This app is disgusting! Firstly they only use email as a form of customer service which is disgusting because all they do is ignore your email! Theres no phone number to call and they can block your account whenever they feel like it. They have blocked my account this morning and are not letting me have access to my MONEY! Thieving bastards! I have over £800 pending as a transaction to my bank and a futher £50 in my pending balance!
SERIOUSLY AVOID UNLESS YOUD LIKE ALL YOUR MONEY STOLEN BY THE FOUNDERS!

Buyer Beware!

Do not use this service! I purchased an item and never received it.
That's not the worst part... there seems to be way to actually get in touch with anyone about the issue. The website makes it appear that you can, but there is never any resolution nor reply, and you go on a wild goose internet search thinking you will find a way to contact a real person. I have used many other sights such as Thread up with no problems, But this site is a total scam!

Worst Buy/sell app ever!

I have been buying/selling online for years on many different apps, I have 100% positive feedback. I joined vinted and made my first sale, an authentic Louis Vuitton Papillon 30, recorded the packing and had 15+ pictures of it from right before. Packed it nicely with a thank you note and gift as always. The lady (Kimberly Shell) then has buyers remorse, wants a refund because she can't afford it. Okay, no problem I think, wroooong! She then tries to claim the bag isn't authentic! Sends the Vinted staff pics of just the outside but not inside or of the date code because "she can't find it" it was in an obvious spot and I sent a picture of exactly where it was. They don't care, they just give her her money back. Complete scam! Still don't have my bag back! Beware of Kimberly Shell in Cottage Park, Alabama lying scammer!

Bad sellers

I offer a price. Got accepted. I didn't pay in 2 hours. The seller sold it to another person.at least ebay give you 2 or 3 days. Amazon. Etsy. Bonanza. Ecreater is better than vinted.

I sell on many sites & apps.
None have the ongoing tech issues that Vinted has.
The constant adding & subtracting of pointless,
Unwanted & redundant features may be the cause.
The glitches affect sales, when the app is running
Smoothly I have steady sales, during glitchy periods sales plummet.
This is not free to use, a 19% commission comes out of every sale,
When I Pay to use something, I expect it to work.
While the support team does have a fast response time,
I'm quite tired of being told to check MY device for the problem.
It's not me, it's them, which they would know if they read their
Own forums to see all the member complaints regarding the same issues.

Their customer service is no different from a robotic reply. I have emailed them several times about a buyer who is undoubtedly a scammer and they don't give a $#*! about the issue. They haven't replied to my last email and have done nothing to resolve the issue.

Basically I sent the package and now the buyer won't pay for it either so I've lost out on money. The worst app ever to sell on, I would rather use ebay. They just kept telling me to wait for the buyer but she hasn't responded either and is ignoring my messages. Beware of this website, it's full of bull$#*!ters and scammers!

Worst app ever

I honestly would rate this a freakin negative if I could! I've sold a few items and every time, the tracking wouldn't work and then the people never received it! So I lost out on money and nobody knows where any of my clothing pieces are. I've contacted everyone and nobody can do anything about it apparently because I didn't get insurance when I shipped my packages. I'm pissed because they were ALL name branded and purchased for very expensive and I received nothing and didn't get my packages back still to this day and it's been almost 6 months and still nothing.

I've purchased about 80 items on vinted so far. I only gave 3 negative feedbacks and every one of them is was removed. Here's what happened.

The first item was actually a child's raincoat that was deceptively advertised as an adults. The seller refused to accept a return, sent 50 (yes 50) messages to me calling me a liar (had measurement pictures as proof).

Then she ADMITTED she had sent me a child's coat on purpose because someone else had sold it to her on the same premise and that she wanted to get rid of it... wtf

I forwarded this all to vinted and got refunded.

Vinted then removed this feedback: seller deceptively sold me a child's coat. I have screencaps proving this.

The second order was from a lady that never shipped my hoodir. A week later I get auto-refunded and left negative feedback only stating she didn't ship the item.

The seller immideatedly responds saying she had a baby and tells me in all caps to take down the feedback because she is "more important than me and my item". Yes. She really said that.

I was actually about to delete my feedback out of sympathy until she messaged me saying that she didn't even have the item anymore and threw it out 2 months ago...

I add this new info into my feedback and... feedback removed

This third one is the worst. I bought a nice handmade winter coat from a user. She leads me on for 10 days about how great the coat is and how warm I'll be. She says she has already shipped the item but the shipping never updates.

I leave negative feedback simply stating that she never shipped. But then I see her on another app and that she has sold the SAME HANDMADE ITEM for the same price to another person two weeks after I had already bought it.

I edit that into the feedback and that feedback was gone in a week. This is disgusting. All three of these people are still active users too.

I purchased a purse from a member on Vinted and when it arrived it was damaged, (two small holes, a stain and scratches on the metal parts). The original advertisement stated that the purse was new and obviously the purse was not new as it would not have these imperfections. Regardless seller should have stated. Anyway thinking that Vinted has a money back guarantee if the item is damaged I write to them and send them pictures. Expecting the money back in my account that day I instead get an email saying that they can't help, all they can suggest is reselling the item on. By this point I am crazy mad and send them an email saying how am I supposed to sell a damaged purse on? No one is going to want to buy it? I get an email back saying they are sorry I am annoyed but the damage is not and I quote "substantial enough". I'm sorry but if the item is described as new surely any damage is damage and now new no matter how small? If you had purchased it from a shop you would be taking it straight back and demanding a full refund. Anyway they send me another email saying all they can recommend is reselling and then have the cheek to say I must list all the flaws if I intend on reselling?! Well according to you there are new flaws so **** you I most definitely wont be. Left £10 and very angry.

