I have enjoyed using varagesale for several years even the static ads are tolerable.but the recent addition of video ads is too much!
Really very annoying.
When they appear I shut down varage and will likely spend much less time on the site.

Terrible website: Fraudulent credit card charges when you sign up. Scammers piggyback onto Varagesale when you sign up with them. I was charged $ 2.99 From CHFPFV.COM In Sylmar, Ca. USA and Also From GEHKED.COM. I also Received an Email from Varagesale Administer Dana Easton stating that I had not downloaded a profile picture which is not true. I did download a picture. It's not my responsibility that their faulty or outdateed software did not pick up/ detect or download my picture. I'm not even going to both with selling on Varagesale as I noticed many negative reviews about them from the inept administrators to low to no sales.

I have been on this app for years.I have yet to sell ANYTHING from their app.Very few offers.Some fake.Some wanting my cell number(not for legitimate purposes I'm sure).I will soon be deleting this useless app.

"You mean we didn't approve a member that didn't adhere to the agreed to requirements upon joining. Snarky responses don't help the situation" was the response I got when I tried to explain my situation. We are a company that wanted to use Varagesale, and what ended up happening was "Hi There. Unfortunately VarageSale is more for individuals and not businesses. This is a virtual garage sale platform and people will sell extra household items. People want to be interacting and doing transactions with actual people, not faceless businesses. I'm sorry."
I am very disappointing with the service and the rudeness of the so called admins, if they cannot even put their real first and last name and a real photo, how do you expect the customers to?
But the thing I'm most angry with is after I got the response saying I was "snarky" I was blocked by the admin.

Admins are not helpful… all they do is picking on people left & right & deactivate your page, & make you go through hell, back & forth messaging them…. They just don't want to be helpful, they are just so good in punishing you over stupidest issues….
I have non of the problems in other buy & sell applications….posting the same way in other pages … there is no problem…. But VarageSale has the most horrible way of managing by their means admins….
I am not at all surprised to see how many people are unhappy with VarageSale, just because of their admins behaviour.
I wish higher rank ( higher than admins) could review people's opinions about this application….& make some changes in the administration of the page.

Be careful when using the app, unsafe, constant problems, devices crash, recommend the app if you want to use it with a lot of caution.

I signup on January 24th on the site, It took them over a week to let me no that my profile was excepted, They sent me a message on Febuary 3, I been using the site since then, But what bugs me about it, Is there hasn,t been any new adds, For items for sale on there site, Also there are adds on the site, That have been on there, For over a year, The site is very disorganized, Also i dont see a option on the site, To delete items, If they have been sold. The site is a total joke, I can,t understand why any buddy would use this site, To try and sell there items.

Randoms act as site admins, and different community admins try to force you to expose your real identity (first and last name rather than a username) to sell used items to strangers. Varage app is very dangerous for women online. Countless men harass and sexually harass women on these online property sales sites. Why on earth would any woman want to identify her first and last name for these guys to stalk and harass? Varage Sale is not female friendly and is very much out of touch with reality.

Every time you post something there it a problem they cut me for no reason telling me I'm asking fake so then I show them the receipt and now I got do list everything again same thing happens just give up this useless app a lot of problems for nothing there team is super disrespectful to sellers

VarageSale Admins apparently fall into the categories of: narcissist, self-important, petty, narrow-minded, rigid, arrogant, or condescending. I live in Girard, Pa & left VarageSale after Kimberly Goodman-French, an admin who claims to attend church regularly, made it perfectly clear that VarageSale is a brown-nose popularity contest based on members' abilities to blindly follow and never stand up for themselves. Petty, drama-filled, heartless, & callous group of women!

Over a month now error message everytime i try to login. Constant popup saying to use facebook to login when my account is a cometely different email than my fb email. After 15+ emails telling them to fix this so i can log into my account ive never got 1 single reply. Dont waste your time with this app. Never sold 1 single item through this app even though i have 168 items posted.

This is just too high school drama queenish for me. Mean girls in real life.

