Never come here for eye glasses or contacts. The customer service is terrible. I sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes before sitting outside the exam room for another 30. I wanted to switch from monthly to daily contacts and they made me schedule 3 separate exams spanning across 3 months. The employees actively argue in front of customers about who is in charge when the manager is out of the office. The store is inefficient and an awful experience every time.
Hello, this review is about a specific employee Mrs. Veronica Anaya at the San Pedro location is San Antonio, TX. She was able to repair my damaged glasses and saved me the expense of buying a new pair of glasses. I was going out of town and really needed my glasses. She worked some optical magic and repaired them! Mrs. Anaya was very professional, knowledgeable, personable and a pleasure to do business with. She is without a doubt an asset to America's Best. One of America's Best best employees. (pun intended)
They said it would take a week for my contacts to come in, they never called. I call them, they say it would take 2 weeks instead, they never called. The third week I went there personally and they had them, and never called, even though i even called to check a couple times. I finally schedule the contact class thing, and I thought I would learn something since they called it a class but they just expected me to know how to put it on and said i would have to stick to glasses after trying for 30min…
Had to get appointment which I am fine with but when I came in for my appointment it still took 45 minutes to see the optometrist than another hour or more before I was finished so that I had the privilege of paying over $600 for a cheap pair of sunglasses and a pair of safety glasses and on top of that I called back to get a number for an eye specialist and was put on hold until call dropped several minutes later I call back then was treated rudely. Next time I will be tying a different eye glass store. Hopefully I can find something better because I'm done with America's worst!
I walked in with broken glasses and no appointment.
I walked out with glasses that were repaired, adjusted perfectly and clean.
Technician was good at her job and friendly.
All at no additional charge since I purchased glasses at a different store.
Thanks again!
Why do employees have to wear masks, and patients don't? It's very hard to understand the workers w their masks on
You make the call! I walked out of the store after waiting til 12:40pm with a 11:20am appointment with only one eye doctor. Wish I could give zero stars. Best of luck!
After spending almost 800 i took my glasses back because the transition lens wasnt getting dark and i paid for the extra dark. They activated them but still they didnt work. I called they said i had yo pay another 150. I am so disappointed. Dont go there!
I babied mine and was insanely carfully when wiping and followed all their instructions, got blinding micro scratches everywhere within the first month of getting them. It's like a permanent smudge on your lens when light hits them. Arm broke off one side completely after 6 months. Super glued it, broke again. Now finding a new place for glasses
I had a vision exam this morning at this place. It was the only mistake I made today. Completing the pre-exam and visiting with the Doctor was pleasant. When it was time to discuss the glasses I was interested in, went left quickly. She was extremely rude! I asked her to clean them and it was like I said something wrong. She said the glasses are clean. I was not the only one touching glasses. Did she forget that Covid is still alive and around. Monkey pox has become a neighbor and not a nice one. She sat in front of her computer entering information and informed me without insurance the glasses would have cost over 400.00 but with insurance my price was $148.00 dollars. I asked to see the bread down and she act as if she was disgusted by me asking. She stated something to effect that she don't have anything to do with cost. Really! I'm a customer. Why does she think she had to say that. When she did turn the computer around for me to see how much my insurance was paying and my actual cost, it was a different amount than what she shared with me. I saw $88.00 dollars. Then she said she made a mistake. I can't trust this company. I won't ever come back or recommend this American Best. This lady isn't an asset to this company.
When I got in they had me in the checkup room in under 2 minutes, but when I was waiting to pay they took FOREVER to get to me.
Time is an essential that we cannot afford to waste. Long story short: after 3 weeks of awaiting on new glasses with strong prescription, they arrive. 4 days later they break. I contacted the office on ******* in Durham where a rep Shamika told me to come in so she can take a look. After looking 5 secs she said she cannot fix and gave me a card to someone who could fix for 50.00. IRATE because glasses was purchased less then 20 days at the time I was NOT willing to pay out of pocket again for what appeared to be super cheap glasses. Then, store manager Kaosha begin to assist me and made aware of 25.00 warranty which I should have warranty for up to 1 year. I gladly declined and she assured me she would reorder at no additional charge to me. After 3 weeks I called the office and spoke with Precocious who didn't seem like the best person to assist me, wasnt clear with her responses and ended call with saying your glasses are here. 8/24, the next day arriving to the office to retrieve the glasses rep Van shows me no glasses were EVERRRRR reordered. Not only were they not reordered they are now discontinued. OMFG! Van apologized and advised me to choose another frame and she will give me a receipt. Now having to await another 2 weeks, I whole hearty see that THIS IS NOT THE BEST! As the" manager" there is no way Kaosha assured me she would reorder a new pair to not only lie on her word and set bad example her employees she work this. THIS IS A WASTE OF MY TIME!. Perhaps they came make Tummie or Van the manager, they seemed more considered with the best solution opposed to the problem. I definitely wont be returning and will be sharing this experience with my colleges and anyone else who mentioned glasses to NEVER go here.
Yes I was seen by Danielle she had tremendous customer service skills. Very professional and polite. What a great asset to your company. I was very pleased with my overall visit.
Expensive, bad quality, bad customer service, there offer on TV is not even near what you will pay at the end skams!
I ordered a new pair of glasses on the 18th because I lost my pair for driving the option Theresa was very helpful on helping me order a new pair this is the second time I went to Americas best for glasses and everyone was very helpful on me getting what I was looking for I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs personal service from a great business thank you Teresa for your help.
Upon my visit at AmericasBest in the month of July, it was the best I've received from the eyeglass specialist (Marcia, Angela, and Christina) that serviced me. These three ladies knew their jobs and was very helpful, and I've recommended AmericasBest to all my friends and co-workers. The customer service was at its highest level (10+++). I advise you to try AmericasBest the name speaks for itself. DWilson
I am writing to review the "America's Best" in Hodgkins, IL. I had some questions about glasses and sunglasses I purchased there. Abe assisted me and answered all my questions. He was patient and very helpful. He answered my questions in terms I could understand. I will definitely continue to go there for my eyecare needs.
I was told beforehand that my insurance would be accepted. Five days later at my appointment, I was told that it would not be honored. But they had a couple of other programs that I would like; both were quite a bit more expensive.
I have been going there for years, I went last week to get 2 pairs for my son, the tag on the glasses said 79.95 but I got charged 127 for the 2 pairs so they told me the tag is not if it goes by the color of the tag. Really? She overcharged me and didn't want to admit it or give me the extra money back. Never going there again they just lost 5 customer my whole family wears glasses.
All the The advertisements that I've read said two pairs of glasses for 79.95 plus Office visit That is
What I was expecting sounds good The I exam what is free with the glasses but over 300 and some dollars later For one pair and by the way is 79.95 a pair That are uncoated Single vision I should have looked more in to it but when Advertise that's all they show 2 pair for 79.95
