I mean, if the alternative is your kids perusing YouTube or watching hours of TV, this is definitely preferable. However, if you're looking for a school type activity, this is maybe not a good low sensory option.
It was suggested by our k-12 and its was just what shr needed. She was having a hard time with comprehension and the reading activities really help with that. Now she is able to form the corect opinions and understand the books she is reading. It has also helped her with math. Thank you
We've had this for 2-3 weeks and like it. My daughter does a lesson everyday without asking. I know because I get daily progress reports, which are very helpful.
My only suggestion is to add Reading and other subjects to the app. For now, Math is the only subject on the iOS app. Other subjects are accessed on the web.
AdaptedMind has been a fantastic resource for supporting learning at home. The platform is easy to navigate, and the lessons are well structured, making it simple for children to work independently while still feeling supported. I particularly like how it adapts to each child's level, building confidence as they progress.
The interactive activities keep engagement high, and the instant feedback helps reinforce understanding straight away. It's also been helpful to track progress and see where extra practice is needed.
Overall, AdaptedMind has made learning feel more enjoyable and less pressured. I would definitely recommend it to parents looking for a flexible, child-friendly way to support maths (and reading) skills outside the classroom.
First, I am impressed by what AdaptedMind has to offer. The lessons are well-designed and highly engaging. However, the progress report I get says my daughter solved 0 problems and got 0 right. I am with her the whole time, and I watch her actually solve problems, and get most right. I will appreciate a clarification on how progress is being tracked.
This is a great learning app which the children love. I appreciate the lock out after their set time is completed to ensure responsible use of electronic devices. And the customer service is extremely helpful and prompt to respond.
Once I discover this site, I play with my grandchild。 They love and enjoy it, in the same time, they learn a lot. I recommend to all parents.
My son is asking everyday after school to get on this site! He loves it and loves collecting diamonds and making monsters! He's just starting and I'm hoping to stay with this site for as long as he likes it!
We are new to homeschooling this year, and my daughter has struggled for several years in traditional classrooms. She is in Grade 6 and found math especially challenging, not because of ability, but because she is a very visual learner and a highly sensitive person who becomes discouraged easily.
While researching homeschooling resources, I found AdaptedMind, and it has been a game changer. The program first evaluated her knowledge and met her exactly where she's at, so she isn't pushed into higher-level material before she's ready. She no longer feels shamed when she makes mistakes, and the lessons are visual, encouraging, and motivating.
Beyond academics, AdaptedMind also teaches valuable life skills — helping her understand her brain, emotions, anxiety, discouragement, and even screen time. Learning finally feels safe and empowering for her.
I highly recommend AdaptedMind.
This app is amazing. It really helps my kids with their learning. Only downside I have seen is that the math problems in particular aren't setup to show their work. They're lined up side by side. For a 2nd grader who isn't familiar with borrowing or place value it can be challenging.
The experience has been fun and I love the way that the app takes the time to test the child's knowledge without any help on the pretest to see where they are and I feel like that is something every app should do to make sure they know what work to present to the kids!
I have two kids' girl and boy and they are loving it. I'm so glad I got this for them.
I like the feedback given after an incorrect answer. However, I wonder if there could be more steps to help the student get the right answer?
Also, I don't like the really long social story videos. I just want my students to practice math skills but a few times they have had to sit though the long videos and they get frustrated. The videos have way too much verbal and not enough opportunities to respond for students with disabilities.
Child really seems to like the program so far. I am a little lost yet on how to keep track wher she left off, so I don't know where to start her again every day. Also during set up, I had accidentally set up extra users that I can't figure out how to delete
Your activities have been great for reading and math concepts. If there is a way. To skip the two characters in the classroom and on the playground that would be great. Especially my 4 year old grandson who needs to engaged in an activity right away.
I just started using the paid plan on Adapted mind and my kids are loving it. This is the new revolution of learning and I would subscribe over and over again.
Thank you for your generosity and ways of learning
My daughter is 4 and can already read entire kids books. My text messages out loud at family gatherings too (eye roll) lol. I wanted to brush up on her math skills and logic skills/common sense skills.
This app/game has too much talking though. She lost interest before it even began. And then when I finally did finish setting it up, there was MORE talking all through out the game.
Also, way too expensive. $10 per subject is crazy. These app prices are getting out of control. Idk, I'll let her play with it while the trial lasts (if she even wants to with all the talking involved). But after that, I think we're done. Sorry.
Hi there! Thank you for the thoughtful feedback, and I’m sorry the talking slowed things down. Our stories/skills lessons are meant to build good learning habits, but we hear you they can feel long for some kids. We’re exploring skip options and can share updates with you.
On pricing: AdaptedMind is $9.95/month after a 30-day free trial. If you’d like help or have billing questions, please email [email protected].
So far, we have used for few days only but my son has been hooked and must say it's worth it.
Having difficulty with our PC at the moment. Haven't been able to use it from the initial start.
