I booked 6 nights in Portugal in February 2020 for July 2020. I paid this holiday in 3 instalments on my credit card. Towards the end of June 2020 when my flights were cancelled by Easyjet I told Alpharooms several times I needed to cancel. Every message I sent was misunderstood or the response did not match the e mail I sent. I even considered cancelling my credit card so they could not take the final payment. 2 days before I was due to arrive in the resort they called me to ask if I was coming on holiday... NO my flight was cancelled and FCO advice was not to travel... still waiting on them giving me a refund. Impossible to call as they never reply. So at the moment I have lost £932 for 6 nights accommodation I could not take up through no fault of my own

I have tried every possible way to contact these people as I have to change my booking I have been trying for 3 weeks the seem to have disabled their chat facility as well as their telephone lines and their contact section on the website
Will never use them again after their appalling service

Disgraceful

Had two nights booked in benidorm due to covid got cancelled, i received a phone call telling me i had a credit note for the amount paid i have tried several times to use this credit note I've spoke to people at alpharooms who informed me they would ring me back all to no avail disgraceful shocking company DO NOT USE

After a cancelled holiday in March, we asked this company for a cash refund, my brother was told they would keep back 10%, i was eventually after numerous attempts told my refund would be in my account by July, July? Nothing, but they did phone me July 2nd for references of other bookings on my card. After years of booking 2-3 holidays a year with them! They can now go fly a kite, lying gits.

Do not use...

We are due to travel this week and as soon as our flights were cancelled 10 days ago we have been trying to contact them. I have emailed numerous times with no reply. I have done online reviews that are obviously not great and you get a quick response promising contact but nothing still. This morning I eventually managed to get on the live chat function, but guess what theres nothing live about it. Nearly 2 hours later and all I have been told is they are looking at my booking... it's a 3 night hotel only, nothing complex about it... we will now be contacting our credit card company to try and get our money back. No telephone line to contact them unless you want to book a holiday... Don't do it, take your business to somewhere that has customer service

Avoid this underhanded company take your money elsewhere they do not deserve the business from your hard earnt cash totally will do anything to avoid giving genuine refunds just drag you along with automated emails

I have been trying every Avenue to contact Alpharooms as they have 1200 euro of my money for a holiday I cant go on... I asked them via email to please not take the final payment of 2000 from my account as I have to cancel... due to covid restrictions... They still tried to take it! After all my emails! They have never replied to my emails but they did send me an email within 24 hrs of trying to get my 2000 euro to say that I need to pay my final balance! (Luckily I cancelled my card!) What is wrong with them? They are taking peoples money and then no one is responding, or offering any refunds to people. Thieves and cowboys!

Refusing to refund

I booked a package holiday with Alpharooms which was cancelled due to coronavirus. I have been offered vouchers but I want a cash refund which under the terms of package travel regulations 2018 I am entitled to a cash refund within 14 days. Alpharooms flatly refuse to pay up even though they have already been refunded by Jet2.

Wish i could give no stars.

Holiday cancelled due to Covid which i understand. No refund issued.

I actually cancelled my holiday before my final payment was due and they still took my money. They tried and got nothing and two weeks later they took again.

Generic response only and they have done the same to many yet other companies been great.

Used alpha many times and would have used again but never again

Had a holiday booked for the middle of May, obviously couldn't go due to covid 19, have e-mailed them several times with pathetic replies eventually coming through, won't give a refund and won't even give a voucher now, going to have to take it further, when we pay early they obviously use our money to pay there suppliers for other customers hence no cash flow and running there business with our money, worrying ethic that.

Carlos, Carlos handled my booking and flight transfer, called me when I was busy with college as stated in all my emails. Took extremely long time as well as calling me 4 times in one night. This request was made two weeks ago, after 7 calls and various angry emails my request was finally completed. Really unprofessional customer service work.

I received an email saying my hotel was cancelled 18 DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE and I could have a credit note valid for a year and if any money left over I could have the rest refunded.
I asked one question on live chat, was waiting over a half hour for reply and when answered it was what was in email sent, I queried again and got a longer version of same answer.
I'M NOW AN HOUR ON THE COMPUTER LIVE CHAT... AND TOLD TO EMAIL CUSTOMER RELATIONS... I'LL NEVER BOOK WITH THEM AGAIN. I STILL DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET A REFUND NOW AS I WONT BE TRAVELLING FOR A LONG TIME.

I STUPIDLY booked a hotel in Spain for my son and his partner to travel on the 3rd of May 2020, even though his flights have been cancelled and a refund offered (thanks Ryanair) this despicable company will not give a refund on the hotel booking even though the hotel is CLOSED DOWN due to Coronavirus, firstly they wanted to charge me £562 if I cancelled it from a £900 booking, now that there are no flights and all the hotels are closed they are saying that they will have to see what their supplier says and we may not get our money back or have to have a credit note, even though the law is clear that they have to offer to rebook or give you a full refund. I had a booking for myself and my Wife on the 7th of April with Jet2 and they gave us a full refund no problems, thanks Jet2. NEVER EVER will I use this despicable company Alpharooms again and I urge anyone who reeds this review and the many other that are on this site,,,,, DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING WITH THIS HORID COMPANY.
