Never spoke to anyone. They never called. I tried to reach out to them by telephone and text, but NO response whatsoever.

They set up viewing appts and gave us so much information on packing and helping our mother emotionally through this major life change. I looked at A Place for Mom for help in finding a home for my mother. I got a phone call within 2 minutes of filling out information online. Was this good? Probably. But it was the start of 1 million phone calls at times when I was working or doing other things and could not take the time to talk. This was after I'd given information on what I was looking for. The intrusive phone calls were constantly asking if we'd found a place yet. Unfortunately, in the middle of looking for independent living, none of which my Mom would commit to, she had to have work done on her house, and that put everything off. By the time we got back into the house, she was in need of assisted living. By this time, I'd stopped receiving phone calls. Then, out of the blue, a second representative called me and we started the search again. This rep helped by giving me a number of Assisted living facilities to look at, but then kept sending independent living options because they had not updated the records in the file. I was getting contacted by independent living facilities that were way out of the area I was looking for. While I ultimately chose a facility recommended by A Place for Mom, I did feel inundated with phone calls.

I contacted A Place for Home for assistance in finding a temporary independent living facility for my sister. They provided information on numerous places that met our criteria and arranged private tours of each. My sister is very happy with the one she chose.

My husband and I arrived in Houston, to look for a Memory Care Center for a loved one. We had no idea of where to start. My sister suggested we call "A Place For Mom". Within minutes of our phone call, we received a return call from a most delightful and incredibly knowledgeable and efficient representative named Melissa. She listened our list of requirements and asked about several more and made appointments for us to tour a carefully vetted list of centers in the next two days. We ultimately found one that was perfect. It has been several weeks now and our loved one is truly happy in her new home.

They were helpful in both narrowing our search for Helpers and care facilities, as well as setting up tours and arranging interviews.

A Place for Mom was a great place to get accurate summary information quickly about independent living places. Laura could helped narrow my search with excellent suggestions in our area. When we decided that my loved one should remain in an area where she currently lives, Laura quickly provided a set of new places to consider. She was always professional, helpful, and very patient as we sorted through issues on our end. We ended up at a place that she listed, and are happy so far with our choice.

We needed to find a residence for our 70 year old son. We did not know how or where to begin; we and our son have been living independently, but his needs changed so that a group arrangement would be better.
A Place for Mom made one appointment for us and facilitated in four more. Each one would have been OK, but we were able to select one which suited our son's needs the best.

Caroline Ventry is wonderful! She was our advocate and eyes/ears for the whole journey to find an home for my hubby and she continues to help. She shows so much compassion and empathy and understands and guides very well. She helped me keep my sanity with all of the up and down chaos.
