Amazon's decline isn't a glitch in the system; it's the system working exactly as designed. The company has chosen to replace genuine customer support with a maze of automation, outsourced scripts, and dead‑end contact loops that make speaking to a capable human feel like an act of trespassing. What used to be a service‑driven company has transformed into a fortress of bots and barriers, engineered to keep customers at arm's length. Even the executive escalation channels that once offered a last resort — the widely known jeff@am… and primary@am… addresses — now bounce back with automated rejection notices. The message is blunt: Amazon no longer wants to hear from the people who keep it in business. The company has built a structure where accountability isn't just missing; it's been intentionally designed out of the equation. For years, Amazon has coasted on the illusion of convenience, banking on the assumption that customers would trade scrutiny for speed. Fast shipping became the shiny distraction masking a slow, deliberate erosion of service quality, transparency, and basic respect. But convenience has limits, and it cannot indefinitely compensate for a company that treats customer concerns as an inconvenience. The widening gap between Amazon's marketing promises and its lived reality is becoming impossible to ignore. If the company continues to prioritize cost‑cutting over competence, automation over accessibility, and opacity over accountability, its decline won't be a matter of speculation — it will be the predictable outcome of its own choices. Amazon isn't merely falling short of its former standards. It is actively dismantling them. And consumers should ask themselves whether the convenience they're clinging to is worth the experience of being treated as disposable.

Amazon changed their delivery date on a two day shipping item after my order was placed, even though I ordered it under the guarantee policy promised. As a result, my item came late and was not able to be used for which it was purchased. A supervisor, then promised to refund my item as an act of goodwill for my inconvenience. Amazon is now refusing to honor that promise as well, stating it was invalid, although acknowledging that they can see the promise was made. Horrible customer service, despite making billions of dollars off the customers that keep them in business.

Amazon closed my account for no reason and I now lost access to my purchases, Prime benefits, all my devices and all subscriptions. Was spending hundreds if not thousands a year since 2016. Spent hours on phone with them to no avail. Something happened lately at Amazon and it's bad. Even if you open a new account, the chat does not work anymore. Hello Walmart, Costco and others... you got me back as a customer.

Placed three orders for a phone case, and every single one turned into a terrible experience. On my first order, the delivery driver called me and spoke to me in an insolent and aggressive way, then even went as far as to cancel my order. On my second attempt, the package was sent back before the pickup deadline, even though I went to collect it within the given time frame. The result: wasted time, frustration, and absolutely no consideration for the customer. I'm extremely disappointed with the service and I cannot recommend it at all.

Amazon continues to miss delivery dates. Customer Service promise to Expedite, gives new dates then you receive an Email with the same old dates. They claim it's due to product sitting at the Wrong Fulfillment Centers and / or delays. Really 2 month delays? Only Solution they offer is to cancel the Order.

Amazon to sell fake product. My belief in Amazon is shattered. I have been cheated. I will think twice/ thrice before buying anything from Amazon. I bought this product in May 2026 and since I was out of India for a couple of months, I wore it today for the first time and this is what happened. Please check the photos. Pathetic. Even my last purchase of Crocs was fake. The product tore within few usages

I've been an Amazon Prime member since 2001, almost 24 years, and in all that time, I've never received a message like this before: "Hi Philip, Unfortunately, we ran into an issue when attempting your delivery. We will try again. Add or update delivery instructions." Today, I got this message, and honestly, it feels like the last straw. I average around 300 Amazon orders a year, and I've never had a delivery issue until now. This time, I can't help but think the driver was just lazy and wanted to go home early, maybe distracted by this stupid $#*!ing Halloween or just over it. It's incredibly frustrating to be a loyal customer for so long, only to be let down by poor service. Amazon, you need to do better. Customers deserve reliable, professional delivery, not excuses and missed deliveries.

Purchased a Lenovo laptop for $2,427.70. Product page showed "Visit the Lenovo Store" with zero indication of a third-party seller. Laptop arrived from Montana Joe/Techdeals Brooklyn NY — pre-owned, fraudulently listed as new. Verified via Lenovo warranty activated 31 days before my purchase. Amazon had no fraud escalation process. Multiple buyers report identical fraud from this seller. Had to file FTC and IC3 reports to get traction.

