I've been pretty depressed because of things that have been going on in my life lately. Although I am trying to make the effort on working on myself, 7cups was there anytime I needed it. I'd say i've had great experiences with nearly all of the listeners here, so that's really good.

I have no comment regarding the paid version however.

The free version is a hit or miss. It depends on who you get as a Listener, especially when you do a chat request. From my experience as a member, 2/3 chat request responses led to poor results. However, you can browse through their list of Listeners and you can choose who you want to talk to. However, this requires you to book an appointment with them. You can look through their profile and see their stats/reviews to ensure you have a good fit. As a Listener, half of my reviews are fairly long and have a chuck of content so I'd be weary of multiple positive reviews that only have one or two sentences. Then again, if the reviews are all extremely long, I'd take that as a sign of caution as well. Most of all, have boundaries, check to ensure what you need help with is a topic they are open to support, and don't give up after just one or two tries. You can also post on a forum for specific topics and perhaps other members can direct you to someone who helped them on the topic as well.

I have been a listener at 7cups for awhile now and my experience over there has been pleasant so far. Everyone is very considerate and passionate towards helping each other. Ofcourse there maybe some instances where you face a few difficult encounters but there are enough resources to overcome any issue. It is completely safe to use if you were to follow all the guidelines.

This app's really helpful. You see, in 9th standard I went through depression and being an introvert I didn't tell anyone about it which made it worse. Today when I look back all I wish that I had someone to talk to someone who could just hear me out without judging, someone who I didn't know! I don't want anyone to go through what I went through so I WANT TO HELP! And this app is the place! Thankyou so much 7cups you have no idea how big a blessing you are!

If you love helping people then this is the place! I am a therapy intern student and I am learning so much at 7 cups. Not only am I a listener I am also a member and when I'm feeling lonely I feel among family when I talk with my friends at 7 cups. My 17-year-old and her friends also use 7 Cups as an outlet for their daily stressors including the isolation from Covid. 7 cups has been such a blessing to my family.

I was a listener on 7cups since Jan 2016. In June 2020 when I used my 7cups profile link on my counseling website to demonstrate my credibility as a listener, my account was shut down. I don't know why this was done, I asked the team several times to explain to me what the issue was and that I was willing to rectify it. They kept saying 'violated terms of service.' No warning, no proof, nothing. Guidelines regarding terms of service are updated repeatedly and I don't know what specific term I failed to abide by. They had no intention to explain and help me see that, nor did they intend any sort of negotiation. The fact that I had sexual abuse survivors, complex PTSD survivors, grief-struck people and others with a host of different issues counting on me didn't seem to have any influence on their decision. I had this account for years and had forged many connections. Unfortunately, I never shared my contact with any of these members, and neither did they, to stick to guidelines, so 7cups was our only way to connect. I had 130 ratings and 60 reviews all amounting to an average of a full five-stars. Did any of this matter? No. They were more afraid of losing a potential customer to someone from a developing country charging cheaper rates. Crass capitalism. Disappointed. The irony of 7cups sending me a happy birthday e-mail isn't lost on me. I wrote to them for a whole year asking to work things out, but they never responded. So, now it is my duty to make others aware. Better to offer no help to a person in distress than to offer some help and then abruptly take it all away. False hope compounds disturbance.

I've only spent an hour here so far, but it seems very friendly. I need to talk to someone about my feelings, or at least listen to others talk about their feelings. I need to know I'm not alone.

People on this website, whether they be listeners, therapists, or members, seem to me to be filled with kindness. The forums are filled with open-minded members and starting a chat with a listener is always a positive experience for me. 7 Cups is really, really amazing, that there is a platform with such a cultivated and deep community.

This site has changed my life in many ways, and that's because the people on the website are awesome! I love it!

This site really is so awesome -- it has changed my life. The staff is helpful, the mods are great, the listeners are sympathetic, and the therapy is amazing for the price.

I must recommend this website to anyone who is going through something hard! It is very easy to find a listener and start chatting with them which helps a lot plus the therapy. When talking to a Listener it is helpful to simply chat and vent to them.

7 cups is an amazing website/app that helps people who want to let out how they are feeling and help them feel relieved over something. I really enjoy the environment and everyone that has been apart of that team has been amazing

Will not recommend at all, this site is filled with fake profiles and trolls.
The listeners are all using this site as facebook, most of the crowd is fake and toxic

This app sincerely brings people out of their shells and helps them to talk about their feelings and emotions and feel understood and listened to. I have listened to so many people share their stories and experiences and I am so lucky to be a part of it.

I was a member at 7 cups for years. Whenever i had a problem and nobody to listen to me I'd just open the app. And it helped me more than my words can explain. Now I'm a listener, i have listened to soo many people and i love how i can help make a difference.
