You gotta are charging me for an order i haven't received and when i tweet to dispute it on the app it's also invalid! Now i'm losing credit with you all because i refuse to pay for an order that i didn't receive.
I signed up with Afterpay about three maybe even more years ago because I received a message from them stating they was offering me a $600 spending limit. That but now pay later prank for most. Well until today I have never been approved for anything. They actually offered $0 limit. Maybe I'm doing the directions wrong I don't know. I gave up came back, forgot remembered checked again. Afterpay you fooled me for way too long. Next time I uninstall the app I won't reinstall anymore. Enough is enough. Getting people attention with the $600 u can never actually access. Ima read some reviews to understand if anyone in the world accessed there spending no spending limit
Used to be a 5-star company, but now their so-called "customer service" is complete crap. One of my orders didn't go through on the app and I didn't know if I had to reorder or not because I didn't want to get double charged. I messaged them later that day, but gave them the benefit of the doubt that they were busy from the rush of customers, so I waited. Monday came and went and by this point no one has been responding to any of my messages through the app. The phone number reroutes you to the same chat they've been ignoring and even my emails have gone unanswered. They claim someone will message me back within 24 hours but that's obviously a lie. Had to go to Sezzle to complete my Christmas shopping since Afterpay clearly doesn't care enough about their customers to respond to them. The only reason they're getting 2 stars is because they are a pretty good service to use, as long as you don't have any problems.
If you do, you're screwed. Been a customer since 2019 but I don't think l'll be back. It's not worth the headache.
Afterpay designs their app so when you click to pay in store you can unintentionally activate an afterpay card where they charge you 9.99 per month. I immediately realised this cancelled it and contacted afterpay, they refused the refund, very dodgy company designs the app so you can easily click 1 button and a random card is activated with ongoing fees, they are scammers
It works well until you have a return. I made a return to Lululemon for $106 and Afterpay is not crediting my account. They are holding to my money. It's not event that much. I don't recommend using them. I have been going back and forth with their rep Joyce for days now and she still hasn't credited my account. I don't trust them. I provided a receipt for the refund and still no resolution. Also, why don't they have a number to call? Red flag.
Afterpay has changed a lot. They want you to have the full amount of the merchandise. Why do we need Afterpay. I made two payments.
Been an afterpay customer since 2017. Lately have hated their customer service. They decided to freeze my account until it was paid off due to asking to reschedule payments more than once. The agent that froze my account failed to mention that to me before rescheduling my payments. If I would of known they were going to do that beforehand I would not have asked again. Since they failed to mention that and I have said that several times and how I feel about it, they should care and unfreeze my account. At least when all rescheduled payments are made,NOT when full account is paid off! I am beyond pissed, they don't care how I feel or want to help. I am wanting to not be an afterpay customer anymore due to this situation and my feelings being ignored.
I was on the Afterpay app and clicked on Amazon via Afterpay. Prior to finalizing my Amazon order via Afterpay, however, I backed out! Then I signed back up for my Amazon Prime membership, which is a fee of ONLY $16.08! Afterpay immediately took $143.85 out of my checking account, and Afterpay is claiming I still owe another $431.54, in the next 3 additional payments!
Afterpay took money from out of my checking account that for items that are STILL IN MY AMAZON CART! They're still in my Amazon cart, because I NEVER ORDERED THEM! Therefore, not only are my items NOT on the way to me, I CANNOT place my order for those items, because Afterpay ALREADY TOOK MY MONEY OUT for items I DID NOT ORDER! This all took place on Friday October 27th! Afterpay is trying to tell me that I will have to wait until this coming Friday, November the 3rd before I even hear anything back about my $143.85 that they helped themselves to last Friday!
Also, Amazon claims they have NOT received any such payment from Afterpay!
I almost feel bad for the 1 star because they have helped me on many occasions. But taking your credit limit down to 0 for being 1 day late. That is horrible... The rich does not need this company. It's the Friday to Friday people who use afterpay. You should have a grace of 3 days at least. If I had money I would not need your services in the first place. I have used this company since mid 2019 and spent thousands with them. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.
I will never use Afterpay again, you can't even get someone on the phone to help. I couldn't even log into my account to make a payment.
Worst customer service EVER! THEY REFUSE TO CALL YOU BACK EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE REQUESTED SEVERAL TIMES! THEY LIE ABOUT PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS AND SCREW OVER THEIR CUSTOMERS...JUST DONT DO IT!
