The simplicity of sifting through the large membership one pic at a time made it easy to establish physical attraction before either profile was read. This saves a lot of time wasted while waiting for a reply. They see your pic, say "yes" to meeting you, and then you can both look at the profile while you decide how to approach them, or IF you want to approach them. In my case, she had read my profile and contacted me. This eliminated the possibility that my first message went unread. She immediately replied and we had instant chemistry. The only reason I didn't give more stars is because you can't look at the profile before saying "yes" to "meeting" them online. You can't look at all their pics first either. The "yes" for both of you is based on one pic. It's not that the method is bad because it does what's intended. It gets you both talking to potential dates that are attractive to you. You can see the profile after you've both said "yes," before your first message anyway, so the best thing about it is that it saves ALOT of sifting looking for someone that wants to talk to you. In this regard, Zoosk is the best dating site I've found for that, but DO read the profiles first or you're going to fail to 1) Capture their attention by noting something in common between you, compose an opening message that gets them talking about something in their profile, or have anything interesting to say. 2) They might not be in your area. In my case I was prepared to go anywhere to find compatibility. That's what they make planes for isn't it? I was lucky enough she was in my area.
No more bullet points! Do your Carousel homework every day and start talking to them. Zoosk will do just what a dating site is supposed to do, but it can't accomplish it without two human beings that are attracted to each other interacting.

My Zoosk account was compromised. I call their customer support and was asked some questions. They confirmed it was compromised and blocked my account. They told me I could start another account with a new email address and use different credit card for payment. They did not address the fact that my account was hacked or that my personal information was compromised I was asked to contact the local authorities and their legal team will be cooperative once they received a legal document. They had no concern or care about what transpired. Stay away! This is not the first time this happened. I read many reviews with very similar stories.

I have been on Zoosk for almost 6 months and I won't lie, it has been an emotional roller coaster ride. You meet as many people as you decide you may have an interest in and hope then to find some with common interests. I learned you can't just trust everyone immediately and to proceed with more caution. I made three solid connections and did get my heart bruised by a couple. When I was ready to quit, I started talking to someone that I didn't see a connection but I was wrong. We have a great time and are getting closer everyday. He doesn't live near me but we feel that shouldn't be an obstacle at this point. We are planning to meet soon and will see how that goes. My point is that this process, on line dating, isn't easy and takes time. Write a good profile and be open to who you talk to because you never know, the right one may be waiting for you. Patience, you need patience and if you really do want to meet someone, perseverance is a must as well. It may not happen in the time frame you were hoping for but don't have any expectations and be open to talking to different people and I bet you"ll find someone special like I have. Anything is possible... patience.

Found the one that i think tha ti was looking for all my life we hit it off from the start. From the time that we started talking i was watching a tv show on tv and some thing in my gut told me to go to the computer and so i went to the computer and saw that meme sent me a wink then a chat request so i was like this cant be true some one talking to me on this site. I been on zoosk before and got no where and i was getting ready to cancel the subscription and then i said hi and meme started talking to me and we just sat online talking for hours and i feel a strong connection with her stronger then with any women some one that stand by my side thourgh think and thin and that is what i need in life and want the most thanks meme for making the happiest man alive and thanks zoosk for making it happen.

In the words of my fellow online dating survivors "DO NOT LEND YOUR CREDIT CARD OR BANK INFO TO THIS ILLEGAL BUSINESS SCHEME". Most of the profiles are scammers and fakes! An example of just one of the misleading and fraudulent things you can expect on a regular basis are profiles with 1 picture and no description harassing you, chat requesting you, carousel-ing you, then sending you messages of how "they can'take talk here" and to "give them your email so they can send pics". This site needs to be discredited and shut down permantly! I signed up for a 6 month subscription, which ends on 10/6/15. My credit card and debit cards have be cancelled and new ones reissued to prevent an automated renewal that cannot be destroyed any other way. Run and don't look back.

I paid for a 6 month sub. Half way through I realized some of the girls I was trying to chat up weren't subscribers. Of course, Zoosk offers to take more of your money so that even non-subscribers can reply. So I do that and still so few replies. Then I looked more in depth at the accounts. More than half were inactive for more than 30 days, but still showing up in the front of the search queues. I also looked at the pictures and "usernames" to find out many were stock photos from the web and auto-generated names. In 6 months I got 3 dates. Total waste of time and money!

They stock their site with expired and fake accounts to make it look like they have a wide user base and lure you into paying them for access. Their customer service is terrible too. Twice I deactivated my account and each time they ended my paid subscription early!

Zoosk is the worst dating site ever. They make it so easy for people to sign on (literally took 5 minutes) but when you try to cancel/leave them they make it extremely difficult. When I called their 800# they said I have to go through "ITunes" to cancel your subscription. I found out ITunes is partner with Zoosk! I downloaded ITunes Stores on my phone and my PC and tried it numerous times with no success on the cancellation of my subscription, not sure what else to do to prevent them from continuously billing my credit card without having to cancel my credit card!
Please do NOT use ZOOSK!

Yet another dating site that survives by, in my opinion, ripping off it's "Subscribers". Like some members express interest but NEVER bother or cannot be bothered to respond or respond in slow, meaningless ways.

Like Diane, 65 in Hamilton who wrote to me saying she could not tell me what it would mean to her if she could talk to me. Like a fool, I paid for a subscription, replied to her and she did NOTHING!

Was Diane a PLANT by Zoosk to deceive me into paying a subscription fee for nothing? I think she was! All in all I had several messages from women expressing interest in one way or the other and oddly enough, once I was a paid subscriber they no longer could be bothered to reply. In my opinion there can be only one reason for this nonsense!

One last thing, like Ashley Madison, there is this B/S Zoosk Policy not to let you to read messages from others THAT YOU ALREADY PAID FOR! THIS, IN MY OPINION IS A COMPLETE AND TOTAL RIPOFF!

I posted most of the above which is fair comment on my Zoosk Profile. They of course changed my profile be removing what was fair comments in spite of the fact there was no vulgar language used anywhere.

Apparently they clearly do not want their "Subscribers" to know the truth about how they operate.

They are in my opinion nothing more than snakes in the grass feeding off the loneliness of those who pay their bills and wages.

PS: There should be a way not to award theses scumbags any stars.

After being a member for only 2 weeks or so, I did meet exactly one quality person whom I dated on and off casually and later that year as a steady for some time on Zoosk. We still see each other casually. They were from another country, well educated, and respectful of me, but had yet to get their green card through their sponsorship job although they expect to do so. However during the times I was open to meeting others when there was no commitment established between us I heard 90% of the time from people from other countries and ethnicities. I did not find this site helpful toward meeting someone who was an American citizen.
