WORST COMPANY EVER!
April 19, 2023

Where do I even start. I looked into AmeriSave for a mortgage and was greeted with a guy named Jonathan Rozanski who was trying to help me and honestly thought he was going to help me. The process was basically sending an email and waiting at least 2-3 days to hear back. This was the most stressful process and I have closed on many properties before and it should not had been stressful. This company made me give them money for a "lock fee" and should of been the first red flag. No other company should charge anyone for a lock fee for any reason. I tried to file a complaint with the manager of Jonathan named Rebecca Clouthier and she didn't even bother to reply to my email or voicemail I left her. This company is a joke and a scam and I am here to warn people of this company. They never called me or emailed me of anything after sending multiple "please update me" emails even months after the scheduled closing. Thankfully I was able to reach out to another mortgage company and they were able to close my loan in two weeks and saw no reason why it couldn't close. I hope this review reached whoever is in charge of this company and takes discipline actions against everyone involved.

NEVER PAY A COMPANY A LOCK FEE!

AmeriSave quoted and approved me for a loan. Found out from the realtor that AmeriSave does not loan on manufactured homes in mobile home parks, and now AmeriSave won't give back the deposit I paid on a loan I was told was approved. They finally admitted that they wouldn't loan on my type of loan and still I cannot get my money back, stay away from this lender.

Veterans stay away
April 13, 2023

Veterans stay away from this Company, they lure you in with false promises, I cancelled a VA Home loan application, due to the fact my house is in need of repairs, after telling 3 people the shape my house was in they continued with the loan, even though it wouldn't pass a VA home inspection and charged me for a BS appraisal, then looking at the loan papers, the points and closing were insane, I'm filing a report to the Department of Veterans Affairs about this company

Worst experience ever
March 25, 2023

Worked with Tarek and Sean. They are absolute imbeciles. They hired an appraiser that valued our home under 30k. The listing agent submitted a reconsideration and the appraiser just refused to reply. Tarek and Sean continually asked me and my real estate agent for updates on the reconsideration- when they filed it! And they hired the appraiser! Tarek was relentless about reminding everyone he was a lawyer. Obviously a bad one if he's selling loans for an awful company. Thank god we were able to switch companies and qualify for a loan that Tarek said we couldn't qualify for. His manager Sean is even dumber. He actually dodged our calls for over a week. Do not waste your money or time. You likely will lose your dream home.

STAY AWAY
March 24, 2023

Worst company ever, they lie, they change terms, make excuses, and no communication. They wasted three months of my time and money for an appraisal for the lock-in. In the end they made a mess of things didn't account all factors. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!' Loan officers don't call you back, you submit the same documents over and over again and then they ask for more. They claim they make sure they can help you before they let it go to far down the road. SCAM! NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE

Do not recommend AmeriSave. I am using my pay it forward to share out expensive experience. AmeriSave practices deceptive mortgage lending practices in which the loan originator will lure with misleading interest rates & locked them in. AmeriSave lending officer was incompetent which resulted in making us miss our lock in time frame. Additionally, the loan officer mislead everyone including her colleagues in communicating loan specifics. She created loan we did not qualify for and gathered boat lists of info due to her poor judgement, lack of knowledge and failure to acknowledge she was in over her head. TWO MONTHS LATER we were forced to elevate to the sales manager of AmeriSave who assured us he was in it, and assured us it would be a swift fix. He proved to be a complete disappointment who lacked initiative, care, personal investment and empathy. Ultimately, THREE AND HALF months we were ghosted by both.

UPON CONTACTING THE president of AmeriSave who apologized and said don't worry about the $650 bill, but that's all we can do….I disagree. Grateful for his owning the inadequacy of his colleagues, in my opinion, As president of a mortgage company he could do much more. He has access to phone recordings and paper trails. If he possessed any business integrity, he would have first hand ensured we were at minimum - reimbursed for the money we were out for this costly, time intensive process. I have zero respect for this company or it's people. AmeriSave lack integrity, honesty, transparency, communication or principles.I wish I read the reviews before I started. Do yourself a favor, skip to the next lender.

My loan officer was very unresponsive, I'm not sure if he was really even working most of the time. Delay after delay, had to resubmit documents multiple times. Tried calling his manager who never called me back, also called customer service, that was a joke too. Customer service just puts in a request for the manager to call you, but they never did. Save yourself the headache, especially when time is of the essence and money is on the line.

Company is a SCAM
March 3, 2023

Extremely unprofessional company. I was working with them for over 30 days and had to walk away with 13 days left to close. Bryan Barlage is incapable of checking his emails and communicating. He would ask me for documents and I would send them within a few hours. Then he would call me a week later asking for the same docs. He did this several times and eventually cancelled my loan with 13 days left to close and refused to reimburse the $500 interest lock in fee. He also is invoicing me for the appraisal but refused to send that appraisal to me or my new lender. Thankfully I was able to work with and get approved with my new lender with the same exact documents I sent Amerisave, and they did not give me any trouble. This company is a scam so think twice before working with them. Do not waste your time and money like I did.