I had ordered something on Ulta's app and used Afterpay for the payment. The order did not go through and Ulta canceled it. But Afterpay's payment went through. I filed a complaint stop the payment on the order that is canceled and Ulta replied stating that the order was definitely canceled but Afterpay is still charging me. I cannot get them to answer my messages or even fix the problem. It's been a week and I have yet to get any resolution from them.
Don't waste time your time and energy. I was approved for $600. But after would try to make purchases, they would deny me. This happened several times with no explanation. I had to prove I was real, my address was real ( they swore up and down that city I live in wasn't real) my email address was real, my LEASE TO MY HOUSE. Was real and my drivers license was real and valid multiple times. They tried to say I was fraudulent because in the several emails I sent them, my phone switched to my work email. Their responses we were cut and paste with no real answers if it even if it applied to what I was saying. Just for them to deny me every time even though I was approved for $600. Tried different amounts and different stores. Same dang thing every time. Never even had the chance to try it.
After pay is a joke. They close my account due to late payment. Saying I can never open another one again. That Bull $#*!. Yall should be ashamed of this company, app whatever you call yourself. Closed my account now.
If I could leave NO stars I would. I have been an Afterpay customer since 2020 and always had great payment history. Their website states they offer financial hardship support, so I contacted customer service regarding this. I have contacted Afterpay multiple times, and have received the same generic response. They decided to cut off my ability to use the account and EVER apply again due to one order having payment issues beyond my control and eventually paid the balance in full. Mind you, I disclosed the reasons why I had financial hardship (domestic violence and loss of income) but it was all irrelevant as I have received the SAME response from at least three customer service representatives. This company is a joke and could care less if you had great payment history (Over 50 orders total) just don't have any life issues arise that stop you from being able to sort your accounts out. In other words, don't be human.
The customer service here is useless just using all the "canned responses" and doesn't really understand how to reply on inquiries. Its true you get to save money for not paying in full, but when you do return or refund they wont give your money back. They charged me twice and did not do any refund even if I don't have the item! Such a scam!
After paying on time, if not early on all of my payments thus far, I was 3 days late on "ONE" payment and instead of just charging me a late fee, they take my balance down to practically nothing and than going to tell me if I keep making my future payments on time, it can increase again! WTF am I supposed to buy for what you left me! And after paying HUNDREDS of dollars ON TIME AND EARLY! This is the way you treat your loyal customers, I can see why on pretty much every site y'all have such a horrible rating! I won't use y'all again and I have other people using y'all's app, I'll make sure they don't either, y'all are a joke!
I have been a loyal customer almost 4 years with over 30 pages of afterpay purchases and they are having a problem refunding me $40 for a purchase I never received. They keep saying contact the merchant which I have and I have forwarded the emails to them from the merchant and close the dispute which they told me to do so after pay could refund my money and I have no results. Not only that now they have taken their phone lines down so you can't get in contact with them the only thing I can see to do now is to contact the compliance hotline.
I ordered my children school clothes from afterpay my total came out to be 90.03. Once I got wind that my children didn't wear uniforms to school I took back all the items that was no longer needed. Making my new total to come out to be $34.91 afterpay never adjusted my new balance making me pay $90.03 for items I do not have in my possession. I've tried emailing them but no luck I also tried sending them proof that I returned the items back into the store but no luck. Please be careful with using afterpay I was scammed and also had money stolen from me by afterpay I have now filed a bank claim due to this inconvenience they have caused me. This is my last time using them. Also there's no real person to speak with only by email and when you email them they send repeated emails as if it's an robot emailing you. I'm leaving this review to warn everyone not to use them if you return back items you will still have to pay the whole balance even though you no longer have the items in your possession.
Answer: You can't it's impossible. There's no number, and they don't reply to emails in a timely manner. Says it takes 24-48 hrs. It's been 9 days do far. Still waiting for help

Answer: When afterpay DOES work, it VERY handy and helps out ALOT especially once you DO get to the MINT. As long as you don't have any issues or questions(which, there's USUALLY an issue with shipping or something that SAYS you can use afterpay or its ON afterpay, but you STILL can't purchase it with afterpay). Everything I HAVE received, was VERY GOOD quality.
