I can assure anyone reading this that AFF is almost a complete waste of time. It's outdated, very "buggy", the IM feature doesnt work well, the live webcamming has been taken over by women who want to be paid, i. E. no different than Chaturbate, etc - and the absurd "new features" such as "Buzzmode" don't even make sense. The few real people are mostly male, fat and well into their fifties, and have no qualms about showing you their saggy bottoms. You'll be bombarded by fake profiles of gorgeous women who only have one well-lit photo of themselves "flirting" with you, and then will try to con you out of your email address.
Ten years ago AFF was a functioning, legitimate hook-up site - now it's been rendered obsolete and the company knows it. Tinder and the 20 other similar apps are much more usable, that's why AFF tries to charge for everything and generates revenue from the webcammers.
Save your money for something else.

You cant even contact users and this is after you pay. I warned them to cancel my account and dont charge my credit card again. It's a RIP off stay away, it's like throwing your money in the garbage pale. This site is a landfill of hackers, Bots, you name it the internet garbage is there, poorly managed site

The site is relatively serious compared with others, but has SEVERE issues when dealing with fake and multiple profiles. Complaints are responded with standard templates, profiles reported with evidently wrong gender and documented fake pictures from other sites are not taken action upon, and repeated multiple profiles of "gold" users are tolerated and not investigated even when clear evidendence is given. Users that continously report such cases are blocked. Terms of use are abusive and legally questionable - the page is authorized to block any user without need of any justification, nor possibility to confront such decision - and IPs of such "conflictive" users are blocked so they cannot use the site in the future.

Take this site as-is, do not expect a real consumer service and even less, a stringent policy regarding fake and scam. Yes - action is taken on "light" cases but not on the really relevant ones that scam dozens or hundreds of users. With decent common sense on these points, you will find more "real" contacts than anywhere else - but that's about it.

I paid for premium, just the first level, cancelled 2 months later. You do NOT get full access with just the gold, have to get another level to message non members at ANOTHER cost, or they can only get ur message as a blur. AFF has so many fake profiles and bots. The IM program also is very unreliable, but works well for their spam bots! I reported it and they say it works good, but they are checking with a IN NETWORK PC and not log in as a regular user from a out of network pc. Profile views and IM notifications dont work well at all, you may get one out of 10. They know it dont work well and wont fix. I think this site is a big money scam!

I am fed up with people on hear sayin AFF or hookuphangout or what ever other good site dont work fast enuff. Seriosly man get a grip! Last year I used the service for a one month paid subscription. Within 48 hours I hooked up with the only SWF in my local area. For the rest of the month that is all there was so I did not renew the subscription.
Recently I thought I would give it another try. I signed up, I thought, for 1 month for $20. At the end of the transaction I was charged $101 for three months of gold service plus an extra month of standard service. I immediately sent them an email. They responded asking for my log in information which I provided.
They then sent me and email saying they would charge me for one month of Gold Service and refund the remainder of the charge and asked that I respond if I agreed. I responded that I did agree to the one month charge. I then received an email stating auto renewal was not activated on my account and that if I had further questions to contact billing.
First. Every single response from them to the same email chain was from a different person.
Second. There was never a question about automatic renewal.
I feel like I'm getting some sort of run around and I will likely be out $81 more than I had intended to spend.
Third. The only woman that is into sex with straight men in my area is the same one I hooked up with before and it wasn't good enough to want seconds.
Yes. You may get laid but you may also lose money. I don't trust them at this point.

I'm a guy and AFF is not all bad, it does provide some entertainment. If you are a normal sort of guy and make a good profile and have good pictures you may even meet a woman. Most women chicken out and nothing ever happens. You will be contacted by a hoarde of men even though your profile is not gay or bi. But the worst part is the fake profiles initiated by AFF of women and the elaborate support AFF gives them like comments of the fake profiles photos by other fake profiles. And there are the jamacian send me money I love you scammers. Be prepared to invest a lot of time to figure it all out.

Spent 4+ hours setting up profile and creating contacts. 12 hours later, my account has been "put on hold" pending Risk Management. Only way to contact them is via an international call to customer services who will then transfer me to said department. Customer service rep (Jason) was not at all forthcoming with details and I frequently had to ask him to clarify what he was saying.

All in all, a complete waste of time and effort, and customer service that would make Auschwitz blush. You're better off using Fetlife or another casual dating site.
