Had two fraudulent checks came to my account I have no idea where they came from Wells Fargo closed my accounts and told me to bank elsewhere it's been impossible to get any information on this and they claim to have no record of the alleged checks after two weeks of fighting them they have resigned to blame me and cannot provide any evidence of these alleged fraudulent checks

I have had a No Fee checking account with Wells Fargo for the past 22 years, Everything was fine. A few days ago, I received a letter from Wells Fargo saying that they will close my checking account within one month for no reason. It causes me a great deal of work to switch banks and accounts.

Wells Fargo has such poor attitude, rude practices, and is unprofessional in business. I am calling the CEO to design and to be replaced.

Escrow account shortage.
October 21, 2023

As I have been dealing with Wells Fargo Bank on the area of my mortgage and in particular The escrow account. My payment was $934 and since then, Wells Fargo Bank has decided to denied the option of paying my point known as a buy down point with the shortage of the escrow amount in order for me to keep my payments the same with no explanation letter given to me by Wells Fargo Bank and I have been complaining since the last three years and now is the fourth years of complaint to Wells Fargo Bank and I have called the Wells Fargo Bank last Thursday and no answer. From $ 934 a month and this year my payment is $ 965.10. Now my resent escrow statement. Wells Fargo Bank have increased my Monthly payment for $40.80 per a month and that's meant my payments have increased to $1005.90 from $965.10 and you would think Wells Fargo Bank is to help customers to achieve their financial goals. But, absolutely no based on my experience in the area of mortgage with Wells Fargo Bank. Because, Bank like Wells Fargo Bank hit a person that control over their financial like me. Especially, went you are working hard to pay off your mortgage sooner and those with mortgage that have escrow account knows what I'm talking about?. Supposed Wells Fargo Bank allows me to have option to pay for my buy down + escrow shortage. My payments would still be $934 a month. Even with my current payment at $965.10. If Wells Fargo Bank allows me to pay
$40.80 × 12 = $ 489.60 + $293.95
= $ 783.55 upfront. Payments will be $965.10 moving forward. But instead, Wells Fargo Bank denying me that option and payments will change again from $965.10 to $1005.90 and Wells Fargo Bank will keep increasing my payments. So, to whoever will read my review. Do you or not think Wells Fargo Bank is not for helping customers like me?. Or do you not agree with me that Wells Fargo Bank is to make money on the people like myself?. Because, I should an option to keep my payments the same period

Useless customer service
October 20, 2023

I have had a couple of ongoing problems this month with trying to resolve the errors and mistakes made through an account. I have talked to several people through the 1-800 numbers and they don't seem to be educated to know what a " Wells Fargo cash back deal" is. I have activated them numerous times and have always seen the money credited to me in a timely manner but not this time and I have been given the run a round on trying to get the credit because they claim it does not exist yet I can see the deal earned to me on my end but they can't see it on their end so therefore they will not give me the credit earned. Now there is an investigation because apparently they must think I'm lying about it. I have proof and have taken a screenshot of it but again nobody seems to be interested in it. It may not seem like much money earned on the cash back deals but it does add up and that's why I shop the stores that have it because it all counts. I have even gone to a local branch about this and they haven't helped much either. Same run a round and I still don't have the credit. Advice is if you are not going to honor cash back deals or any other services offered then don't promote it and please have classes to educate the rude employees who don't have a clue what the customer is talking about because getting snapped at by a Wells Fargo employee really sucks and just makes the customers irate with your service approach.

Thats the wors sistem ever. And when you call customer service they will tell you that it will take 10 working days in order to check you case..

Wells Fargo Bank
October 19, 2023

The is the absolute worst bank in the entire country. If your phone gets compromised and your money gets stolen they will NOT replace the stolen money. This bank does not investigate your claims, but instead closes them without a resolution. This bank is know for creating fake bank accounts as i read other complaints so I am sure it's an inside job and people in Wells Fargo are a part of this. I have three accounts that's were cleaned out and Wells Fargo said I must of given someone permission!

Auto Loan Department
October 19, 2023

They are the worst. I went to pay my bill and was told that I was 30 days late. No one called, emailed or sent notification that my account was past due. They then tell me it's been that way since January. I was transferred through 3 representatives and no one could tell me why this happened when their automated system never said I was late. Also my online wasn't working for months and they never sent statements to the house. They made me feel like $#*! and that I was all my fault. Worst customer service every. They only get 1 star because online banking representative was nice and helpful. She fixed my online account and apologized for the auto department for the way they treated me. I will never get a loan through them again.

Fake account
October 9, 2023
Updated review

I got the Active Cash card a couple years ago then got PC'd over to the Autograph card. I've never had any problem with my Wells cards, their fraud team,:or customer service bankers. When I set up the app a couple years ago it says I've been a customer with them since 2002 which is bull because I have only been with Wells 2 and a half years not 21 as the app says. I have never banked with Wells Fargo up until i got their credit card a couple years ago. I called in about a supposed account with my name on it that i didnt know about thinking theyd pull something up but nothing. I asked why my app says ive been with them since 2002 when i know i havent been but they insist I've been a customer that long. I heard someplace the bank set up a whole bunch of fake accounts so I wonder what the deal is with my record over at Wells F.

