Finding people to do work for you can often be a difficult task, however I have recently had great luck with all of the people I have found through Angie's List.

RAY from residential bath just left with a bathtub chip of an inch and a half and a nail sized chip in the sink repaired. I couldn't find where those areas were that he repaired due to the professional color match that RAY did. I highly recommend Residential Bath to anyone who needs bathroom porcelain repair.

Ruin Angie
May 6, 2022

Totally ruin what was a good site. Used Angie's List for years with great success. Now I get a list on contractors who don't call me back, don't do what they're listed to do. People on there phone barely speak English.

Brandon Wolfe's Ohio Renovation Pro LLC did an excellent job converting my unfinished second floor cape cod into an awesome master bedroom! He and his crew took pride in their work and kept the communication open. I highly recommend this company and will work with them again.

Don't do it
May 6, 2022

For the consumer: Angi claims to not allow people to advertise but they will sell your information and leads to anyone that sends them money. You can find the same pros by using Google and it won't cost the pros anything for you to get a price. Read the Google reviews on the company and then call and get a price from them, don't bother using Angi as the customer service is horrible and you are going to get some business that will give you a discount price. Warning: you get what you pay for, discount price = discount service. Find a reputable pro and pay a few bucks more to get someone with the proper credentials and insurance. Angi does not do any of these things, but they will tell you they screen their pros, yeah they ask if we want to send them $ for leads, when you say yes, you have been screened. Angi will convince you that by clicking their buttons you will get prices, etc. Well they don't tell the pros anything that you gave them about the job, they just pass along the information. You don't need a middle man (or woman), you will be much happier without Angi.

For Pros: When the Angi salesmen call you just keep telling them no and hang up. They will keep asking questions like "Can you use more money?", like any sane person can say no to that. Sure they will send you leads but every single one will cost you money (for me the lead costs about 10% of the job price generally $30 on $300 for example. Even the ones you can't contact, even the ones that are fake, even the tire kickers, and yes even the leads of your competition trying to find out how much you charge. Sure Angi will refund them sometimes (2 per month, make sure you use these refunds because you are going to need them). But mostly they won't or they will send them to you at all hours of the night and day, usually when you can't respond. They will sell the leads to multiple professionals, so if you aren't first in, likely you are out the $. But hey Angi doesn't care because they just made $100 from selling the same lead to 4 people. The customer service is terrible, unless they want you to turn your leads on or sell you something else, then they are super sweet. Don't make the mistake I (and many others) did, just steer clear. The will give you the "overall value" speech which translates to only converting about 10% of the leads because the rest are trash. I've been with Angi for about 9 months (only about 4 of them actively) and yes I am still ahead of the curve for $ earned v/ $ paid, but honestly the few jobs I received aren't worth the headache of the other 75 calls I had to deal with that were rude, didn't really want my service, hung up on me, wrong numbers etc. Just save yourself the stress, pay for better marketing and SEO and go from there. Pros don't need Angi to survive, Angi needs us, don't be part of their scam to charge you $ for something that should be free like a Google search.

Nightmare experience
May 6, 2022

Nightmare. App doesn't allow changes except canceling a job. Customer service is speaking to 5 different people for whom english is not a first language. My payment method got hacked; I called to change it (not allowed in the app) only to discover that my project had been canceled and I had to start the process over again. The "new" project (weekly housecleaning) was going to cost $55 more weekly than I had been paying the week before. Never mind late cancelations by cleaners for which I again had to call in and talk to multiple customer service people to get a refund. Nothing, and I mean nothing important can be done in the app. It was a perpetual, pointless exercise in futility trying to work with this company. Get into this millennium Angi! Nobody wants to have to call customer service for EVERY SINGLE TRANSACTION!

Try to write an honest review. The site all of the sudden has technical problems or looses your password. Vote with your feet don't use this site. They had to change their name because of legal trouble and shady operations.

Leads
May 5, 2022

So far I'm not happy w Angie's leads. Customer types in info not knowing the info gets sent to 5 to 15 contractors that each pay between $50.00 to $200.00 and up. I think if Angie's leads would make customers aware it would be fair to us contractors. They want us to pay for leads but they don't appreciate us enough to make people aware. I do not think I will be with them much longer. Definitely feel taken advantage of.

The contractor and his crews did an admirable job, and we shall certainly hire him again. However, the website was most frustrating. I tried every day for over a week to enter my review, but the computer kept saying, "Internal Server not working" etc. I finally wrote the review in Word to save it because I had to rewrite it all the time, and then called Angi. A very helpful customer service representative listened to my problems, promised to send word to the technicians, and sent me a form via email. I filled that one out, which gave me access to Angi in another format, and successfully submitted it at last. The plus was the contractor; the minus was the website; hence, the 3 stars. I gave the contractor 5 stars.

Do not use Angi. They charged me $413 after guaranteeing me they would not charge me until the work was completed. The work has never been completed and I have not been able to get my $ returned to me. The site is full of fools who have no interest in helping you and no ability to perform the simplest of duties. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR DATA.

Bathroom Reglazing Project
April 5, 2022

I was really amazed with the results after reglazing. It's just like having a brand new bathroom-looks like modern now, very happy with the result for a fraction of a cost. Eddie and his staff are very professional and thorough. They did the tub and 3 walls. Definitely will refer this company to friends.

Exspearences with Angie and
May 5, 2022

Angie was better before it joined up with Home advisor, much better, DOES NOT help resolve issues! Legal issues. And even covers them up. We've had HORRIBLE exsperences. And would not use service if there was something, more reliable. I being compleatly honest. That could of helped us SHOULD of after a company they stood behind SCREWD us OUT of THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, they did very LITTLE.,. We never saw a penny back. That was 1 case.and there was another with JP Nielson that was had a VERY VERY bad exspearence, had very little help from Angie until I threatened.the PRO you did NOTHING to him after he tore the facing off our house. Ruined our foundation and had to redo it. He got off Scott free. So you see if there were a better service

Sprinkler System Repair
April 5, 2022

Reached out to Angi via HomeAdvisor. They provided a few companies and I reached out to one.

I called HB Quality Irrigation, LLC, this morning and Victor G. Called me up. He was able to visit my home within a couple of hours. I explained to him what had transpired over the past several months regarding damage to my property by new home construction crews. I explained/showed him where the problem with my sprinkler system was (no pressure/system [Zone 7] not working). Victor troubleshot the system and was able to determine there was a link near where the construction crews messed up my lawn near the sidewalk. He was able to replace the broken PVC pipe, and within 15 minutes of repair, the system was working full-throttle in the backyard. Well done, Victor! Additionally, the price was reasonable (less than what Angi suggested the price was). I would highly recommend this company if you have any issues with your sprinkler system! I will reach out to them again in the future!
