Placed order in early August (order # *******). Promised shipping time was over a week overdue and there was no shipping and no communication of why it didn't ship or when it would. I filed a support ticket and was given a new ship date. Likewise that date came and went with no shipping and no communication. Same thing over and over. I did finally received my order in a little over 4 months (it was initially promised in 2-3 weeks). Never again.
We ordered bath vanity from this outfit over 2 months ago. After repeated representations that the vanity had been shipped, we were finally given a UPS tracking number only to be told by UPS that it was not a valid number. I am currently on hold for the umptenth time while this is being tracked. Their customer service dept seems to absolutely not care. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
Prices seem to be some of the best for large appliances. But I've dealt with customer service via their email "contact us" page as well as online chat. I'll just say they weren't the friendliest to deal with and lacked regret for their purposefully obscure shipping policies.
Their FAQ clearly says they ship to all states, including HI and AK. Even the shipping calculator within the shopping cart showed "Shipping: FREE" when a HI zip code was entered. "Great," I thought. So I spend hours browsing the site over the course of a few weeks.
Then I contacted customer service and found that they don't actually ship to HI. They will send it to a freight forwarder which you'd have to setup and pay for yourself, but they don't actually ship to HI or PR. This, despite what their FAQ and shopping cart noted. Even despite what they initially told me when first contacting them:
ME: Do you offer free shipping to all 50 states?
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Yes we do. KitchenAid, GE Monogram and GE Cafe items cannot be shipped outside of 100 mile radius of New York City... All other brands we are able to ship anywhere in the USA.
Just beware of businesses that aren't honest and forthcoming with customers.
Unfortunately there are not zero stars available. I have never been given the run around more by a company in my life. I have been trying to get a refund on a refridgerator (on which I never accepted delivery) since July. Innumerable phone calls and hours of my time later, I still have not been refunded my money. The customer service agents are friendly enough, and one even seemed personally concerned and quite sorry, but their hands are all tied by the fact that the "billing manager" has either been out to lunch, out of town, out of the office, or in a meeting every time I have called. I have been told every time that he would be calling me back "by the end of the day" and not ONCE have I recieved a return phone call. Please, please, please do NOT order from this company unless you have lots and lots of extra money that you don't mind forfeiting because it is not worth the hassle to try to pry it back out of their incompetent hands if you end up needing a refund for some reason.
Recently during renovating my home I had great experience with the Appliances Connection Company. It is a great portal to buy all kinds of home and kitchen appliances. I saved my time and money both. Their team helped me in selecting the right product as I need. I am so pleased with their services, quick response, offers and shipping.
I ordered a washer & dryer from www.applianceconnection.com in a large part due to the positive reviews they received. Order was placed Sept 9th, after 3 delivery snaffus appliances didn't arrive until Oct 11th & the washer was broken! I have called/emailed/begged for service everyday since then to no avail. It is Oct 21st & their service department just hung up on me. Still no service. They pass the buck onto Samsung, which was the product manufacturer. Soooooooooo angry. Out $1200. Wrote 2 scathing reviews of their service on their own site & neither was posted which proves that I was "set up" by them when conducting my investigation. Reviews are REALLY important to me when buying anything off the web. They doctor their reviews by only posting the positive. They are scammers. Stay FAR AWAY.
Please read reviews prior to ordering from this company, I wish I had. Ordered a 48" Broan Range Hood $1,100.00. Arrived in box that look undamaged (same as many others). Even after we took the top of the box off it looked fine until we preparing to install and looked at the underneath which is severely dented and also appears to have manufacturer defects. I was unable to lift item on my own and shippers didn't offer to help.
Within a few days I contacted them about the damaged, defective item and waited 6 days for them to contact me about complaint. When they did they were verbally abusive and threatening ( I don't scare easy – I fight back). Told them I would be contacting New York AG and Maine AG. Aaron told me to go ahead as they were friends with the New York AG, which might explain why this company has gotten away with these tactics time and time again.
Aaron told me I was going to have to pay to ship it back – are you kidding me – you send me crap and I am supposed to pay. Try that with someone else Aaron. He told me he was a Brooklyn scumbag and that they knew how to "handle" people from Maine – what in the hell does that mean? That guy came up to Maine and approached people in this manner and he would leave with his tail between his legs – yes, I am sure he must have a tail. I have purchased many items throughout my life as we all have, but have never encountered anyone so abusive, rude, crude and so many other adjectives. I hung up on him as I do not deal with trash.
He called me back and said I would not have to pay for shipping and the item would be picked up and replaced at the same time but I would have to pay for item again – yes all
$1,100.00. Never heard of such a thing and I have returned items before. He told me he would send me an email with instructions on how to give them my cc info. I told him I would be looking for it to hand over to my brother who is an attorney. Guess what never received that email. My brother by the way said "no way" and agreed the AG's need to be notified which will happen first thing Monday morning. It is appalling that we allow companies such as this to operate in our country. In my opinion they need to be shut down and quickly. There are so many reviews that are so similar in problems and AP tactics (too many to count), please do yourself a favor and do not order from this company or you too could become a victim.
I didnt even know there was that many different brands and models of home and kitchen appliances. They also had the lowest price on 3 of the 4 items for my kitchen remodeling
Answer: The estimated delivery date is fairly accurate when applied to items that are already in stock at our warehouse (please note, this does not apply to items that are listed as Available). Please note, at the end of the day, it is still an estimate it can be subjected to changes, and not a definite timeframe.
Answer: STAY AWAY! We just ordered a $3,000 range from Appliance Connection. The range came damaged. The instructions say to start by removing the door. When the installer did this, the spring in the door bracket popped. First off, when you call you cannot talk to a person to report a defect. You have to use their ticket system. After a month of back and forth with their stupid ticket system, and the agent(s) contradicting themselves, they told us that it is obviously an installation problem, and they weren't going to help. Is this how you treat someone who just spent $3,000 at your store.
Answer: We ship over 1.6 million orders per year. Of those shipments, you have viewed an iota of complaints against our company. Likewise, the positive reviews also outweigh the negative reviews. It seems that you have signed for the delivery without inspecting the delivery, as we have advised you to inspect it prior to accepting delivery. With our agreements with the manufacturers, if there are any issues with the appliances, they would first be subjected to an assessment by a manufacturer certified technician. If the unit is truly, in fact, defective, they will replace the unit. If you are shipping the product back to us, we will provide a refund once confirmation is available that it is en route back to us.