Don't sell on vinted.

I am very familiar with re-selling sites such as, Poshmark, and ebay. I also work at an establishment that re-sells items, so I know how to price items fairly for the customer and still get a decent profit for myself. I use to sell a lot of items on Vinted and then vinted changed the app settings and makes it difficult to sell items and get a decent price. I always get low-ball offers from buyers, such as, offering $10 for a barely worn, good condition leather Sperry shoes for that I was asking $30. The shipping prices are ridiculous. I wish there was one standard price for shipping and they would run promotions on shipping one in awhile. I also get a few offers on items and I accept their offer but the buyer never purchases. I wish the offer feature was more binding, such as, if you send me an offer and I accept, you're automatically charged, because I get a lot of people on Vinted that wastes my time. There also needs to be an age limited on Vinted, too many under age girls taking advantage of the app. This is not an app for serious sellers with nice items. I don't sell on Vinted anymore. Don't waste your time.

HORRIBLE

WORST WEBSITE! Do not use it you will regret it! I was using it for a few months and "tolerated" their constant complaints, but I've had enough so I sent a nasty email to them. They always deleted my items for a variety of reasons, sent me notices even though didn't do anything wrong. I got so sick of their B. S! I hope everyone stops using that website.

Vinted.com is great. I always had a passion for fashion from a little girl. I started getting rid of my old clothing on another site but I ended up paying out more than I made. Years later I have discovered Vinted.com and my love for selling clothes has been revived. I love to sell on this site and the customers are awesome!

DO NOT USE VINTED

I was banned for swapping, and told there is no way to get my account back. I have swapped in the past on vinted with no problems, but one day I log in to find I am blocked? Customer service refuses to help in any way, says I will get my money that I am owed for previous sales in 7 days, but looking at these other reviews, I doubt that will happen. Stick to selling to your local consignment shop. Vinted is a joke.

Avoid the hassle

Don't ever use vinted.com
1. Most sellers screw up the postage and you'll have to pick up at the post office to pay extra postage
2. If a seller screws up or there are any issues, no one at the site will help you except to tell you you can negotiate with the seller who swindled and ignored you
3. Half the time the seller will accept an offer or sale and then never send it anyway - you'll get your money back if they don't post a tracking number (but they can post one "to be picked up" status and then never send -> no refund), but then you've wasted your time.
There are better sites to use with better shipping options anyway

Vinted has the worst customer service. They will let you do the leg work as they sit prettily in their heavily AC'ed office. Why lift a finger when they won't be getting anything out of it. My order got lost during delivery and now I have to call USPS and do the investigation. As it would be a refund and they won't be getting anything so why bother doing the work right? And worse they don't refund the shipping so you lose money on that. This unhappy buyer is deactivating her account.

Awesome App :)

I love Vinted for more than one reason alone. The community of members is great... very supportive and from all backgrounds. Being a seller is great! I've made over $800 in only 4 1/2 months from things just sitting in my closet. I also enjoy buying things every now and again too. The app is definitely not a scam. It is still growing so realistically problems happen sometimes. This is life. The support team tries to help the best they can and resolve issues quickly if they arise. Again I love the app, money made, and items bought so far.

I loved vinted and was very successful as a seller which I guess made it a threat to other sellers. I refused to trade with a girl because I'm only selling my expensive designer items to pay off debt and you know what? She not only got me blocked, the police showed up at my door for a fraud investigation! Once I explained the situation they actual laughed and apologized... However that same girl harassed the police for 2 weeks trying to get me arrested! The detective called me several times questioning me then laughing because this girl was so crazy and obsessed. It was the weirdest thing. I'm 30 years old, never had a speeding ticket or anything.

Oh yeah, when this happend I bought $350 in clothes which never arrived and I was charged for... AND vinted kept the $200 in my account for packages received with positive reviews.

Avoid at all costs!

Not a scam!

By using vinted i've made over $10,000. I'm not sure why others claim this site is a scam. You are only blocked if you scam others, make multiple accounts or are embarrassing other users. Other than that - there is no way to get blocked from the site or no longer allowed to buy/sell.

I've had extremely good luck with vinted. The customer service is incredible and replies within 24 hours. Highly recommend this app as long as you can follow the rules.

Vinted has the worst customer service.
They took my items down claiming them as counterfeit even though they are authentic and I have the original receipt.
They kept accusing me of selling counterfeit items and even gave me absurd reasonings behind it, claiming that they are authentic experts.
They even threatened to put me in jail and fine me thousands of dollars. I dared them to because I know my items are not counterfeit.
I finally showed them my original receipt.
Instead of apologizing and admitting that Vinted lacks authenticity experts, they permanently blocked my account.
These customer service people are too arrogant and incompetent in what they do.
There are better selling apps out there. Vinted is one of the worst and is not worth the time!
