Yanko Design

I was attracted by the nice-looking website with high-quality products, rare to find and specially selected. My first order amounted appr. EUR 170 and was delivered on time. The 2 red flags at that time were: the poor packaging quality of indeed high-quality products, and the lack of invoice attached - neither via e-mail, nor within the package.
However, I like the products listed on the website, and made a second order on May 11 2025. My order qualified for free shipping, and was paid fully at checkout.
I received an order confirmation via e-mail almost immediately and awaited the products in excitement, as they were purchased for a present. The order confirmation said that I will receive a next e-mail, once my purchase is shipped. After 10 days without any e-mail about order being shipped, I sent a kind reminder to ask when my prepaid order will be dispatched. I received no answer. A couple of days later I sent a second kind reminder via the website contact form. I received no answer.
On May 22 2025 I send a third e-mail to follow up, attached the previous e-mail, and requested either immediate shipment of my goods, or an immediate refund. Still no answer by now, May 23 2025.
I plan to press charges and escalate thy matter to the authorities.
My advice to all of you readers and fine-design lovers is to avoid the risk of losing your money to this scam e-shop. It is a painful experience, and the scam is well masked behind great design and interesting tech news on their blog.

I purchased 3 metal pencils. They have a screw on nib and the screw part for one pencil came off and got lodged inside the holder. Emails to Yanko Design came up blank, no acknowledgement no nothing. Why anyone wants to spend money there is beyond me. Avoid at all costs!

I'm seeing positive reviews about the content but not about the buying experience. Don't be deceived because the content looks a certain way because it is not supported by the companies conduct towards customers. I would caution anyone wanting to buy from this company and I'm speaking from personal experience as the other negative review also points out from personal buying experience. I placed an order over 3 months ago, Nov 2023 its now March 2024. I have contacted them several times, no response and no merchandise. I'm disputing it thru my credit card and carefully documenting everything I have even filed an FTC fraud report and intend to also file a BBB complaint.

Cancelled my order, no refund issued, no response to emails.

I placed an order on January 20th and my card was charged at the time of purchase (as expected).

I had to cancel the order later that day and the cancellation was confirmed by Yanko on January 24th.

I followed up on January 28th because I only received the confirmation email and did not receive a refund.

I followed up again February 3rd with no response.

I have had no communication from Yanko other than the automated ecommerce emails.

UPDATE 2024-04-16: I had to contact my credit card company to have the charge reversed. Still haven't heard anything from Yanko.
