I ordered 3 books from different vendors in the last couple weeks. Alibris is now asking for a review but did not note the book title. It's hard for me to rate exactly how my experience was without knowing what the order was.

'Bait and switch' with the discount codes and shipping costs should be included in most purchases. I've paid 50% more for a book that I initially thought that I would pay. Don't deceive in order to sell. We won't be back

Successful! I am very pleased with my experience with Alibris. I have ordered several books over the last few years and have never had a problem. Great resource!

Books arrived on time and at a price I found reasonable. One of the books was listed as a hardback and arrived as a paperback but I suspect this is a fault of the originating seller.

I was very happy with the price I paid and the delivery, since it was delivered when I was told it would be. That being said, I don't think that the "Very good" product rating was very accurate. There was more wear on the cover than I expected there to be. I think a "Good' would have been more appropriate.

Ordering a replacement copy (of one that was cancelled because it was out of stock) was made easy with a link of similar quality. Always a bit more expensive but the time saved makes it totally worth it.

Items always as described (e.g. Dvd's listed as very good ARE very good). Items are often delivered before expected. Great prices. I'm also able to find out of print books.

First time shopper here... I had a question that needed to be answered before submitting my order and I received a reply in less than 24hrs to the message I sent to customer service and on a Sunday. I don't even answer emails in my store that fast. Huge kudos for that. Even if it's automated, that's still amazing in 2026.

I began purchasing from Alibris when I began looking for other options than Amazon for obtaining books that I need. I can often find particularly a used copy of a book in very good condition for a very favorable price. The savings is a major reason I continue to return to Alibris to purchase reading materials.

It was vary nice and in a pretty good condition for the product I would recommend this place again for any one looking for old books

I put together a cart of 8 carefully selected books for a research paper I'm writing. When I reset my password, my cart emptied and there was no way to get back to that cart. I had to go back and reselect each of the books again, which set me back, time-wise, by quite a bit.

I was disappointed that one if my books was canceled right after placing my order. If there's something you want don't hesitate because someone else will snatch it up.

Frustrated with website blocking me from ordering. I have to make multiple attempts just to order one book. I have ordered from Albris lots of time before with no difficulties.,

I like that you can choose the state of the book you want, i. E. fair, good, etc. I have not received anything other than what I wanted.

When I first saw the alibris name I was impressed that they used the latin word for book. I used to have stickers for the inside of my books that said ExLibris____(from the library of) where I wrote my name under a unicorn and rainbow motif. Then I thought about the prefix A sometimes meaning not, and still consider it an odd name for a book-selling website, but I was easily won over by the ease of use, selection, and great prices!

The order seem to take quite a long time to arrive, but it was over the Christmas season so I guess there's a reason for that. The book I ordered was an excellent condition and I'm very pleased with the order..

The selection is as extensive as amazon, the prices as good or slightly better, and the postage definitely better. Delivery is not as fast, but if you're not in a crazy hurry for the book, that's fine. If you want to know more about the book's contents, look it up on amazon then if you still want it shift to alibris for purchase.
