ZoomInfo Reviews Summary

The company has garnered mixed feedback, with notable strengths in the comprehensiveness and accuracy of its database, which many users find valuable for prospecting and generating sales leads. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, characterized by slow response times, lack of support, and issues with contract transparency, including automatic renewals. Customers frequently report frustrations with outdated or incorrect data, leading to wasted time and resources. Overall, while the platform offers useful tools, the negative experiences related to customer service and data accuracy detract from its reputation, indicating a need for improvement in these areas.

Beware!
October 16, 2020

Zoominfo is more interested in enforcing their auto renew clause than actually working with their clients. You will not hear from your customer service rep until AFTER the renewal clause date has come and gone. Then they will call to let you know that you owe them $$$$.
They are not interested in finding out whether your company is using the tool or if you are dissatisfied with it. They are interested in the renewal clause. Check BBB rating.

Never signed up for auto renewal, but some how this auto renewal has been added and I am being sent this invoice asking for payment stating that my subscription has been automatically renewed. I have emailed multiple times to the AR email address and also to another Account Manager. They just keep sending me this invoice again and again asking for payment.

Bad Mouth Competition
August 19, 2020

Recently talked to one of their sales reps (closer). I felt like I was dealing with a car salesman or timeshare closer 25 years ago. He bad mouthed their competition and tried to get me to commit to 15 k on the spot. Historically companies with this old style sales approach are trying to cover up flawed products or services. The salesman was probably a proud graduate of Trump University.

My personal opinion *******@*******@zoominfo
Has a wrong philosophy to earn money by twisting arms of clients using fine prints in the contracts then you harass them. See reviews at Best Bureau Business. If a client wanted specifically for one year then mention in the agreement and help them & all to stay honest & transparent to each other. Since you purposely craft your sales strategy and contract in such a way to trap customers and then threaten and sue through collection agencies. Is this ethical and a long term strategy? You have so many complaints all over the place with similar nature. Now you are a public listed company so please fix your strategy to screw customers but make them your partners for future growth. Your left and right legal threats and suing clients are poisonous in approach. Can you publish how many lawsuits you filed against your clients? See if you play fair and good in the market it will come to you otherwise someday some other big company will take you for a ride forever. Lets fix it soon before it's too late. Let me know if I am not fair in my advice to you.

I came across our company page on ZoomInfo and noticed the information and company logo were in correct. I "Claimed" the profile but there was no way to update the company logo & none of the info I changed was ever displayed "live". I contacted ZoomInfo many times via email & phone - I supplied the correct company logo file and all of our corrected info, NOTHING has ever been updated. I then requested the removal of the page by email, support ticket, AND snail mail to corporate headquarters - NO RESPONSE. You would think that a company who sells info would be overjoyed to have corrected information - Website sucks, customer service does nothing, management does nothing

I already wasted lot of my time with ZoomInfo "Free Trial Bait" so I decided to spend more time writing a review to warn others of ZoomInfo scam here and other review sites. I also ran across a Zoominfo offer of a "FREE trial", just like other reviewers I was contacted by phone and email to set up a demo, I never got the free trial access and I feel like I wasted my time with the phone call and a demo BS. All throughout the demo, they keep asking very personal and intrusive questions about my business. I got so frustrated because I felt the purpose of the demo was to collect my company information rather than showing me the capability of their tool. This company is very deceptive. ZoomInfo should be ashamed to be even run their business like this.

I ran across a Zoominfo offer of a "FREE trial" (see image). The form required me to provide name and contact info for what I assumed would be access to the trial version of their service. Instead, I was contacted by phone and email to set up a demo. I was told that I needed to complete the demo to get a FREE Trial set up. I was interested to learn more, so I agreed to the demo. Still no free trial. After sitting through the 45 min demo and finding out that the starting price was $8500. 00/year with a one-year contract commitment, I asked if I could try it out (you know, the FREE Trial). The salesperson, Nate Crutchfield, told me that he wouldn't set up a FREE trial for me because they were only for those who were going to sign up anyway. He suggested that I might simply download the prospect data I needed during the trial and never subscribe. WOW, talk about bait and switch. Very deceptive advertising practices. If Zooming doesn't want to offer a free trial or is concerned that doing so exposes their data in some way, then don't. But, don't PRETEND that you have a FREE trial as a bait and switch tactic. Although they may have great data and were out of my price range, I will never do business such a deceptive, dishonorable company. BEWARE of the illegitimate Zoominfo FREE Trial offer (it only exists if you don't need it). They just want your name and contact info for their "time share" hard sell demo.

First of all, no reputable B2B business should use "neighbor scam" tools to fake a local number in hopes you finally pick up your phone. However, sales folks from ZoomInfo/DiscoverOrg have absolutely no problem leveraging such services that are typically used by robocallers and not serious businesses. It seems though they have to utilize such tools bc prospects must be increasingly getting tired of their aggressive sales tactics and never-ending attempts to reach out, even though you have explained over and over again, that the solution isn't a fit.

Second, run a pilot with them to see and test if they can really deliver on a 5% bounce rate. In our case, they couldn't. Our pilot ended up resulting in a 30% (hard) bounce rate, which comes close to simply guessing someone's email based on known top-level domains. Also, while you're at it, try to see if you can get some proof if they can really deliver on thousands of contacts in your target market that resemble your buyer persona. Because the reality is, they are not strong in every vertical (which is ok, but they will pretend they are).

And third, have them present their pricing and contract terms first. If you're not serious about investing a min. Of $15-25k a year for their most basic plan, then you can save yourself MANY emails and calls with them. Also, what service like theirs really requires 1-2 year contract terms in this day and age. This is not a business tool that you deeply integrate into your business processes but simply a service to get access to cold leads. If they were confident they can provide long-term value and make their customers happy on an ongoing business, there wouldn't be a need to try and get them locked into a 1-2 year commitment with borderline unethical renewal terms (as other reviewers have stated).

Everybody gets the idea of how Zoominfo publishes inaccurate, and potentially damaging info. My point is writing this blurb is to get folks to focus on their parent organization: Discover.org.

Discover.org is a more reputable, much larger institution which many companies use for business contact purposes. Stop using/complain to Discover.org and they will exert force necessary to get Zoominfo to make good on their false assertions that they will correct or delete false info.

False Advertisers
August 27, 2019

ZoomInfo will not remove false information about your or your company unless you subscribe to their service for a fee. After emailing them several times I got the same answer each time, which read, "Thank you for contacting ZoomInfo. A member of our privacy team will be reaching out shortly regarding your request".

This is a bunch of low lives. They spidered our site and made up fake info about us. It's just a fraud masquerading as a legit business. We tried contacting them to no avail. Please DO NOT sign up and give your data to them. If it is correct data, you're helping their scheme. Or if you do sign up, consider writing false data. Feed them their own medicine.

I noticed that for some very odd reasons they had posted crap about my personal business which is entirely untrue. They make up stuff as they go. Be careful, and if you have a website, they will grab the name and create a fake profile for their database and add some B/S information about it. You may ask why someone would even spend time doing that?
The answer is more data you have on your database, more people will think you have what they need, and they pay for it.
This company should be taken to court and abolished
I called them a while back and recorded the conversation, and the girl on the other end said they have a policy of not removing the information. Even if it is wrong.
WTF!

I have been the victim of a stalker for years. For this reason I am not on linkedin, have my Facebook page deactivated, not on IG etc. Then Zoominfo list my place of work, phone number email etc without my permission. I now have to move cities and jobs again. Their tools for removing my profile do not work, their phone is never answered and they do not respond to support messages. This violates my countries privacy laws but as they are US based they don't care a fig. Bastards!
