I placed an online order for a Nikon D750 and a lens saturday morning, didn't see anything showing that I placed an order, so I called the company Sunday to ask about it. I get a man with a strong accent and it was hard to communicate with him. He said he did see my order but proceeded to ask me if I ordered the european version on purpose and that was what what being sent to me. Their price online for this camera is 1449. 00, so I get mad and tell him nothing on the website states i'm ordering anything foreign. I asked him what was the difference in cameras and he said the european version doesn't have the wifi hahahaha and said it's 1849. 00 for the american version. Then tells me oh that camera is on backorder. I get pissed because of the run around and bull crap lies and tell him to cancel the order and he wouldn't. He said he couldn't cancel it because it was being processed and I needed to call back Monday. I know what they are doing, they are waiting for the order to process and funds to be transferred from my paypal so they can ship it out and like everyone else and make it a mission to get a refund and try to charge me extra charges for returning the item. I am glad that I figured this company out before they took money out of my account and am kicking myself in the butt for not researching the company like I did the camera. Looks like most people are finding out after they take their money. I have a call in to my bank and they know that they are scammers and whether they cancel my order or not, they aren't getting my money. Believe everything you are reading about this company! It floors me that they are still in business!

42nd Street tried to tell us that we had to pay $500 more for the camera and lens that worked in the US. They said I accidentally ordered the European version. So I believed them and paid an extra $500. Turns out, there are not two types. They are refusing to credit me the $500.

12/23/15. After reading my negative review of 42nd Street Photo, Jack, from the organization called me and agreed to credit me the amount. Thanks to them for doing the right thing.

I was looking for a specific camera and found it for a good price at 42nd Street Photo. When I called to ask a question (after placing the order), they first told me I had to buy a special memory card (a lie). Then they told me the camera did not have a US warranty (possibly true, but not mentioned anywhere on the site). But they just happened to have two cameras left, with US warranty, for only $100 more. I wised up and canceled the order.

Summary: Bait and Switch, Rude, Not even a good deal, hassle, waste your time and money

Just dealt with these guys. Saw the amazing deal on the site, read through their information, seemed legit. I even googled reviews of them and the reviews came up okay. BOY WAS I wrong. Read through the NEGATIVE reviews around the web they will all give you an accurate description of these crooks. My experience: I upgraded to 2 day shipping and instead of shipping it out they called me and requested I call back. After a few days (it couldn't get shipped over the weekend i guess) I got a hold of Adam. The guy tried to sell me extra stuff with the camera (batteries, memory cards) and then explained it didn't come with any of the original manufacturer accessories (although their site did say that it came with it). And the agent was RUDE RUDE RUDE, he ket trying to do sales rebuttals saying i will feel "ashamed" and "guilty" if i don't go with them. It was very WEIRD... sort of like aggressive NLP sales tactics. And he was condescending and basically just a jerk. The only good thing is that my ordered was cancelled (and if that is the only good thing I can say about your company you have to admit thats laughable). I will NEVER use this company again. Now as I read more indepth reviews I see the camera does include the orig. Manufacturers warranty. NONE of this is mentioned on their website.

SIDENOTE: The deals they offer are not even that good anyways. I got the same camera, with free expedited shipping from ADORAMA (who are reputable), with all accessories and warranty for the same price when you include the shipping (and without shipping only modestly more expensive)

I bought two batteries for my new camera cause i had a big wedding im photographing soon and I was getting worried they wouldn't arrive on time but they came early and was able to charge them and get to my gig on time. This site definitely has customer for life with me

I had a great experience purchasing from 42nd Street Photo. They provide quality service and at a competitive price. Recently I broke a UV filter I purchased from them back in June 2013, which is well over a year ago. They sent me a replacement with no questions asked. Now that is awesome customer service!
