I started this order July 23 from another shipper under Alibris. Books never arrived. E-mailed the shipper around August12 and this was his response:
Wonderful, I double checked your order, and that is the address that we used in shipping, thank you for confirming!
We are finding that the USPS is still taking a bit longer than expected to deliver items shipped through Business Manifest. These books have been arriving, just later than expected. Do you mind waiting just a little longer?

I don't know who/what Business Manifest is, but I think about a month is about enough time for books to be shipped. They are not coming today, because I get an e-mail from USPS everyday showing what is going to be delivered for that day. I reordered using DISCOVER BOOKS and I will cancel the books ordered from Once Upon A Time Books.

This order was just fine, as usual. I love Alibris. However, my last order was for a single small paperback, Tales of Pirx the Pilot, by Stanislaw Lem. It was shipped in a light plastic envelope with no protection, and was damaged: front cover and bottom of binding torn, cover and 1st half of book bent back by a severe diagonal crease. It's so bent that one really can't read it the way you would read an undamaged book.
Had what I wanted for an acceptable price and acceptable condition.
First, only and last purchase ever with these scammers. I'd give negative stars if able to. If the post mis-delivers your package to someone else's mailbox you are out of luck. Incredibly UNHELPFUL, they actually suggested walking around a metropolitan area knocking on random strangers' doors to ask who has your package instead of admitting the post screwed up. They refused a refund because well * someone, somewhere* got it so that's all they can do.
You may as well throw your money away, it'll be less aggravating.

Answer: I saw the fake stellar reviews and did not dig deeper. I til... I had an issue. Initially, I wanted to give a small seller some business after COVID and the site looked really good. What a big mistake that was! Shame on this outfit.
