The place we choose for my mom was recommended by my mother in law. A place for mom set up two other appointments, one with Vitalia, which was nice, but not for our mom, and the other place never called. We friend to call them and no one answered, big red flag.
My mother will be moving in to Brookdale where my mother in law is.

After the third eviction in less than 12 months I definitely needed the help of A Place for Mom. In my case Dad. Our culture doesn't prepare us middle agers for the quagmire of care that follows older seniors and the issues and problems inherent to aging. I became blizzarded with sales pitches from facilities and communities whose names belied their actual situations, and my APFM consultant was a breath of fresh air. I learned I could speak freely and candidly with her about my frustrations, concerns and suspicions in sorting the many choices, or lack of, available. She was always in touch, every day if necessary, and very persistent in checking back with me, following up on contacts, and discerning of my dad's needs. She initiated leads and in the end, I made a connection that finally fit what he needed. And this was during the Christmas/New Years Holiday gauntlet. Many thanks! It's such a relief for me that we found a living situation that my dad felt comfortable in.

Every encounter was professional,kind and understanding. We found the perfect place for my brother with the help and compassion from all I spoke with and met with. No pressure and always there to answer questions. Thank you to all and so grateful for helping me find a wonderful place.

We had a hard time finding help and not sure how we got connected with a place for mom, but just out of the blue we got what was needed and with no strings attached. Never had a problem and they listened to our needs and more. Sometimes we just need someone to talk and they get a 5 star from me

They tried very hard to help me find help and support for my 90-year old dad. We did settle for a two-week respite stay at a beautiful, assisted living facility. The accomplishment was proving to dad that assisted living is the total opposite of nursing home (apples and oranges!). Alas, we just couldn't come up with the finances to be a permanent resident. But they tried very hard to help me find something! I didn't feel quite so alone. All efforts were greatly appreciated.

We were assisted by Holly over a period of several weeks. Holly supplied us with lists of places to consider that were thoughtfully created to meet our needs. She made time to connect with us via phone, email, and messages. We appreciated Holly's dedication and work ethic as she navigated us through the process of finding a suitable facility.

Staff asked questions to determine exactly what I needed and what would be a "good fit" for me. They completed the entire process from arranging tours to follow-up in excellent time.

My experience was very enjoyable and pleasant beginning to the end I received great information about the different independent living places and my tour was great and very informative

While living 2000 miles away from my aunt, I wanted to make sure I researched many independent living facilities that could fulfill her needs before making the trip. I have used A Place for Mom on several occasions, and this service saved my sanity. When I had to suddenly place my Mom in a memory care, I did not know where to begin. A Place For Mom gave me options in my area, with reviews and price ranges. Since Medicare does not cover assisted-living facilities, and Medicaid starts only when your loved one runs out of money, the prices, like it or not, have to be a consideration. A Place For Mom gives you options, and their support stays with you throughout the process. When you have to deal with the sad reality of dementia, get all of the support you can, and start with A Place for Mom.

I contacted place for mom for recommendations for assisted living…they provided me with several options in my area…and I found one that was ideal for my dad.

I first looked up their website. Called for to check it out. Within 5 minutes I received a second call from a local representative. She was very helpful in listening to my needs. Shortly after the phone call I received an email with a list of 6-8 Assisted Living agencies. I set up a tour for the next day with one. I received a phone call from another assisted living agency (because I had shared my Info with my first call), set up a tour with him the next day. I re-visited this agency with my uncle. This was the Assisted living agency we chose. This service was free and very helpful! Thank you!

My family member who was widowed and had no children was recently diagnosed with dementia. We live about 9 hours away but were the closest family member in both distance and relationship, so we needed to find suitable assistance for his care.
I co rates a Place for Mom and spoke with a dept who was very patient and answered several of my questions while offering a variety of alternatives.
I was extremely pleased with the services and was able to find the services that fit best for our family member.

Marci Clines was wonderful in assisting us with places to visit once she discovered our needs and what area we were interested in. We were undecided and would put looking on hold but, Marci always stayed in touch. Sending property web pages made it easy to decide if we wanted to visit in person. The property's were accommodating and easy to tour.

I didn't know what to look for in Phoenix when I had to find a place for my friend. They helped me find the place we moved her into.

I had success finding a place for my mom but felt that this time I didn't get as much guidance. I did most of the work myself but appreciated a list to go by.
