Alibris is my go-to way to buy used books! The prices are great, quality is honestly appraised, and if you pay attention to which buyers you purchase from the shipping costs can be lowered.
One request to the website: provide a feature that allows customers to create a wishlist of books, then finds ways to get those books using as few different sellers as possible to minimize shipping fees.
It would be nice to more easily be able to buy multiple books from the same seller without so much searching. Maybe a tool to inspect the shopping cart and search for ways to buy more books from fewer sellers to save on shipping and handling costs?
