Let me start by saying I've been with WF since it was Wachovia; whereby I was forced over to WF because of the acquisition, it wasn't by choice. Over the years I was simply too lazy to leave them, until now. That said, by now you have pretty much guessed my age... let's say I am seasoned. Particulars, I filed a dispute against a car rental facility, citing "bait & switch" and don't you know, WF did NOTHING to assist, even said we won't do anything to assist. Me, "then why have a dispute department?" Mind you, I provided concrete (hard copy) evidence, along with photos that supported my case. Again, nothing except "we can't do anything"... Soooo I did the legwork and found the CEO, reached out with my evidence and photo array; and what do you know, he too found in my favor and gave a full refund for the array of issues. Heck, they even apologized profusely. Fast forward, post refund - I call WF to remove my dispute, as I took care of it myself and the young lady stated, "since we took care of this for you, I will remove the dispute and is there anything else I can do to assist you?" I exclaim, "Oh no no no you don't Missy, you didn't do a darn thing, absolutely NOTHING and I hope this is a recorded line because if I find out you took credit for the refund I worked so hard to secure, rest assured I will blog like a crazy woman - Again, you all did NOTHING to help me in the matter, so pound sand while I reconsider my current banking institution. I do NOT nor will I ever recommend Well Fargo to anyone!

The Black mngr there was self-hating apparently, but very anti-Black after he had instructed me to travel to his bank there in Lake Oswego on May 9 to cash/refund a Western Union m. O. drawn on Wells Fargo Bank. I guess he thought I was white during our phone conversation, but when I showed up, he made me wait for a long while as he paced around like a chicken with no head, grabbing and hugging white female customers as they entered the branch; they were uncomfortable and in shock by his random behavior. I realized maybe he is going to refuse me service promised over the phone and he did just that while treating indifferently as I tried to speak with him to get the m. O. cashed. He backtracked on his original promise and nastiky gestured at me physically and verbally. He refused to allow me to file a formal complaint also by discouraging me, telling me I'd have to wait a long while as they needed to help the other customers who were white and few. Finally I just left with my fiance who has had a Wells Fargo account for more than 25 years. Damien or Darren, one of the two names, behaved like a house negro treating me as a slave or unequal citizen without regard or my rights. He had to prove loudly and unprofessional overtly that although he's Black, me as a Black woman was garbage on his list. His co-workers looked on, one in disbelief, a female white, but all others never spoke up as "it was normal". It was not. I felt humiliated, insignificant, embarrassed, discriminated against, and by someone who was of my same race. He should be fired. You may contact me for follow-up. Wish I could give a no-star rating.

Do because I had several transfers from my investment account into my checking account they basically said that was fraud had the nerve to put my account on hold and close my account. When I tried calling them they basically give me all these excuses and that's one thing about them they want to control your money they're very rude very unprofessional. If you're looking for a bank do not go to this bank at all they're not dependable they are the worst bank to dealt with and I would never recommend no one to Wells Fargo.

The credit cards from Wells Fargo are the worse!
The cards get blocked all the time and you have to call in to unlock them. When you process transactions of $500 and more they block your card and make you contact each merchant to redo the transaction. This happened to me many times, and even though I have a $30k credit limit, this happens all the time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY OF THESE CARDS!

Wells Fargo issued a duplicate auto loan payment (made two (duplicate) auto loan payments on the same month! Not only did they issue payment in error but they have subjected me (the customer) to a lengthy wait period while they sort out their own mistake! This is the perfect example of an irresponsible and careless banking institution that does not care and/or value their customers! DO NOT BANK WITH WELLS FARGO! JP Morgan Chase is the way to go!

Worst bank ever
October 13, 2022

I've been trying to close my parent's estate and it's been a year and I still can't close the account. Customer service takes forever to get back to me. Each form has to be pristine of errors and the review takes over a month to review and respond to form filled out. If you don't know how to fill out a form, they distinctly told me that they CAN'T help me with the forms!? What the heck... I even have a lawyer on this case and they can't get a response from them. STAY FAR AWAY FROM WELLS FARGO. DO NOT BOTHER OPENING ANY ACCOUNT!...

My card was used fraudulently at an Arco Gas Station to remove in excess of $1,100 cash. Wells Fargo found out a skimmer was used. I kept getting bounced around between departments, sent over 50 emails with documentation, over 100 phone calls. The Wells Fargo Branch MGR was told not to say anything further to me because she was the one who let me know what happened. Wells Fargo did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, would not credit me back etc etc etc. I have a file many inches thick. Wells Fargo did not ONE TIME return any email, voice mail, letter, faxed documents etc. They did not credit me back despite knowing what happened. WELLS FARGO BANK SUPPORTS CRIMINAL ACTIVITY and by doing nothing, supports CRIMINAL ACTIVITY as well, since those who take other people's money know WELLS FARGO will do nothing about it.

The app is terrible, and the actual process of keeping track of your transactions gets worse day by day.

