I buy books frequently from different websites. This is the only place where I pay for shipping. All the others I buy books from offer free shipping.
One book I ordered was significantly slower to arrive than the other, but they both arrived in great condition within an acceptable timeframe. So I was satisfied.
It was very confusing regarding the free shipping because when I made changes the changes DID NOT SHOW UP! THEN WHEN I SAW WHERE I COULD CHOOSE THE SECOND CART TO SAVE MONEY, EVERY TIME I SELECTED IT AND STARTED CHECKING OUT IT DID NOT REFLECT THE SAVINGS! I kept doing it over and over and over again! Then I finally went all the way to the end where I had to give credit card info before I could tell if the savings were actually applied. IT WAS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!

It was hard to find where to put the coupon code. I think it qualified for cherry blossom tree, at least the cherry part. I don't know why I have to put 50 characters in. The coupon code needs to be earlier in this process rather than after the words submit order.
Everything about the experience with Alibris was great, except a small issue with the cover of the book. Something had melted / glued the cover of the book to the package, and it stretched the laminant on the cover, leaving a blemish. It's a paper-cover book, so it was going to get beat up eventually, but still a bit of a bummer.

Disappointing experience with "coupon code" emails. They never deliver what they appear to, because of course shipping is a major part of many purchases. I get it, I came here because of one and ended up purchasing despite this. And it leaves a slight off taste each time.