Stay Away at all cost
February 11, 2023

I would not choose this company again if my life depended on it, I currently have my mortgage through them and trying to get away from this company. They have hidden fees in the sub lender DMI they send you off to. It was virtually impossible to get a hold of my loan officer prior and after closing. They charged a ridiculous amount of closings costs, nothing went as told. They shorted my Escrow so when it was time for payment to be paid, I had to cover the difference because the back of the letter that was not disclosed states any changes in property taxes is the customers responsibility to notify the lender. At this time I didnt have any information to give I didnt find out until after closing. The process was one big.rush and close and get paid.So now because of so many errors and mistakes it is impossible to get away from this company. They have ruined any capability for me to refinance and go some place else from their fees and costs, even lied about interest rate. Higher then agreed too. Everything about this company is one big joke. Stay away from them. Do yourself a favor and save the headache and waste of time.

Horror Story
January 6, 2023

After receiving my pre-approval letter, have my offer accepted on a house, and being told through multiple emails I was good to go and the house would be mine after we order title work and appraisal I was completely ghosted. Got one call from his supervisor saying he would handle my account then nothing for 3 weeks. The day before closing I receive a phone call saying he was sorry about the miscommunication but my loan wont be going through now. The next morning I received a generic email from the original loan officer saying Im prequlified for a home loan through them. Absolutly horrible company who will waste your time and give you false hope!

If I could give less than one star I would. This company stole $500 and refused to refund me. They lied and provided no services. Original terms and quotes drastically changed to where I could not get a loan and yet they tool a $500 interest rate lock-in deposit and yet I am not getting a loan through them or anyone and can't now and they just stole $500 from my bank account since they refuse to refund me the money. They are crooks and should not be trusted. Stay away from Amerisave and go with actual reputable people and ethical people who aren't out to scam you.

I was able to successfully refinance with Amerisave. Thanks to Taylor Thomas and Erin Scianimanico for there professional work. I am a union employee with and atypical house and a property that was being replatted into different parcels. This was a tough one. Thanks again for sticking with it through the process.

Scammers
November 27, 2022

I had a reasonable quote from Amerisave to install solar panels in my house. A month or so after signing the contract I get an email about a loan modification. I tried to open that email but I was not able to. When I contacted my salesman Gerald asking him why is there a change in the loan amount, he proceeded to tell me that their inspector who inspected my roof determined that I need a new roof that cost $15k which was added to the cost of the solar panels. At that moment I realized that those guys are crooks as I was never told about this new roof and they were going to install and charge me an extra $15k. Be aware of this company and avoid doing business with them they are scammers.

Absolutely Horrible
November 1, 2022

This company is a nightmare. With so much riding on a real estate transaction for all parties involved... these guys took their sweet time, did not comply with deadlines, told lies that were proven to be lies, and had terrible communication. Due to their negligence, they held up closing which caused many negative consequences. Do you think they cared or tried to remedy the situation. Nope. CALL ANOTHER LENDER!

Johnathan Kavanaugh is the worst loan originator at AmeriSave. He creepily dug into my whole background and sent me messages on the side while looking into my credit report. Doing credit scan is one thing, but to dive deep into my personal information and question all that he sees is a violation of my privacy. Not only that, he also unnecessarily shared my personal information with agents he sent my way. Did not feel comfortable working with that company.

Horrible service
September 23, 2022

We began the process in the middle of July. From day one it seemed legit and would be the perfect fit for us on a refinance. However from then on the asked for the same documents multiple times and we sent them every time. This continued until recently when out of no where after we had thought every was good I check our amerisave page and it was declined with no explanation, email, or call. We had 3 closing dates set in this time frame and the day before on every single one something else would come up. The two guys we dealt with had no clue what was needed to send to underwriting to get this thing done. I did 75% of the leg work myself. I am so glad that it was declined because my wife and I were started worrying what the service would be like after closing and if they would screw that paperwork up and we would lose our house. If anyone is looking to refinance or buy a home stay as far away from Amerisave as possible.

After changing loan officers and processors 3-4 times and getting ghosted, I realized that after waiting 3.5 months, this deal was not happening. They told me all they were waiting for was title to come back and then I kept following up over and over with phone calls and emails and NOTHING. I called the number kept getting transferred and hung up on. They definitely wasted time I can never get back. Don't be like me and ignore the reviews. Everything you read is true, they are the absolute worst ever.

Bait and switch
September 10, 2022

Applied to prequalify for a mortgage loan over a week ago.
Original email said 4.99%-5.35%.
Loan officer cameback with 5.85%, which was not what was communicated.
Then estimates $9k in closing fees for points. When i challenge why and to be removed. Explanation is buying points is good. Also did not fix the high cost but pushed a $1000 if signed today.
Sorry a company that lies on interest rates and closing cost inflation - should not be in business.

I filed a report on this company they called to talk about financing, never sent over paperwork for me to sign to give permission to pull my credits and broke into my locked equafax account and got information on me. So I filed a FTC of tampering with my credit information. September 4,2022 they did. I tried to called them no answer, I want to bring them to court as well because that is illegal.