I purchased and redeemed an Amazon gift card in 2019, and the funds were successfully added to my account. Shortly after, Amazon locked my account. When I finally regained access in 2025, I discovered that my entire gift card balance had been removed without notice or explanation. I contacted Amazon support more than 10 times via chat and email, but I only received copy-paste replies. Their final statement says they "cannot verify the authenticity," yet the card was already redeemed and accepted by Amazon's system in 2019. I even escalated through the BBB (Complaint ID: *******) and provided screenshots from my Gift Card Activity and the official account reinstatement email from Amazon. Still, no one at Amazon has provided any proof for why the balance was removed. This is extremely unfair to customers. All I'm asking for is a clear resolution or restoration of my balance.

They locked me out of my account because I changed the details on a high value order. This is fair enough and I'm happy they are looking after my security. However I would like to get back into the account, and they are finding it difficult to make this happen. The automated AI customer support, is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. I just sends you back the the first page you start on over and over again. I tried calling, but once again it was a waste of time, the operator said they would clear the block on the account and i could use it. Here I am still unable to log on ten days later, having received endless automated emails telling me how wonderful their service is and how much they care. They just need a human with half a brain to look at it. Its an easy fix made impossible by a lack of human resources, and a lack of care. Amazon are now so big they wont notice if my account doesn't work, and they wont care.

I am beyond disappointed with Amazon. I ordered a brand-new ASUS ROG Tessen to give as a gift, but what arrived was a used, dirty, and oily unit. The box had no factory seals, the manuals inside were crumpled and shoved in haphazardly, and the silicone parts were covered in dust. Most disgusting of all, the controller itself had oily fingerprints and residue all over it. This was clearly a returned item that Amazon's quality control completely ignored and resold as "New." To make matters worse, I am currently in another country. Returning this would cost me nearly half the price of the item in international shipping fees—money I shouldn't have to spend because of their mistake. When I contacted support for a partial refund to compensate for this "used" state, they flat-out refused. I have been a loyal customer and have even bought this exact model before without issues, but this experience has been a total scam. If Amazon thinks it's okay to charge full price for someone else's used "trash" and then refuse to help, they have lost me as a customer forever. Stay away—Amazon is no longer reliable for high-end electronics.

JJust like a butcher who puts his thumb on the scale or a used car dealer that rolls back the odometer, Amazon is engaging in similar unscrupulous bait-and-switch activities. Advertising products as new, only to ship inventory that is already two years old, is a violation of the implied warranty of merchantability under NY UCC § 2-314 and constitutes deceptive trade practices. I received two separate deliveries of 24 AAA PowerMax batteries, and both packages arrived two years past their manufacture date. Alkaline batteries that are two years old have only 80% of their 10-year guaranteed shelf life remaining and are considerably less powerful than fresh ones as they age. Always check manufacture dates. If you fall victim to this scam, exercise your rights by posting similar reviews, disputing charges with your bank, and reporting these illegal acts to your state's Attorney General's Consumer Frauds Bureau. As a journalist with over 50 years of experience and an Amazon Prime member for over a decade, it is my duty to report that I no longer trust Amazon. They encourage and conspire with sleazy vendors who foist old merchandise as new, prioritizing those ill-gotten revenues over their responsibility to their customers.

Today, I received an email stating that in order for me to continue using Kindle Direct Publishing services, I would have to verify my ID. I received this email today and my account was also locked today. I had received absolutely NO prior indication or warning of this occurring. Furthermore, I feel this is a violation of my rights and privacy. How do I know they won't keep and/or sell/exploit my id? What about the possibility of my info being hacked, leaked, or stolen? I don't trust the idea of giving out my id. It all seems corrupt. Furthermore, the fact that they could not have the decency to warn me prior to this is rather unprofessional and scummy. Update: Yesterday, I did give them my ID, however, they are now asking for a selfie/biometric data, which I am highly against. This is where I draw the line, and I feel that this goes against my rights, views, and beliefs. Nowhere in the previous email did it state that I also needed to include a selfie. I don't feel comfortable doing that. I didn't feel comfortable giving a copy of my driver's license. I feel that requiring biometric data is going too far, and it's where I draw the line. Furthermore, the fact that they could not bother to send any kind of prior warning shows a lack of transparency and autonomy. I also find this to be highly unprofessional. It also seems a bit deceitful on their part.

Amazon has me so upset I can barely write this. After three days of trying to put together an order to get free shipping, it finally looked ok, then I went to the checkout and they are demanding $13 to ship my coffee! The coffee didn't qualify for free shipping. CRAZY! I had to get the order up to $59 to get free shipping and it STILL didn't work! Amazon is just one big SCAM. And they try to trick you into joining Prime at the checkout. So SICK of their scammy dishonest BS. I'm going to just go to the store from now on. I can't deal with this stupid crap anymore.