In my personal experience, on multiple occasions they straight up informed me through transaction info that a small, seemingly harmless transaction already went through... only to charge me for that transaction days after the fact, usually resulting in me dropping into the negatives, and being hit with an insuficient funds fee because of THEIR f*** up.

Good luck getting into contact with them, as their only means of communication in this day and age is by phone, and they're not likely to refund you the money they stole from you because CLEARLY it wasn't THEIR fault /s

If I could leave this Satan-forsaken bank I would.

I called Wells Fargo to inquire about some inaccurate insufficient funds notices. The first banker hung up on me the second banker never let me finish a sentence before cutting me off and attempting to answer my questions when they didn't know what exactly my question was. I asked more than 3 times for them to allow me to finish my question before cutting me off. But never got that respect. After 10 minutes of her cutting me off repeatedly I told her to have a nice day and hung up. I think it's time I got a new bank which is disappointing because I have been with Wells Fargo for over 10 years.

My Wells Fargo checking account was scammed for thousands of dollars. $25,000 was was withdrawn from my line id credit. In 56 years of being a customer, I never withdrew money from the line of credit. Wells Fargo claims that I authorized the withdrawal therefore I am responsible. I never authorized the withdrawal The withdrawal was illegal and according to 2 consumer protection laws the bank is responsable for any unauthorized withdrawals. My computer was shut down and I had no idea what was happening. I disputed their claim. The conclusion by Wells Fargo was... tough. Thanks for your 56 years of being a customer with a bank rated by Forbes as being one of the most corrupt banks in the country

New to Wells Fargo and my first experience was their "Reflect" visa card. I spent the last hour trying to set up automatic payment on line or with customer service. The only thing I could do was set up the minimum payment due each month. Called their customer service and got botted around 4 times with the only answer being I have to set up automatic payment by mail and they would send me a form.
After clicking round on their web site I figured out that once your auto pay for the minimum amount due was canceled, the site then allowed you to set up automatic monthly payment BUT! The catch was that you still had to set up this months payment manually as the auto payment is started next month. Customer service folks are NOT AT ALL INTERESTED IN HELPING YOU AND THEY LACK THE KNOWLEDGE IN THE FIRST PLACE TO BEGING TO HELP YOU. Waisted over an hour with the customer service folks.

Worst Bank Ever
September 28, 2022

This company is so $#*!ed up I can't understand how there still in business
Wells Fargo will go behind your back put stop payment when all you did is dispute a double booking payment
Something that Wells Fargo fails to disclose is that if you dispute a payment that is when you authorize they will freeze your account until there ready to release your funds
As a result of there blunder and total incompetenancy in the people they hire as if you IQ is above 50 they won't hire people with common sense you have to be and idiot in order to work there I've file a discremination lawsuit on behalf myself and John and Jane Doe who have been involved with disputes that Wells Fargo refuses to correct
Never ever bank with Wells Fareo if you do you've been warned just look at the recviews on any website their at about 1.5 stars out of 5 I give them -10.

Worse customer service
September 26, 2022

If you want to waste your time and get unforgettable service then open an account in Wells Fargo. I was waiting more than 20 min at Wells Fargo located at 110 congressional Ln, Rockville MD ******* just to turn in my safe box but no success because ONLY one banker along with bank manager helping ONE customer to open an account after 20 minutes I decided to close my account but no chance because for closing account has to have banker again.

I have been dealing with Wells Fargo for months trying to close my deceased brother's one person owned business. He was the sole owner and employee of the company. Wells Fargo was provided all the necessary paper work, in original format, and still have yet to close the account and clear out the little bit of money in the business checking. They still continue to ignore after 4 months that my brother is deceased and sent a new business credit card to HIS address. I have a "private" mailbox with them and Jasmine DeLoach and Diane Bryant have failed to answer any correspondence sent to this box. I emailed them multiple times when they failed to respond to a request on which of the documents they need more information on. My legal team was able to find another form, since the original State of Florida termination and closing of small business decree simply wasn't enough, and it was submitted. I also have all the tracking codes for all of the original documents sent to them, but still absolutely NO responses to the assigned email addresses and no closing of the account. They are appalling to deal with... worst experience ever with a business and closing my brother's accounts.

Put my check on hold
September 23, 2022

Wells Fargo is horrible!
I made a deposit to my bank and was told it would be in my account on a specific day so I check my account on that day and guess what no funds. I waited the next day and no funds so I call Wells Fargo to see what was going on. The representative states they placed a hold on the deposit and the deposit won't be available until another week. I ask her why the hold and she states "fraudulent activity on the company account who sent me the check. I knew she was lying because my co-workers received a check from the same company but different banks and their check showed up the next day. I told the representative I'll call the sender of the check and give her a call back. I call the company and she states their is no fraudulent activity going on with the company account. She check Her bank and the check was cleared so I Call Wells Fargo back. I spoke to the representative and explained to her what the sender told me and she states it was held by Wells Fargo and this is just their policy but nothing she can do. I told her I'm taking my business elsewhere.
