Their customer service SUCKS! Buy from anyone but them. Bought a unit and it was damaged in the shipping process. I have sent two emails and three voice mails on trying to get the shipping damaged fixed. I am about to get a lawyer and get my lift paid for.

I was disappointed with the kind of promises that this company makes.
I had to make numerous phone calls to get the equipment installed.
It was most frustrating to get in touch with anyone...
I got so many promises that were unkept
The contractor was rude and did not do a good job of installing the equipment.
There are plenty of other better customer friendly companies

I just bought a used unit out of the Arizona Ameriglide office. NEVER AGAIN! Issues:

1. The black chain which came with my 13-step stairlift was about 50-inches short. Apparently, according to one of the many "techs" I talked with, the top motor/seat section they shipped was for a much shorter set of stairs. I spend several hours on the phone trying to get them to overnight the remaining black chain... in time for my father-in-law to arrive tomorrow night. But no luck... complete run-around (2-3 hours wasted, and I still don't know if someone is overnighting the 50-inches of black chain).

2. The splice bars to the top motor/seat section were missing. I had already installed the other two track sections before realizing... the four splice bars which were supposed to be in the top section were in the lower track. So I had to remove all the track and stair brackets to remove and put them where they belonged (2-extra hours).

3. The "Track End Plate" was missing from one of the tracks. Only after about an hour did I realize it was located in the wrong box -- contradicting the video and written instructions. It was lodged under some packing material, and I almost missed it.

4. Missing the washers to the four screws which hold the seat on top.

5. The written installation guide is practically useless without being able to actually see the photos. It appears as if someone has made a copy of a copy, of a copy of a copy. The resulting photos look like black blobs. Not very helpful.

Never again.

I was impressed with my stairlift for over 3 years. It is a fix or repair daily item.My wife and I both need it but we struggle almost every night trying to get up the stairs because the lift decides to quit operating.

I have had it repaired several times but it doesn't work long after repairs. It costs each time. If I had only purchased a different manufacturer I Wouldn't be walking so much!

Item was not packed well enough for what it weighs.
Two of the three packages were split open.
Base that chair fits on to was bent, fixed with Channel Lock Pliers.
The Foot Rest is entirely too small for a large person, causing your feet to dangle over the edge. (Safety Issue)
The Magnet in the Remote Up/Down was loose and rolling around inside the box with an electrical switch. (Safety Issue)
Poor Quality Control, who ever packed this should have noticed.
Improvement is needed in your Packing Department and Quality Control.
Other than those issues I am happy with the Lift and it works well.

Customer service is non-existent.

I was given the run around on a quick ship item and it took more than two weeks to receive. They made excuses for their service and manufacturer. They were not concerned with their false advertisement and made no attempt to expedite shipping. They are not concerned about retaining customers or growing their business.

Wonderful! The chair lift has been a life saving addition to my home. It was at my house on time as promised and installation was very professional. Highly recommend to anyone needing an affordable and professional company to work with.

I purchased a Serta 358M Lift Chair for my elderly mother who has very painful arthritis in her shoulders. Prior to the lift chair, she had to be helped out of a regular chair or off a sofa. She loves it! The chair has made such a difference! She no longer has to push up out of a chair. It stands her right up! The recliner allows her to adjust to a comfortable position, and she is even sleeping better at night. It's money well spent. Mr. Craig McCullough was the salesman who helped me. He is truly an asset. His patience, knowledge, and welcoming attitude won me over! Thank you so much!

After search for few brand, I decide to buy AmeriGlide Rave Stair Lift because the price is reasonable and doesn't take much place to operate it.
I suggest please change the installation manual on AmeriGlide website same with the one came along with stair lift because that is confusing and with color, plus write more detail about how to install the stair lift. It take 2 people and about 8 hours to finish install the stair lift but so far (a month) still okay.
One more thing, please reply customer email even the stair lift was delivered.
Overall, Ameriglide is good quality stair lift, just need more customer service and guidance how to install.

This is the second staIr lift that I have purchased from Ameriglide. The first had a weight capasity of 500 pounds that I no longer needed as I had a gastric bypass. The second has a weight capasity of 350 pounds and I now weigh 150 pounds it is perfect for my family. The new lift takes up very little room on the stairs and has 2 handy remote controls. Both lifts were installed by very professional Ameriglide installers. The end result of both stair lifts installations was excellant and customer service was superior. Both lifts were handled by Guy Dodson and we have never experianced any down time. Catherine Dunbar, Ledyard, CT

Website contained mostly all the information I needed to learn about, order, an install the stair lift I wanted. My order was phoned in with my particular dimensions and was received within a week with no missing parts. I installed it myself. The instructions were fairly clear, but had some fuzzy parts. I would rate them a B+. It took me about 8 hours to install with much of the time taken to install the wood screws into the oak stairtreads. (My 3/8 drill was not powerful enough to drive the screws even with the pilot hole so I had to use my socket wrench by hand.) The chair works well, and my wife and I are happy with it. All in all a very satisfactory experience.

I purchased a used electric stair lift from Ameriglide and was totally satisfied with every aspect of the purchase. Ordering by phone was easy and delivery was made within 3 days. I installed the unit by myself and found the instructions easy to follow. I did require assistance, as suggested, to carry and position the chair module at the top of the stairs. The unit has worked perfectly since the installation several weeks ago. We use it daily to help my wife get to and from our bedroom. I will point out that installation time is more like 4 hours if working alone; not 2 hrs as advertised.

We purchased two AmeriGlide Ultra stairlift units and are quite happy with the performance of the units. Our sales rep was very helpful in finding the the right selection to suit fill our needs(including saving us some money on installation costs). The installation was done in a timely and professional manner and the technician who installed the units did a good job of going over the operation of the stairlifts and teaching my wife how to operate the lifts. Overall, we are very happy with the stairlifts and would recommend AmeriGlide to others.

Ordered stairlift over a month ago and after having installers here twice, I still don't have a working lift. Paid out of my own pocket and not very happy. Everyone has been very nice, but results would be welcome! Still no resolution in sight!

We are very pleased with our Stair Lift from Ameriglide. Measuring for the lift was made easy using the guide sheet we printed from the website. Our Sales Rep was very helpful when ordering the lift, discussing various options and answering all of our questions regarding shipping and installation.

The three packages arrived securely packed and included all of the hardware needed for installation. Its a two person job, so a friend helped, but it was easy. We would recommend watching the You Tube installation video a couple of times before attempting to install the lift and track. The video was very helpful and with a laptop nearby, we literally watched the video as we installed.

Our Mom is thrilled with the stair lift and has regained some of her mobility, no longer fearing a climb up or down the stairs. The Stair Lift is an investment, but well worth it.
