I noticed upon checkout that I was charged a shipping fee for each item I ordered. Its very costly for me.
Quick and easy earned five start! But confusing shipping therms almost made me NOT to complete my order, this a lost star. The confusion was about "free shipping," which was supposed to show after I add $40 worth of books. Once I added $40+ worth of books the shipping hasn't changed to free until the final step (after I logged into PayPal). There's definitely disconnect here...
Sometimes the shipping is so slow when the book arrives I've forgotten I even ordered it, and sometimes the book arrives in a timely manner. But the price is right and a good book is a joy whenever it arrives.
Great selection of books, but your web services leave much to be desired. I was not able to check out after putting a book in my cart, so I had to contact your help people, who suggested resetting my browser due to some unspecified "glitches". That worked. But about a year ago I had another problem, where whatever your website software was doing, it was not able to send anything to my comcast email address--which I've used for 18 years. This was never resolved, forcing me to create a gmail account. Your web people were distinctly unhelpful.

The amount of flipping back and forth/changing pages/opening new tabs necessary to place a large order is extremely annoying. The website is badly designed. My problem is *not*, repeat, NOT with Alibris' service in terms of books but in terms of the horrible website user experience. Thank you.
