Like ive been doing aleks for 3 years now and i hate it i thought it would be nice but the knoweledge checcks SUCK and when ever you get one wrong it makes you restart WTH? It should dig itself a hole and just die.

ALEKS IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Not only does this brainless computer program punish you for trying to learn, it gives you mental health issues. The outright idiocy of the grading system gives you a temper that doesn't go away for hours, because you still won't be done with the work! It takes away points that you've ALREADY EARNED for correct answers if you do not answer the next questions correctly, and it is the stupidest and most useless program I've ever come across. This system has TERRIBLE explanations for questions and expects that you know everything for knowledge checks that end up making you redo all of your past topics again. Whoever created this program must love making people suffer and cry. Karma will catch up to them. Anyways, this system doesn't motivate students to learn. Rather, it makes students angrily cry and on the verge of smashing their computer to pieces. ALEKS SUCKS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Do not ever use this program unless you want to spend an unreasonable amount of time simultaneously doing homework and cursing out a s^%%&@$$ computer program.

Using it is the worst thing ever. It sets you back if you get something wrong, and you have to get 3-4 questions in a row correct. Not helpful at all, easily worst thing I have used in college.

This website is absolutely terrible and I'm sorry to anyone who has to use it for school. I am absolutely frustrated with how they handle "teaching" math. Their explanations are super vague and even if you know you did a problem correctly it gets picky with you and says it's incorrect for reasons that it only knows. But yeah it's a waste of money and time. If you can, try to find a teacher/professor who doesn't use trash websites like this (another example being vhlcentral.com) for "teaching purposes," because it honestly doesn't teach students anything other than how to get frustrated for the rest of the day.

My teacher makes me do 28 hours a day all in my own time while not in school. She doesn't give me time to eat lunch, and if I don't finish, I can't eat dinner either. The only thing I have learned from Aleks is that I want to stop. Very bad, if I had to rate it it would be 0/10. I am pregnant with pain.

Peice of trash. If this chromebook belonged to me, i would make a fire rn and burn it and laugh while i did it, you would hear me all the way in china, just as long as ik aleks is out of my life for good. There is no reward for doing anything correct. I used a calculator, verififed the answer was correct with google, put it in to Aleks, and not a surprise, but said the answer was wrong. The person that made this program is 86, Seriously, not a good accomplishment in life to endlessly torcher innocent kids by making the program so unbeatable that u would rather fail the class than continue. Horrible program. DO NOT RECOMMEND. You would be better off being homeless than taking this math program. Heck, i would rather eat a turd than use it. Theres a lot to do in life, and idc about math. It just rly helps to know Aleks is alwyas here guiding me down the road of insanity.

ALEKS is the most worthless, useless, garbage, low quality, self-harm inducing site on the entire $#*!ing planet. Having to do 20 of these topics every 15 days is the most painful experience ive ever $#*!ing had. Nothing on this website is helpful. Literally nothing. Especially since I want to be an author. The $#*!ing knowledge checks take 17 years to complete and then they just take me back instead of helping me get closer. It doesnt help that my geometry teacher is $#*!ing worthless and i learn more from reading the book than i do trying to take notes in her class. Just shut down the $#*!ing website. I have 25 more topics to complete within the next 7 days because ALEKS took me back and made me do a knowledge check. Also, i have to do ANOTHER knowledge check literally 2 $#*!ing days after the last one. No joke, im already struggling with anxiety and have been showing signs of depressing, and i wanna $#*!ing kill myself after doing a knowledge check for 4 $#*!ing hours straight. Doesnt help that if i dont do it i get a $#*!ing 0, and its a summative assessment too, meaning it takes up a $#*! ton of my grade. Please $#*!ing burn the servers the website runs on, im literally going to smash my pc into broth.

I like aleks. It has a cool review. Also it has a knowlege check. It sees what you learned. I like that... ITS TRASH I HATE THE KNOWLEDGE TESTS THEY ARE SUPER ANNOYING. IF YOU ARE READING THIS YOUR TRASH. AND JHATE U. - YOUR MOM

Aleks has taught me that i Have bad mental health and aleks is making it worse every week i do aleks i become even less of a human Aleks has taught me that they arent useful they are the literal sakura of math programs in want to commit bread because of them so thanks aleks you have mad my life miserable

I use Aleks a lot due to my math teacher assigning 10 topics a week, unless it is a shorter week, which in that case he assigns 5 topics. I think it is a great program that allows kids like me to learn at their own pace.
If you are new to a topic, it will give you an example of how to do it. If you get a question wrong, it will give you one more chance to solve it correctly, and then it will show you the answer along with and explanation.
The problems I have with it are:
1. The constant knowledge checks
It gives me a knowledge check every other week. This can become frustrating as they can take hours to complete. It also tells me that I have mastered a topic, and then one week later I am again reviewing it again.
2. The site kicking me off
Aleks basically kicks me off after a certain amount of time of me not doing anything on it. Sometimes I'll keep the tab open as a reminder that I need to get it done, and then when I finally am motivated to do it, it will make me go through the process of signing in again.
3. The examples
Lots of times the examples Aleks gives me are helpful, but there are times when they aren't. Sometimes I need to get extra help from my parents, who aren't able to help me until nighttime when I'm supposed to be doing other things. There isn't much Aleks can do about this issue, but it would be helpful if someone did something.

Worst education site known to man. The explanations are garbage and $#*! the knowledge checks. You will literally want to commit suicide if you get a question wrong and it is $#*!ing torture and lazy work for teachers to give you this.

I want to kill the demon who created ALESKS and his minions then burn down the ALESKS building and everyone associated with it and the people who are on the ALEKS front page smiling probably have a gun pointed to their head. ALEKS is a form of torcher reserved for the worst of criminals being the top way of capital punishment or that is what you would think but no it is used to brutally torcher students and make them dumber. I have lost more brain cells using this website than I have gained I know this is a rant but this pile of steaming trash deserves to be 0 stars and if I could give negative stars I would so all and all this website is a torcher device and students should not be subjected to it as it is so painful to go through.

It's $#*! and terrible for all students it doesn't work at all and there's no motivation to complete it. It's dumb and has bad ways of teaching things

I am an older college student stuck on this p. O. s. Aleks "prepares you" for their exam, however, the exam is completely different than what they are conditioning the student with. Some questions are not even the same or haven't even gone over yet. Considering that my class grade is the majority of exams... on Aleks. I'm screwed.

This website takes away points that you've already earned when you miss a question. I spent 6 hours on this $h! T site today. I was one question away from finishing and I accidentally didn't put a negative sign in front of my answer and added 30 more minutes to my workload. It's a complete waste of time and makes you work until you can't think straight.

(The third semester of college using aleks) I have never felt more $#*!ty about myself after a session of ALEKS. After reading not only these reviews but other website reviews, you would think school districts and universities would realize that this $#*!ing $#*! does not work, let alone punishes you for being wrong. Every time I want to submit an answer, I am scared because I am afraid it will mark me wrong and remove my progress because I didn't round or the program couldn't read my response (happened multiple times). Oh and the explanations are dog $#*!, I've seen my bulldog $#*! out better explanations than these, mine as well be looking at a different language. So in summary, if your school is mentally challenged and wants to use ALEKS because the social work office didn't meet their quota from last year, so they need more people, then I suggest you also buy a Chegg subscription for the explanations and sometimes you will get lucky and they numbers line up.