Amazon has really dropped into the toilet. It used to be a great place to shop. Now, even though I"m paying the Amazon Prime membership dues, (which of course have gone up in cost), in order to insure 1 day and 2 day deliveries, it's now taking a WEEk to receive orders. Besides that, where they used to include movies with Prime, they're now loaded with ads as well as less and less movies are actually free. I think it's time to rethink whether or not I want to continue paying Amazon for my membership. The most recent delay, (among many) was supposed to arrive on Nov. 26th. It now has a delivery date of Dec. 9th. This is the 3rd delayed delivery n=in a 2 week period.

After you click to try to use the chat option on amazon or in the app you get the error "Sorry looks like we hit a snag, chat is not available right now but we have other option for you"(first screenshot) and when you click on it it sends you to a page to enter your phone number to talk to someone on the phone. When I open the source page with all the page's code of the chat window error I can see that it is without a shadow of a doubt amazon responsible for blocking people from the chat. Second screenshot is the code line confirming this fact. The last time I was able to use the chat I had asked for a refund for the fake counterfit item (amazon sold and shipped) they sent to me. I was unnecessarily transferred to a "member of the leadership team" named Meghna. We all need to put our blocked chat encounters up here and trust pilot with the name of the amazon employee responsible so we can shed light on and make it known the shady things amazon employees do to their customers out of retaliation.

Amazon refuses to return my money for a defective DVD/VCR that I returned over a month ago. They received my return on August 18, but refuse to process my refund claiming possible fraud. They owe me $272.86. I am 75; get $808/mo SS. I can't afford to lose almost $300 for a defective product that has been returned. Ridiculous. They can refund my money to my Synchrony bank account linked to my Amazon account. OR my credit card on file with my account. How could that be fraud? They claim I must provide ID. I didn't have to provide ID when they took my money... within minutes. They should be able to refund money to the source within a week. They have a program where you hold your ID up to your computer and it takes a picture. I have done this over a dozen times at this point. I have a Colorado Driver License. It is a valid ID. Their process requires you to select the country of your ID and the type. I selected United States and Driver License. The program tells me to check the country because I have selected the wrong country. After several attempts, my submission has been accepted, then they say I must wait 3 days and contact customer service (a nightmare in itself) to get my refund. I am, now, waiting 3 days for the 3rd time – while Amazon has MY MONEY. Amazon has millions of customers. Imagine that 100,000 are waiting for a refund, averaging $200. That's 20 Million dollars that they are keeping, earning interest or whatever, while us customers are put through the ringer to try and get our money back. Their software/ refund process is the problem – NOT MY ID, yet they continue to give me the runaround while keeping MY MONEY. This is certainly an issue that affects Coloradans as well as all Americans and others who find themselves held hostage by Amazon return "policies".

I clicked on an amazon.com Call Me link I have to have them give me a call me to report a problem with their website not allowing me to select 600 to 699 watt computer power supplies. I received a call and after telling the woman at least three times what the problem was, she still could not seem to understand the issue or what the issue was it seemed. I disconnected the phone call after being on the phone for 14 minutes.

Buyer beware! I ordered these jewelry organizers on August 7th and they were supposed to be delivered by August 9th however the message is still saying that the shipping has been delayed. I tried to cancel the item but whomever the scam artist in China are that took my money and not send my package keeps denying my cancelation. I've contacted Amazon twice and all I receive on their end is gaslighting verbiage "like they will intercede on my behalf with the seller and keep me posted about shipping (lies). They can't do anything because it out of their area of expertise. One harpy had the nerves to pretend like the phone reception was bad because I asked her would I be receiving my money back if I don't get my item. At this point I am going to take the next formal step towards Amazon and it's now shady business due to them dealing with crappy outsourced businesses.

Despite cancelling my subscription, Amazon is still charging me a monthly fee for 4 months now. I have found it difficult to: 1. Find the Amazon screen and prompts to speak with a person, not AI assistance 2: Find access to a customer care email (still can't find one) 3: Follow up on my reported complaint as I have received no communication despite Amazon promising it would be resolved (twice now) 4: Proide a bad review on Amazon within their own site, you can only rate products purchased or do an internal complaint.

