" app that was hacked and had millions of its users names exposed a few years ago. This is the worst dating app I've ever used. I have it 1/5 stars above but it's really 0/5. STAY AWAY and save your money.
What a Rip off they charge too much for being a member the pictures of members are blurred out or masks on or a plank line blocking they're eyes out the pics r old and some of the workers on Ashley Madison contact u themselves to keep ur hopes up they lie to new members all the time I was on it for almost 2 months no one contacted me at all I sent out response got no one 1 back and when I did they spoke briefly then cut me off that's at me workers on Ashley Madison if u look closely enough u can tell its them I had 5 of them contact me in a month telling me lies and wanting me to put more money in every message a man sends is counted as 9 credits at a time so if u sent out three messages that's 24 credits u spent just to send a message out to 3 women u like they don't respond back at all even if u put ur cell number so they can text or call u they will not call or text u so stay away from this site its a huge ripoff I deleted my account with them today forever all I know is from experience STAY AWAY FROM ADHLEY MADISON GUYS ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
I am going to guess that at least 50% of the women on AM are not real. It is kind of suspicious that many have the green dot on, indicating thet are on-line, 24/7. Also I have received responses from women who haven't read my profile and then just disappear. You'd think AM would be trying to do a better job of being authentic after the scandal found that the majority of profiles were fake. Disappointing. There are real women on the site but you are going to burn through a lot of credits finding one.
I tried out Ashley Madison to see what it was all about. At first browsing the free site seemed legit. So I paid the $70 subscription. First day I was blown away. My phone was blowing up all day and night. Good conversation (with about 10 ladies) but after the conversation would go so far they would be asking to go to another pay site where I could get their number or address. After the first day, nothing.
99% of the girls wanted me ( a man) to go to another site and get a " date safe" id- and you needed to pay for this.
Always same approach- girl likes you, messages you- asks to email her on yahoo gmail. Then she send pics of her- tells you she lives near you and wants to meet... then you have to get a "membership ID'" so shes safe on the date. WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME AND $$$$$
Stay away from this scam!
Cant even look at a message without having to pay 200 damn credits. Why not make it so we can decide how many credits to buy, rather than forcing us to spend 70 Pounds?
I understand they need to make money but to what end? Im a tech savvy guy, and can tell when an account is fake, so there are plenty you scroll right passed, but that's unfortunate if they ARE legit accounts you are passing by. I have not spent a cent on AM and nor will I EVER.
"New" site is absolutely horrible. In order to find the 3 women my age who live in Southern Maine, I have to pick through 100 Boston profiles because the morons at AM eliminated the by-State search, which was a handy feature off the "old" site. Total PIA and waste of time. The old site was much more searchable. So friggin Millennial "updated" the site to the point of total. Worthlessness. Let year, I did actually meet and have coffee with two "real" women, but it took an act of Congress to get that far. They were not hookers, but the site is loaded with trolls, just like all the reviews say. I miss Craigs List!
Lots of replies, but nothing solid. Most women live out of state BUT are soon coming to your location... scam.
Its free to wink a profil to let them know you're interesting, and you have an answer saying that they are interesting, so you write them, cost you 8 credits, to find out that they never write to you again... Its generate by the site itself
Also, the "Priority Message" is automaticly set ON. If you don't turn it OFF, you first message cost you 8 credit + 5 credit for priority. Then all other message to that person are free, but if you forget tu set Priority Message to OFF, it will cost you 5 credits each time.
I spent 200 credits and I THINK I spoke to 1 real girl... All other girls stoped writing me soon I accept to send them a message for 8 credits, so waste of money site
Just got on the site, but very clear already that the site is not living up as advertised. Getting responses from fake profiles for sure. What women contacts you 10 minutes after you sign up from half way around the world. Then there are local profiles that look fake as well with what looks like scheme to get you to purchase credits. Purchasing credits to contact is ok but way way too expensive. I think there are legitimate profiles on here but overwhelmingly actual people looking seems are the extreme minority. Will use the rest of my credits and delete the account.
This is the worst dating site there is you have to buy these expensive credits talk its pure bull$#*!!
Amen to all the negative comments. Doubt any profiles are real. Immediately got a message from someone in Victoria, said to contact them at *******048 which is a number showing in Palmdale, CA. When the texted me back from it wanted me to "verify" at a website that wanted you to enter credit card used to validate only where if read the fine print would be registering for a recurring monthly service... Seems to be a general theme of all these online hookup sites.
This site is an absolute joke. As a woman on the site all I got every day all day were unsolicited d**k pics and requests for my 'private' pics. Half from guys in different countries. It didn't matter how many ways or times I said in my headline or profile that I would ignore those guys, they kept coming in. Page after page of d**ks. It got to be disgusting and pathetic. You may as well use a regular dating site. AM is horrible.
AM boasts about how many followers they have in order to make us believe they supply what they promise. Free dating is so much more effective and I find many of the same ladies there now.
Please listen. I came into this gullible and vulnerable. I was so u happy In relationship. Looking for comfort. They prey on this. They also prey on fact that people don't want To make big deal of it cause of fear of being busted. They prey on this. I tried it, lots of fake accounts and fake accounts that are designated to keep u spending. Which is exactly what you'll do. U will see messages You can't access until u spend more money. Then u spend money and the messages are all bull$#*!T. They are are set up to drain men for money. It's not really a site to help people meet. It prays on men specifically. Settingbuo accounts that gear at men spending more money. Use caution. U will see. I guarantee. When u express interest u will be sent message u will have to pay more for tonsee just to find out it's a dead end
Fake messages and girls. Don't waste your money. Buy a few credits, and then get it will a bill for another $80 for another hundred or so you didn't order. Auto billing. Avoid them like the plague.
Answer: Guys, it should not be so complicated to reach out to a girl for a hook up! You can find thousands of them on https://j4l.com/402007 They will contact you themselves, you don't have to put in any efforts if you want to have some fun time online. Or you just need to travel to them but it will be very rewarding, exciting and, what's essential, safe and SECRET experience!
Answer: Cops won't entrap you on AshleyMadison, they don't care. But you wife probably does. Often, she is worse than cops! Lol It's impossible to stay anonymous on AM - it's a well-known site. If you want to keep your affair secret, look for a safer platform, e.g. http://J4Love.net I had two affairs through their service. It was safe, private, unknown to the world and tremendously hot!
Answer: Kind of expensive because they charge by credits. There are cheaper solutions (vm, saphrina, some aff sites)...
Answer: Well, basically you purchase credits and you spend them every time you message someone...
Answer: This site is free for women, which i believe is a big problem. That is why many "professionals" join and try to make you join other sites, cam sites, etc. On sites like vm, saphrina, etc women usually pay as well which is good for the quality of the female profiles. But i guess if you are a woman you should rather join AM.
Answer: The question shouldn't be is it real, but is it worth it. If even one man/woman managed to have an actual affair through Ashley Madison, you could say that it's real. If for every 1 real affair/hookup there are 100's or 1000's of fake users to slog through all the while you're giving them your hard earned money... does that sound like it's worth it?
Answer: If it walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck what is it? Going to church has gotten people laid more than Ashley Madison.
Answer: Bill, this website is not owned by Ashley Madison. If you need to contact them you can call their toll free number 1-866-742-2218. Good luck!
