They give u a job or two then scam u for leads they send u that don't have nothing to do with u services then somehow u fall under that category so u end up having to pay for jobs that u don't even do
I had never used Angi for services in the past, but I'm glad I did because the reviews for the vendor I used were accurate
It was great had all questions answered and everything done in a timely manner
I contracted to have mold cleaning, i. E., removal done in basement area,
Caught up in the heat of Phoenix in July 2020 with a broken AC unit and Covid-19 slowing response times everywhere, we called this company. On the plus side, they were responsive. But we discovered that the top-of-the line "Goettl" air conditioner we purchased for our 1,000 square foot condo that cost $12,000 was actually a Goodman unit. We've since learned that the pressure from our emergency coupled with our own trusting nature gave them license to mislead (and charge us lots of $$$ which we had to finance). We also discovered that the 10-year warranty for the equipment was not registered by them as promised leaving us to hope that we don't encounter issues anytime soon.
I contacted the company by mail after we learned that we didn't actually have a Goettl AC unit, and "Mark," the man charged with PR and damage control, basically told me we had no reason to feel defrauded. The fact that we feel otherwise didn't phase him one bit. It was clear that now that they had our money, they see no reason not to keep it--even if their representatives mislead trusting (or stupid) people like us.
We are senior citizens who didn't know better, trusting their earnest-sounding advertisements and allowing panic to compel us to a hasty and expensive mistake. Maybe Mark is right--it wasn't unfair and we have no right to whine, but I would not recommend this firm to anyone unless they have unlimited resources. Caveat emptor!
My old electric panel was a dangerous Federal Pacific. I knew it had to be replaced when I bought the house. My generator had never worked when the power went out. It wasn't old. Installed wrong in the first place. Mike replaced the old panel and all the circuit breakers and fixed the generator, too. Very careful with the work. I had been afraid it would be terribly expensive but turned out to be reasonable.
This man is truly an expert.
The company was professional and punctual. They were very responsive and and communicated well.
Albert was awesome. He was reliable had the part I needed when he arrived and it did not take long to replace!
I don't even have an Angie account to my knowledge, and someone posted a negative review in my name next to my positive review. I sent a message to Angie, since there is no phone number to call unless you pay to be a Gold Member of Angie. No one responded to my message and the spam reviews in my name are still up on their site. I have had friends who have used Angie and said they had terrible service recommendations and Angie is just a money machine and doesn't care about customer quality referrals.
Angie is an easy to use review site that allows me to post review and search for reviews with ease
These guys were terrific and did a good job. It was cutting down an enormous tree.
As a longtime Angie's List member I do not at all like the new Angi. The website makes it difficult to locate reviews, burying the link for the service and also burying contact info for the companies. I needed an electrician quickly, not wanting to wait for people to return with quotes for which many jobs can be difficult to describe. I want to conduct my own searches and make my own contacts.
The company I hired has had many problems with the new Angi, which they indicate has actually COST them business because their new processes and need for their separate application were not made clear, resulting in customers not receiving communication from the company, as promised by Angi. I too have submitted quote requests without any company responding. Companies must pay Angi each month, a hard pill to swallow when Angi is actually harming companies' reputation. I am seriously considering ending my relationship with Angi, as it doesn't seem to be worth the hassle, if they don't clean up their act.
To be fair, I must acknowledge that a rep called me to check on the status of another of my projects. I was impressed with that effort, something that the old Angie's List used to do. I stressed the need to revise the website to give the company search function more prominence.
Good to be a new member and excited to find out how app will provide assistance moving forward
They send you leads and over half the time you do not receive a call or anything back from the lead sent to you. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS...
I think it's a good source to research your vendors before hiring.
The plumber was professional and knowledgeable about the problem. Not only did he perform the repairs, he also showed me the problem and explained what needed to be done. He took his time and replaced parts that needed to be replaced. He also gave a great price for the work performed.
I sometimes use Angi as a resource for help with different business references for jobs around my home. I have been pleased with some of the references I have found.
Although I don't use it often when I do need someone oh, I come here and I have always found an extremely reputable person to work with
Answer: You'll have to contact the website directly. They don't monitor the Sitejabber website. Try to see if you can get them to delete your profile. If not, I would contact the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General's office or another state law enforcement office in your state. This sounds like fraud to me (but, I'm not a lawyer).
