I first read about Adore me in my InStyle magazine and decided to check it out. I saw that there was a price advantage for purchasing and allowing VIP membership to occur. This was a mistake. I received the product (wrong size) and they were really good about exchanging it, hassle free. I was shocked, however, to find my credit card was being charged monthly for automatic store credit. This type of scenario makes me uneasy. I don't even like my utility companies to have that ability, and that's for a service I'm actually using. I ended up requesting a refund (I had to do it twice, because the first time I used my mobile phone and even though I received a confirmation message, it didn't go through. I ended up getting a refund after the second try on my laptop. The email confirmation was sent the day of my request and 3 days later the credit appeared on my bank statement).
I tried to email their Client Services department to cancel my VIP subscription (after being told I could always skip each month by visiting the site, but that still seemed like a lot of effort on my end with little reward). They said for security purposes they could only cancel the sub over the phone. So I called them, was on hold for 20 minutes, and left a message. A week went by and I hadn't heard a thing from the company, so I emailed them back. I received the same auto generated reply that I could only cancel my subscription over the phone. I tried calling again, listened to the "boom clap" hold music for another 15 minutes, and was finally connected to a representative. I explained that I wanted to cancel, she was courteous, and I just received my confirmation email that my VIP subscription has been cancelled. I asked her how long this takes to go into effect, and whether or not I need to check the first of January to "skip" a month if I don't want to deal with an unnecessary charge, and she said it is effective immediately. So time will tell.
Over all, I like the product of the lingerie set that I did end up buying, but I think the fact that they actually CHARGE you first, and ask questions later was really unsettling.

Regarding the VIP membership, we apologize if you felt that the terms were unclear. The terms and conditions of membership are stated twice during checkout, once more in the membership confirmation email, in the reminder emails before the fifth and in numerous locations on the site.
The vast majority of our VIP shoppers enjoy the VIP membership and benefits, and skip the month or make a purchase without issue. As you mentioned, shoppers who prefer a one-time purchase option can always choose „Pay As You Go”upon checkout.
That being said, we confirm that your VIP membership was cancelled on December 16th and you will not need to shop or skip the month.

Scam scam scam scam... They steal your credit card information and will never delete it. In the fine print, they state that they have the right to all information you put on their site. Meaning, they sell your phone number and email. They will charge your credit card until you (call) to take it off.
I had to close my credit card account to make it stop.

Answer: I was on hold for 30 minutes for 3 days in a row with no answer. I didn't speak to anyone. I was told through messaging with a stylist on the webiste that i could not call and speak to a manager. I did speak with a manager the last time i called and actually got through, because I was having a fit.
Answer: I contacted the BBB & AdoreMe chose to ignore my complaint. They never addressed my issue. This company should not be trusted & has horrendous & rude customer service.

Answer: Yes but they will keep charging her automatically if she uses it. If she wants to stop the automatic subscription she needs to spend it and then cancel her subscription after the stuff arrives. If they charge her again you can dispute the charge with them within 30 days to get a refund. Honestly you'd be better off letting your credit card company handle it/dispute it.
Answer: Keep calling. It's your only way to stop the madness. Insist on staying on the phone until you receive the confirmation email. Adore Me is the biggest scam ever. I'm reporting them to the attorney general.
