I SO appreciated hearing from an Alibris representative that explained that my coupon didn't get applied (it was a $5 coupon for a 1st time buyer) because I didn't reach a certain dollar amount; unfortunately, however, at least on my end, it didn't tell me that. It just said $5 off for 1st time buyer. While the price and satisfaction of correspondence from the rep were both good things in my transaction, the missing information about the coupon for 1st time buyers was not. They missed out on the sale of a 2nd book with the same title from me. The whole transaction was misleading at best.
I kept entering my email for the $5 coupon for 1st time buyers but it never applied toward my payment. Was going to order 2 of the same book but because of YOUR error, I will no longer do that.
I have been shopping with Alibris for years and have received consistently good service and quality books. Alibris carries more books than other used book sites.
No one likes to pay shipping. Better to build it into book price—psychological self-deception, but it works. Condition of books is not always as described. Good point is that greater selection than elsewhere.

I ordered an old D&D novel for a couple bucks from Alibris when Amazon was charging $15 for the same book. Book arrived in great condition and no problem. Chose Alibris when you can because Amazon is screwing us book buyers.
Everything was fine except the request if I received the item. You didn't say WHICH item, you just gave the date! That forced me to get to Alibris, and then to find the hidden login button and login! I make lots of orders from various companies, how should I know which one you are talking about without a lot of extra work on my part? JUST ADD A NOT AS TO THE ITEM NAME!