Scamazon deserves zero stars. I would give zero stars, but unfortunately that is not an option. Starting all the way back to the beginning of May, end of April, Amazon has always either delivered the wrong item or just not delivered an item at all. They always have an excuse, always waste time, and they always make me fight to get my money returned for an item they did not deliver, or delivered a wrong item. Even though I am doing everything I can to not do any business with them, they have created a market where there are just certain things that can only be purchased on the Amazon.com website. This month, Amazon made a promise to deliver overnight if only I were to sign up and pay for Prime. I did so, then had to fight for an entire week to get them to finally attempt to replace said items, because they failed to deliver the entire order. They still have not refunded the amount paid for Prime to this day, even after promising multiple times. Then they sent emails claiming they delivered, but no photo proof. I had to spend another week fighting to get my money returned. I had to file with my bank, then they refunded. But they did not do anything until I filed with my bank. Then I needed computer tools to work on some network server drives. So I did an online search, and unsurprisingly the only place to get those tools in the U.S. are Scamazon. So on the 15th I placed an order. Once again, Scamazon claimed to give a discount on items if only I order 2. I do so. The items were supposed to be delivered on Monday. A USB to SAS converter and a short USB extension cable. Scamazon chose to change the delivery date on the cable to Sunday, the 17th without my consent. Sunday, the 17th comes and goes with no delivery. Scamazon then claims that the cable would arrive on Monday, due to being delayed. Monday, the 18th was the original delivery date. Monday comes and goes, but no cable delivered. The converter was delivered, but not the cable. I contact Scamazon, then cancel the item due to them not having any answers. Item was cancelled on the evening of the 18th. I am told 3 to 5 days for the refund. Money they took immediately at the time of order. Then they claim I will have to wait for the item to be delivered back to the seller before any refund. Then I am told they are doing an investigation in to why they have not been able to deliver my orders, please wait and then they will discuss refund. Now today, after I filed with my bank again, Scamazon sent me an email claiming they would refund... less than what I paid for it. Scamazon will do all they can to take and keep your money, and they do not even care if they deliver what you paid for. Scamazon reps have even had the nerve to tell me things like "for such a small amount of money, I would just dismiss it and move on". Scamazon just wants to scam you out of your money, and they have and show no interest in actually fulfilling their side of any business transactions. I will be doing everything in my power to never do business with Scamazon again, which unfortunately means that for the foreseeable future, there are many things I will have to do without as I am clearly being treated like I am less than equal.

My problem with Amazon.com started recently, shortly after the FTC charged Amazon.com with criminal penalties resulting in the historic $1 billion consumer settlement fund for illegally enrolling consumers in their Amazon Prime service. I checked my payment history and my account qualified but because I did not receive the first round of payments between the October - December I had to wait till January 2026 when the second form opened. So I filled out and submitted FTC consumer claim form and submitted it to Amazon through the Amazon application and in less than 3 weeks later, I begin receiving emails from Amazon Account Services informing me that my account has been restricted to "digital purchases only" and there were four emails in total that were supposed to inform me about how and why my account has been restricted. The first email stated "We recently closed an account that belongs to you for violating our Returns and Refunds" policy and that's why we restricted your account. So I appealed the decision referencing my account has never been associated with any restricted account nor have I ever had any past accounts that were opened and were closed nor received any past violations. Then I received the second email changing the reason they initially stated they restricted my Amazon consumer account "Your account violated our Terms of Use" So I appealed decision asking why did they change it from closing an account I had in the past to "Terms of Use and asking which terms of use did I violate but they responded with we reserve the right not to disclose any information to you regarding our decision nor any proof. The Amazon Account Services team are acting in a malicious and corrupted manner becoming of federal civil violations and the people working in that department should be ashamed of the way they are earning money from this job, to feed their children and God isn't happy with that kind of money, that money has Satans' name written on it!

Do not buy anything from JB Tools thru Amazon. I bought this item in Nov 2023 as a Christmas present and it was used for home use and 1 battery would not hold charge after 6 Months. I waited too long to report it and JB Tool said not their problem and DeWalt won't back it up because JB Tool is not an authorized dealer. Now Amazon said we waited to long for their 90 day return. Do your homework when buying thru Amazon and know who the sellers are. Not all are authorized sellers. SHAME ON AMAZON

I had a terrible experience with the FBA seller Móviles y smartphones libres Store on Amazon. The seller violated EU warranty laws by keeping my defective tablet for over a month and demanding an illegal payment for warranty repairs. Despite the item being fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), Amazon's customer service refused to help. After I filed a complaint, Amazon blocked my account from posting reviews. This is unacceptable behavior from a company that claims to protect its customers. My order number was **************534, and I have filed a formal complaint with EU consumer protection authorities.