Wells Fargo fan

I couldn't be any happier than I am with Wells Fargo Active Cash and most recently the Autograph card. I like the 2% flat cash back from Active Cash that was relaxed this past year where I can redeem to statement in any amount. I was switched over in a targeted offer to upgrade to the Autograph card which features even better rewards. Their fraud team actually beat me to a bunch of fraudulent transactions on my account. Wells Fargo notes I've been a customer since 2002 on an account I set up when completing university then closed thereafter. There is nothing to dislike about Wells Fargo credit.

This is regarding an IRA beneficiary account.
My mother passed away, I started, on behalf of my 6 siblings and my father-the surviving spouse of the deceased.
We have received miscommunication for over 4 weeks.
I was told to open a beneficiary IRA to get my portion of the account. I have called and email multiple times, getting responses on what else i need to do.
Today, I am told my father is the beneficiary; and my mom NEEDS TO SIGN A FORM.
UM, SHE IS DECEASED!

Unprofessional, hard to understand, conflicting information given to each sibling and father.
This is still not resolved.

In 2006 a Wells Fargo Credit Card was taken out in my name without my knowledge. Years later I received a letter that I gave to my attorney. It stated I owed them money and was totally confused about the authenticity of it. Fast forward maybe seven years I find out a judgment entered against me giving me little option but to make a deal. The original amount of 40k has already been paid on something I never even bought a candy bar with but because of the poor legal support and Wells Fargo. They won't deal or bargain because they want more than $30k in interest. Anna, their representative, insists that the only deal they will make is they get principle plus interest. I am 73 years old and must say this is the worst experience I have had outside of losing family members. To say Wells Fargo doesn't care about their clients is to understate the situation. If I was on my death bed they would be there running through my pockets. Use them for your banking needs to your detriment.

The bank needed to correct several communication errors. I also had a misstep, but it was minor and corrected in a matter of hours, except for two employees. The original jerk Brennen S (they suck so bad they don't give last names) lied about calling me back after being belligerent on the phone. It will be a pain in the $#*! to switch after 40 years, and millions channeled through them. But leaving is my only option. Buyer, beware, you've seen the news about how they screw people, open accounts under people's names, etc. I didn't think they would screw me. I feel cheated and raped! Do not bank here at all costs! This culture is fostered under bad leadership from Charles W. Scharf!

I have been a customer of Wells Fargo since 1976. The last 10 years, they have become more concerned about themselves and could care less about their customers. Poor communication, less than knowledgeable staff, higher fees, and don't really care about their customers. Granted there are some great employees, but overall they no longer look out for their customers as a business. I am actively looking to find a better option. I have already moved all my investments, mortgage and other larger accounts to other financial institutions. I would highly recommend you do your research and look at other options before selecting Wells Fargo.

Went with my fiancée and all proper paperwork… they stamped it then proceeded to say they couldn't deposit it after rendering it useless with their stamps. Now we are out over 8000$! I'm angry and annoyed after using this bank for over 40 years!

Non professional.
October 3, 2023

Horrible banking, horrible with customer relations. I had a appointment to have a problem solved that was caused by a banker from Wells Fargo. Me and another lady had an appointment for 4 o'clock. And they only had 2 people in the bank. She left. The banker that tried to take care of me could not because he needed me to come back with proof of ownership after i gave my licence and scaned my atm card and i use my pin.Why didnt they tell me this before i drove here in the middle of my work day? I should of been asked to bring it in. I have a commercial account. I don't recommend for anybody. Save yourself a headache.

Unable to log in to account
September 30, 2023

This has been going on for days now! I can't log into my account on line; it has happened before. If you have an account there MOVE IT to another bank! I am going to do the same after having a business account there for years. Do not trust them at all and neither do former clients according to your recent reviews. Have called, written, emailed, and am now wondering if the money is still there (?). Any other bank would have solved this in two minutes! No, no trust, move you account post haste!

Horrible Customer Service
September 27, 2023

I visted the Wells Fargo Plumsteadville Branch today and wanted to cash a check. I viisit this branch everyday and the tellers and Manager know me, I have my personal and business accounts with this branch. I have been going to this branch for 30 years. I went to the drive through and wanted to cash a check and i gave the teller my drivers license and a deposit for my business account. She claimed she needed another form of ID, the manger was standing next to her and knows me! This is ridiculous, I understand fraud protection but I come in the branch everyday and gave them my drivers license. I got fustrated by this and asked to speak to the manager which was standing there and he was no help and did not seem to care I was upset, I told how about I take all my money out of this bank and he said OK. So I guess they care nothing about there customers, or losing large accounts! Ellen Raab / Raab Well Drilling, Inc.
