I thought that nothing was gained from my experience. The corrections to my résumé were minimal and the LinkedIn profile hasn't proved to improve my job search by even a fraction.
I had no interviews. It's been 3 months. They gave me an updated resume and it is still not getting me any interviews
I have been out of game for a while now. I was able to give all the information i knew about myself and the tech who did my resume did a great job of putting it together. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a hard time expressing their job qualifications.
Overall, the formatting and revisions to the look and structure of my documents was great, but the changes to text were not very well-written and did not help me secure more interviews.
They did a decent job with my resume. I had to do all the inputting for my Linkedin. I didn't get any interviews nor was it worth paying the 299 I paid for the services.

I had a resume done and that was okay but I then bought the linked in product where it became apparent that it was just some template approach where the seem to use catch all frazes and following some kind of basic layout. The continue to put jobs in the wrong order describe duties incorrectly and list positions out of order and even sometimes blend the descriptions together. They closed my order without telling me. Then the reopened when I complained and now I'm thinking, now that they emailed me this survey, that they closed it again. The writer told me he was still working on it and I had just replied with feedback. I want a refund! Waste of money...
I purchased the $189 package with a $75 two day turn around on 3/3. On 3/7 I got an email that my Resume was just assigned to someone. I informed them that if this is just getting assigned, I would like a refund. No reply. I just got an email now on 3/8 stating that they just reassigned it to someone else. So, no reply to my email, no acknowledgement of my request, but time to pass around my order/resume like a "hot potato", got it. I do not recommend ZipJob, many other qualified and quality resume writing sites out there.
Hired this company based on all the positive reviews. Well, they must be either paid, or old, or something is off. I had to ask the writer to revise the resume several times (to include correcting many typos that I pointed out repeatedly). I was finally fed up and accepted the resume. I've applied to no fewer than 20-25 positions since mid December through end January. 100% have been rejected. I went back to zipjob to request a rewrite and was told I have to wait 60 days from the day I accepted the resume for them to do one complimentary edit. Definitely not the service I thought I was paying for. If they don't get it right, I will be submitting a complaint with BBB and if necessary, disputing the charge.
I imagine there are other more qualified resume writing companies out there, maybe a bit pricier, but I've learned probably worth it. I'm a mid-level finance professional if that helps add context to my review.
I was thoroughly disappointed with every aspect of the services purchased from ZipJob. I purchased a resume, cover letter, linkedin profile, and consultation call. None of the documents I received were usable nor were any of my concerns addressed either on the phone or in written communication. None of the documents were proofed for grammar or accuracy based on the information given. I would give zero stars and suggest not wasting your money.

Tried this service, received a resume that was significantly worse than the reference one I sent them, and was filled with copy/pasted poorly formatted words. When I asked for revisions, I was ghosted, and they don't offer a refund. Save yourself the money and write the resume yourself, I can promise it'll be better than what this service will write for you.
Do not give them your money! I worked with them to make my resume and showed it to many people in my industry which gave negative feedback. They take forever to respond, and I just spent 15 minutes on the phone with customer service how I would like a refund and all they did was argue with me. Poorly ran company - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME
I have been applying to jobs for a month and not had a single interview. They told me they wouldn't do anything until 60 days past. When I requested the top skills from the ATS report NONE in my field or even highlighted skills appeared. Don't waste your money.

Something about spending $300 and only getting TWO reviews in a set time amount is crazy! There were some really funky writing issues (completely misused words, bad grammar, etc. and I should know! I've got a degree in English and am used to editing and reading technical writing!)
I wanted help writing a good resume (because everyone needs a little help once and a while! Plus, I'm a busy person!) but I don't feel I got much for my money. I ended up correcting A LOT of the problems myself (was also told I couldn't add things I wanted to add? Like what kind of bull is that? It's MY resume and MY relevant experience.)
Not sure if it was MY assigned writer or what, but this service is lazy, expensive, and in my honest opinion, bad.
HUGE bummer.
The writer I was given gave me a timeline and didn't meet it. The quality of writing was laughable. I sent the writer copies of the job postings I was interested in and none of that was reflected in my resume. All of my pertinent skills were relegated to a tiny paragraph. When I demanded a refund, it was denied... Twice. I was offered another writer but I have zero confidence this will turn out satisfactorily.

It's been 3 weeks and I still don't have a satisfactory resume. They don't offer refunds. You get bounced around to different writers who do little to the resume. Waste of $300! My current resume looks more professional. Don't waste your money. If you take the time, you could do your own resume. After this experience, I will have to redo what they sent me. The writers are clearly not as good as they advertised.
I purchased the $189 package that guarantees a interview with a 60 days. After rendering my résumé I corresponded back-and-forth with my writer to ensure that this was the proper résumé needed for the transition from education to IT. It has been longer than 60 days I have not received the interview nor call back. I asked for a referral from the services and Zip job told me that I cannot get a refund but they can get my résumé rewritten. Who wants to get there résumé redone after already trying to get a job within 60 days of getting the resumes and 60 days at the end I have a new job and I feel like is a waste of time and a scam. If you don't like services somewhere why go back to them they basically force you to get your résumé rewritten with them or you lose your money.
PAY ATTENTION TO THE BAD REVIEWS! I disregarded the bad review because somehow there are many good reviews about ZipJob. They offer subpar resume writing services. It is not worth the money. Their resume writers create resumes that have incoherent sentences and spelling errors. They take your notes and drop them in the resume even though it would not make sense. I ask for a new resume writer and they just did what the first one did. Paid no attention to my notes and the work I did to fix the resume. Worst of all they only offer you a measly 30% refund.
Turn around time after first draft was more than 10 days! And the quality of the first draft was very low: inconsistent, unrelated, and a random copy paste from my letters of recommendation at best! Like an elementary school kid wrote it.
I emailed them to refund the money and they said "no refund".
The cover letter was written for the wrong job! I cannot believe it!
Please do not waste your money here.
Terrible company, took 4 days to get a customer service response and only after I called after my 3rd email was ignored.
Resume felt like it was written by someone who's English as their second language. I asked for concise and got 2 huge text blocks that "summarized" my experience. The lack of attention paid to visual design and allowing recruiters to scan for important information made me realize how much effort I would have to put in to fix the resume. At that point, what are you paying for? Not quality, not time... so you're paying for someone to type... that's it.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Answer: Hi Phil, Thank you for your service! As an Army Mom, I very much appreciate your commitment and service. My younger son did two tours in Afghanistan in three years with the Army. My older son continues to serve as an Army Reservist with deployments under his belt. Please keep in mind the VA has services available to assist with transition out. Also look at what your state has to offer for Veterans. You did not mention your work/professional vocation in your post. My advise, based on recent experience, is do not go with or trust Zipjob.
Answer: That's the same situation I was in. Just give them everything and let them figure out what to leave out, or combine, or highlight. My writer knew just what to do.