I've been buying from amzn for over 20 years. I've bought expensive tv's and other electronics many times and never did a "post Super Bowl" type return. But I'm going to start buying a lot more from WMT and Home Depot because amzn automatically banned me from ordering because I've been having huge problems with deliveries at my second home in Austin. I bitterly complained to amzn when a driver just left a $208 order on the sidewalk outside my complex's locked gate, for porch pirates to steal. After I kept complaining about lousy deliveries and I sought a price adjustment on a less than desirable purchased used item, amzn banned me. I used Chatgpt to develop a strategy to "lie low" for three weeks, saying nothing. Then amzn allowed me to order again. But learning that amzn blames the customer, no matter what, and refuses to take responsibility for their own failings really turned me against them. Now, I can't complain about ANYTHING, even when I'm 100% in the right, because the amzn algorithms score points against me. So I recommend that long term amzn users begin to diversify to other sellers because the slight"bad luck" streak, even for a 20 year plus, good customer, means nothing to the amzn algorithm. Plus, I've learned from Gemini and Chat both, that amzn initiated newer, brutal standards to ban 10% or more of its customer base, saying they're crooks, when they're not. Probably worth considering that Prime may not be a good deal because amzn doesn't evaluate you based overwhelmingly on their entire 5-20 year experience with you. The big focus recently implemented is: "is this customer making money for us in last 30 days, is he sapping up too much customer service time with his complaints, justified or not, etc.? Since anyone can have a usual sequence of events like I had and get suddenly banned, Walmart, Home Depot and other sources make more sense that paying a high Prime fee. Like Gemini and ChatGPT both told me, most people will blow off comments like mine, UNTIL the day comes when the amzn AI program lowers the boom on them. So consider my review as sort of an initial warning to be very careful in dealing with amzn. It is not the amzn of 10-20 years ago, with the customer is always right attitude. Now it's " prove to us every 30 day period you're not any trouble for us." #AmazonToWalmart #PrimeExit #20YearCustomer

Amazon is still convenient for fast purchases, has a huge catalog, quick checkout, and delivery options that help when you need items urgently.

May 14, 2026

I have been with Amazon.com for over 10 years and have never had a negative experience. There are a lot of other online stores that can't make that claim. There have only been two times that I have had to contact customer service - and BOTH times my situation was handled quickly and fairly. After my horrid experience with bidcactus.com - Amazon seems like a dream: 0)

What I love about this site is that the books that I have bought have been at a great price. Also the book sellers are REQUIRED to accept returns and issue REFUNDS. Amazon realizes that something bought off the internet can be vastly different in person and gladly accepts returns.

I have had Amazon for at least several months but was a bit disappointed this time. I ordered an item worth £45 and a fashion book worth £7. I was offered a one-off free next day delivery for the book as a trial of some promotion and ended up paying about £2 more for the book and £11 for the 45 item. Just becarefull always even for a good trusted site.

After failing to receive confirmation for my order I called PrimoCameras and was put on hold for what seemed an eternity. When I was finally connected to Customer Service they confirmed nothing more specific than an order to my zip code had been shipped on Friday (I ordered the camera the previous Monday and my credit card was billed Tuesday.) I was then asked whether I wanted the $50+ battery or the $80+ battery. I was a bit confused by this question having ordered a camera, not a battery. (The camera comes with the required 4 AA batteries. A set of 2500 mAh LiMH batteries with charger is ~$30 at Home Depot.) The question was not if I wanted to order this or that battery, but which battery. In response to my stupidity the guy at PrimoCameras yelled so loud that his telephone rattled, "Let me make it very clear. The battery that comes with that camera will only last about 20 minutes.", then hung up. (Rudeness must be a virtue in New Jersey.)
A short time later I called PrimoCamera and waited and waited on hold again before requesting a tracking number for the shipment. When I attempted to use the number I was given at USPS the response was no such number. I called PrimoCamera a third time to verify the tracking number and was told that this number was only for their use if the shipment was lost and was of no use to me. (I must be really stupid.)
It had now been over two weeks since I'd ordered the camera. Customer service said that my camera should have arrived by now asked whether I wanted to reorder or a refund. I asked for a refund. I then asked what might have happened to my camera. The response was that it was lost in the mail. The guy then said something to the effect that they oversold. Excuse me, which is it? A package doesn't get lost in the mail because they oversold. Either it got lost in the mail or PrimoCamera was out of stock and fed me a line complete with phony tracking number.
I received e-mail from PrimoCamera on June 1 indicating my order had been cancelled. On June 3 I called Customer Service again after seeing that the $339 I paid for the camera had not been returned to my credit card and was told I would be reimbursed by the 4th. June 4th passed and the money had still not been credited to my account. Subsequent calls to customer service resulted in disconnect after waiting on hold. When I finally reached them I was told that they did not refund money to credit cards and I would have to file a dispute with my credit card company. It took several more months for my credit card company to complete the dispute process and permanently credit the money back to my account.
I hope you're laughing by now, but I'm not making this up. I would not recommend buying from these clowns.

