I am hiking the Pacific Crest Trail in March. I am using the Altra Lone Peak 3.5 Limited Edition which is amazing! Great fit, love the toe box, and the zero drop feature with this shoe. Also am hiking with the Mens Lone Peak Mid Mesh 3.5 same shoe with a mid mesh support. Great company and amazing shoes. I will recommend to anyone who is looking for a good hiking or running shoe. I love your shoes and I understand how to increase shoe size for running
But Alta shoes sizing seems to be all over the place making it very difficult to determine what size to order
Very frustrating
I have ordered 7 pairs of shoes from your company so far and am still having trouble when determining what size to order
This recent order of the casual shoe I ordered in an 8 because your shoes are always at least one full size too small compared to shoe sizes from anywhere else I have ever tried in the USA
I usually wear a 7 so I ordered an 8 from you hoping this would be accurate for a casual shoe NOT a running shoe where I want a size larger than my foot. Sometimes a 9 in Alta shoes sometimes 8 sometimes 8.5?
I read the reviews carefully to try to make a better guess what size to order but often feel it is no more than a guess which is ridiculous
Anyway, the eight is way too small I cant even get the shoe on comfortable feels like I would need two full sizes more than my usual 7 just to fit!
But I read the reviews and most women who did that found the shoes too large and slipping of their feet
I will Return the shoes
In the past I have order two pair in two different sizes and kept both trying to make them work
Or giving one away
I cant keep doing this
But I love your shoes as they have cured many issues for me with pain when running etc
Including plantar fasciitis which is now gone! For two years just from only wearing Alta running shoes!
Im sure you have noticed many reviews of Complaints about sizing
Please correct the issue

Shoes shaped like your natural foot! What a concept. Zero drop heel, and great cushion, with a natural foot shape toe box... best shoes ever... 3rd pair now. Can't hardly wear anything else.
Try a pair and you wont go back to your big box selection of running shoes again.The selection of various styles to choose from has grown quite a bit in the past few years also.
About 5 years ago I ordered and received a pair of Altra "Adam" shoes. They fit and were so comfortable that I ordered a second pair after I wore the first pair in the ocean. I figured i would never get the smell out so I used that first pair and used the second pair as "driving" shoes. Then I washed the originals. Now, I am still wearing both pair but I need to get new replacements. Any chance that model will be offered again?
I'm impressed with forefoot design of shoe. It does not prevent the natural spreading of the foot with gait. The design does not squeeze the toes together like many other shoes. I'm looking forward to wearing this shoe.
According to the carrier the shoes were damaged. Now Im waiting for the next shipment. Nothing special at all from Altra to solve the issue that wasnt my fault.
I bought these shoes for my son. He is flat footed and wears orthotics. The mid part of the shoe is too narrow to accommodate an orthotic device.
Just ordered, excited to get them. Ordered them for my husband. Large size shoe- 15 and Altra carried his size. So thrilled. Cabt Wait to have him try them on when they get here.
Love all the shoes. I run in timps, Lonepeak 3.5 and MT Kings. Love them all! All comfortable and perform top notch. Love the zero drop and heel support! Traction is superior to anything on the market.
Cant say enough about you guys I have had about 8 pair now and this will be my first pair that I logged in and bought a pair.

I had problems finding the size of shoe that fit me, but the Altra staff made it easy to exchange shoes until I found the right size. They were always courteous and friendly!
Best platform for trail, road, and training. I love the zero drop and wide toe box. I've enjoyed running so much more since I got my first pair of Altras. Side note: the King MT is amazing for OCR.
My order required a call to customer service, but rep was extremely helpful and was able to resolve my problem and answer all questions.
I've got full dancers' 'winged-arched-feet.'
Only one company that helps... New Balance. Just ok of a shoe.
AltraRunning... what can I say... Top ~of~the~Line shoe! Beyond comfort~! No rolling/pronation or inconsistancies Even with the above company & an orthotic!
Just restarted lap-swimming & on my feet tons in the entertainment & business world plus security of a school... tons of 'on-my-feet.' These are the BOSS!

I have been running in Altras since 2011. I have tried a few other shoes during this time. I have always returned to Altra due to the wide, comfortable fit.
So excited to receive my new shoes. I wanted to try something different for my next half marathon. A good friend suggested I try Altra. Hoping for great results!
I was hoping to finally find a pair of women's sneakers to find out they run small. This was my first pair and I was really excited. When they came, I was so upset that they were too small. I bought the biggest size that they sell in women's so I would have to get a men's. Most likely will try a men's but really like the women colors.
