Very good experience shopping with these guys, great prices and selection. Only complaints are the shipping took extremely longer than normal on one of my purchases and Ive had to be refunded once for unknowingly purchasing something on back order, overall this is an amazing site for photographers and consumers to shop.
On three separate orders this website has either canceled the order after a week or sent the incorrect item. The worst part is that I have to prove the return of the incorrect item before I can get a refund, even though Adorama admits to not having had the item in stock and that there was an error. Customer service is also located in India. Have fun trying to get anything resolved.

Adorama offers much lower prices. So I always pick my cameras here. The camerals are really good and durable. My last camera was purchased three years online and it still functions well.

I called them to check stock before placing order. They assured me they had the item in stock. I ordered the item and they charged the credit card right away. I emailed them twice to inquire about tracking information for the shipment and never heard back. After over a week, I visited the website and found the order tracking information. It was an internal PO (purchase order). I was pretty mad. I used the support portal to get to their customer service, who finally answered me but they still provided no tracking information. After 14 days, I cancelled the order. They never had the item in stock to begin with! They took the order and charged my credit card and never shipped anything! I'm still waiting to get my credit card charges reversed. I will not order anything from them again. Bad, bad, bad.
Fast response; easy to modify order. Have used them before and will continue to do so.
I've used Adorama for many purchases. Not, for anything bad about Adorama, I've tended to go first to B&H but when I've used Adorama, the merchandise has arrived promptly and in the odd occasion where there was some issue, their customer service responded lightening fast and shopped the package overnight at no extra charge.
I have no hesitation in recommending Adorama. I'm giving it 5 stars since they have a comprehensive stock of photographic items and are reliable. If there are mistakes, they deal with it and don't create a hassle. That, in itself is worth the 5 stars!

I purchased an expensive laptop case because the description of the case said it came with a removable laptop sleeve. I contacted customer service when the case did not contain the removable sleeve and the case did not secure the laptop without it. After a week, I received the following response:

My name is not Corrinne, the item delivered was not as described, and they have ignored my request to either send the missing item, allow return of the case for refund, or provide a partial refund for the missing item.
This was Adoromas listing error, not a typographical error. The item was not as described. A reputable company does not just say Oops, sorry.
Please dont buy from these people who knows what you will actually get.
I bought a digital VHS convertor from Adorama through Amazon. After many hours of struggling to get the product to work and then many hours of talking to Adorama, Terratech, Amazon, etc., Adorama promised to take the product- this is after extreme perseverance and threats to report them. Now that i ask them to return the product which has never worked, they will not take it back and refund or replace it. I spoke to 5 people in one afternoon there and each person gave misinformation, some hung up and the manager has not returned my call. Can this all just be negligence or intentional-- I wonder. I would give them a very low rating. Spread the word and protect others from these people.

I have been ordering from Adorama off and on for about 5-6 years, directly from them and also thru Amazon. One of my daughters is a photographer and I have gotten a camera, accessories and so on as gifts for her. I also ordered a laptop from them for my other daughter as well as getting a few things for myself.
The items for my daughters were shipped to them in Chicago and IN and my things to my home. In all cases the orders were filled promptly, arrived on time. And were packaged well so that everything was received in excellent condition. Their prices are very competitive and in some instances, if I caught a sale, lower than other places.; not to mention free shipping on a few of them.
I have found Adorama to be a very reputable, dependable and reliable seller. I would have no hesitation in placing additional orders with them and I'm sure I probably will, with confidence, in the future.
I purchaced a Fujinon TH13x3.5BRMU 13x 1/3" JVC ProHD Lens for $625. They posted detailed pics of the item as being in prime condition. Then they called me up a few days later and cancelled my order after I had paid for it and passed up another lens of the same type that they had posted on ebay for only $125 more. Also on the 9th of the same month I had purchaced a headset from them only to get a notice two days later say they did not have such in stock as they had advertised prior and had no idea when it would be in. As far as the lens they would not sell me the other one, they would not fix the one sold to me and they would not sell it to me as is and their posting says as follows: Items Included:

I've been buying from Adorama for about 5 years. They often have good package deals when new cameras come out, usually with an SD card, sometimes with an extra battery. They ship quickly and the packages protect the contents very well. Prices are very competitive. I've contacted customer support just once, and they were very nice.

Update: Helen, who is Adorama's customer advocate, contacted me and extended the offer of the POGO cloud as advertised on BRADSDEALS. The offer was extended to ALL customers who signed up for VIP accounts, so it was not a special offer for me. If you have a problem with "basic" customer service, I recommend contacting Helen for a swift resolution.
Original Problem:
Adorama offered a free POGO cloud (they stated it was valued at $149) in a bundle with Adobe Photoshop on BRADSDEALS. Because there was no weekend customer support, I sent a note containing the BRADSDEALS offer and said I wanted to ensure they included the cloud with the order, which I placed because it was such a good deal with the cloud. Instead of verifying that they were not honoring the free offer, they sent me a note that they had shipped Adobe Photoshop and I could get the cloud free if I bought a warranty... with no mention of the different offer on BRADSDEALS. I put a comment on BRADSDEALS that Adorama did not honor their offer, and BRADSDEALS withdrew it from the website, but no one responded to my comment, although I copied Adorama. I'm not sure that I'll keep their product, but I definitely will not recommend this site.
I have made many purchases with Adorama through Amazon, on their website, and in the NY store. In all cases I have been pleasantly surprised by the speed and quality of the process. Shipping time is exceptionally quick and cheap (NOTE - I live in NY city so that may have been a factor). They are well stocked and well priced.
If you see an offering through Amazon, always check Adorama's website as well since pricing and shipping costs are sometimes less than you would pay through Amazon.
They also have some amazing buys if you purchase more than one of an item. There will usually be a little message to this effect on the item's page.
For those interested in the B&M store: The store is relatively small so it helps if you know the item model # or SKU that you need in advance as not all merchandise is on display. However a very friendly sales rep helped me search the website from the store's computer. Once we found the item it was sent up from the stock room in less than a minute. He even pulled other items that I didn't even want to purchase just so I would be able to compare.
The in-store service reflects positively on the company as a whole and compliments my experience on the website (and through Amazon). Highly recommended.
Amazon is using Adorama now to fulfill. That says( to me) that this site (adorama) is solid and reliable.
I have ordered several pieces of photography equipment from Adorama for my photography business, and every single order has been flawless. They have pretty fair prices, the shipping is fast, and they will go out of their way to help you with any question or special request you have. I am a happy, repeat customer, and I highly recommend Adorama.

I ordered an iPad via Adorama.com and two days later received an Email stating that they have cancelled the order because of: "The reason is this item is only sold in our store and not through the Internet."
In the mean time, I have already purchases an extended warranty and had to cancel it with penalties. When inquired their reply was: "We do not even hold them in our warehouse for

I just wanted to share my experience with Adorama. I bought a sony camera and there were some problems with it transferring photos to my computer. I called and was easily able to send back the camera and get a new one. All within 1 week. It is easy to find a cheap place to buy things online but a relief to find reputable websites that have good customer service.