Amazon.com is one of the best sites I have ever dealt with. I joined the amazon prime membership that gives you among other things free 2 day shipping and over night shipping for about 3 dollars more. Today I found their student program that allows you to signup via your school email and gives you a free year of amazon prime, while I was looking for a link or help to ask if I could combine my two accounts or cancel my old prime accout, I notced an email that was from amazon stateing they had already done this and ontop of that they refunded me for the remainder of the year on my original prime account wich is 79 a year well worth it if you buy a lot for the shipping benifits alone. The refund for fo 76 dollars. Combined with their great products and stuff like this amazon is one of the greates sites on the web today. I just want you to know that i am not getting any compinsation for this review.

Amazon is a website for the masses
August 18, 2010

Amazon is a website for the masses. It allows for people to buy just about anything and everything. I have used the site to purchase numerous items and have yet to be disappointed. The website itself is simple enough for the most unintelligent person to navigate it. While offering a broad range of offerings to the table. Amazon in my eyes outshines any other site that rivals it because of it's ability to help people sell their stuff in stores within amazon. The checkout process is quick and painless and the shipping process is above average for a website of it's size with super saver shipping to allow for the customer to save on shipping. The one thing I like the most is the ability to buy used over new stuff to save money and if the item is not what you wanted you can return it with out hassle. I give Amazon 4 stars for being one of the leading websites for the shopper in all of us.

Amazon.com can be a great place to shop for a wide variety of products. Their inventory is rooted from a vast number of suppliers and probably more often than not you're actually dealing with them more-so with amazon being a middle-man.

At least, it seems that way to me.

And so, Amazon.com can be a great place to buy things -- even toys. However, the prices for such items can be a bit on the high-end depending on the product. Prices can vary from "new" or even "used".

Where toys are concerned, the prices can be ludicrous depending on when it was issued. Toys that were issued yester-year may be on the limited-side and will have their prices inflated.

Sometimes you can surf through the various vendors that a particular product is catered from, sifting through their prices. Something to be mindful of is that one vendor may appear to be cheaper, but their shipping is higher.

Like ebay, you want to check on the feedback of the seller. Believe of not, even they can disappoint at times. It's rare, but I've had it happen. Sometimes similar looking products can be mixed up and that whole bag. It's not something to be worried about, but aware of what you're prodding at.

So, if you're wishing to acquire that particular item or get a price feel for something, amazon.com can be a good place to scope out along with your other web surfing 'ventures.

I know unlocked phones are somewhat of a debatable subject but lets just say I really needed one for work and for a few projects. I tried 2 sites before I found this one and both turned out to be garbage I could not get to work. Got an unlocked blackberry from this store and it works like a charm. I think if you needed just a regular phone you could just buy from a local store but this place sells the phones unlocked as they were meant to be.

I have probably order over 50 times from amazon in the last 10 years and have never had any problems with any orders. Never been shipped any wrong items (once was shipped the same item twice for a single order which customer service told me not to worry about it) and orders always arrive in a timely fashion. Don't be scared about the delivery time frame for items with their super saver free shipping option -- it usually arrives before they say. Only opt for the overnight / 2nd day shipping options if you absolutely need to have the item in hand by a certain date.

Be aware that if you buy items from amazon stores / sellers, those items won't qualify for free shipping, although the shipping is usually quite reasonable. With amazon sellers, the items can come a little slower, so if possible I usually opt to get items from amazon themselves.

I have shopped at Amazon since I can remember online shopping at all. I've always had good experiences, the customer service is good, though difficult to speak with on the phone (they try to avoid phone customer service).
Shipping is often free, though there are sellers on there that charge extra for shipping... it depends on the product.
Recently I noticed that return shipping is being charged, if you just "didn't like it"... if it is in any way their mistake, they pay for return shipping.
Not bad!

Always spot-on
July 17, 2010

Always spot-on. They have sooo much to offer, and much with free shipping. Extremely fast shipping as items come from a warehouse close to you. No sales tax in CA, either. :)
