Engaged to design a website and logo package. All seemed good to start - good work and reasonable turn around time.

However, time comes to get the site online and they are asking for an additional £400 for their server hosting package for a year! (I currently pay £100 for 5 domains for 5 years so that seems a bit steep)

This was not intimated at the start but I didn't need it, as I have my own server. I asked them to pop it on there instead but "that would be £150 and we wouldn't be able to sort any issues or make changes"
This is despite the package including "full deployment" Apparently full deployment does not include uploading the website. Never heard of such rubbish in my life.

In the past 30 years, I have had 11 websites designed for various businesses or projects and not once have I been held to ransom like this.

Now I have asked for a refund under their "100% money back guarantee" and they are telling me "No - because the development work has been done". What a load of piffle