Admin Leanne Mathews admins MANY different communities. She messaged me to remove my listings and post them all under one. When I went through the Rules and Terms of service and it was NOT listed there she removed me from ALL communities she manages. Then I joined the community to where I am moving and she demanded to know when I was moving, When I told her that was private information she did not need she denied me from that community as well. I emailed VarageSale to let them know about her behavior and I am clearly not the only one. She has bad reviews on her page and the app store as well as here. It is time to remove this power-hungry admin. She bullies people into giving her unnecessary information or it's her way or the highway.

She does things without warning. And likely with emotional reasons. With power comes responsibility.

Items are mostly like really new stuff. Frendly, really cool people.
Always keep a few coins or fvers on you in case you spot something else you want. Nice mods are quick to answer questions and help.

There is a particular admin that seems to have a great dislike for me. She finds an issue with everything that I post. She constantly tells me to change categories or she will remove my post. She gets very rude. I have spoken to quite a few of the buyers and sellers and they say she does the same to them! We feel she targets certain people and when questioned, threatens to remove you. Well, she did remove me. It's ridiculous. The only people to complain to are her friends, the other admins for VS. I just spoke with someone else being treated unfairly and when she complained about this specific admon, the other one got rude with her. They always say that they do this for US, and for free. They signed up for it!

We live in Regina, Saskatchewan, CANADA, supposedly a nation of democracy and freedoms. One of us had written a small book with pet stories. The other was a retired gardener who used his grandparent's scythe to cut hay on their farm AND, therefore, bought a new one in 2012 to keep weeds down on a small property. VarageSale, Regina, was used in September to post an ad to sell the book and scythe and other items. Some sold and some did not. VarageSale irritated us with their insistence that we remove a notation that we would deliver items locally. We were also astounded that the 'administrator', a 'Lynn Hall', wanted us to remove a cell phone contact number, which we provided for text communications. We dealt with the latter but were never asked to remove our comments about our delivery option (for an additional cost that was made clear in the ads). We sold perhaps five items via this site and Kijiji. We pulled the ads for about 10 days and returned to post them at both VarageSale and Kijiji... We were just starting to get responses from our VarageSale postings when Ms. Hall appeared to tell us that she had 'removed' the 'scythe ad' as 'inappropriate', not allowed by Varage 'rules'. Moments later, she reappeared telling Flo that her book ad was being pulled 'because she was an author' and, under VarageSale's 'rules', authors are 'small business'. Flo would not be allowed to post her book where she felt appropriate. Instead, Ms. Hall would tell us where a 'book ad' would need to go. AND, while Kijiji had no such rules, we were NOT to post our cell phone number (removing the Varage 'middle man', seemingly) OR to offer delivery for an additional cost. Don then challenged Ms. Hall on her knowledge of what a scythe is and why a gardening tool CANNOT be sold at this site... seems like Ms. Hall equates the scythe to a symbol of communism or... possible beheadings? Sheesh, we would be more worried about getting ran down by a power mower going full bore. Ms. Hall's response was rapid and as stupid... we did not want to abide by their rules so she was 'terminating the account'. Furthermore, she snarled, VarageSale would 'not tolerate threats or inappropriate language'! Which means what? That criticism of stupid behaviour is NOT allowed on this planet anymore? An administrator in the Fort Wayne buy and sell group on Varagesale I need to have a picture up before I can get accepted into the group. And before I even read her message to me I had put a picture up. Ironically. But I had not at first because I didn't know if it was worth it and I had better things to do.

YET THE ADMINISTRATOR AND I FORGET THE C***'S NAME, HAVE HER OWN PICTURE UP. SHE HAD SOME PICTURE OF SOMEONE WALKING FAR IN THE DISTANCE.

AND WHEN I EMAIL THE COMPANY TO TELL THEM ABOUT THE HYPOCRISY THEY MADE NO DAMN SENSE AND SAID IT WAS OKAY FOR THEIR ADMINISTRATORS THAT HAVE DOUBLE STANDARDS.

I RECOMMEND TO ANYONE HERE WHO IS MAKING ANY KIND OF COMPLAINT TO KEEP YOU A S*** LIST OF THE COMPANIES WHO S*** ON YOU AND EVERY CHANCE YOU GET TELL BAD STORIES ABOUT THEM AND FORUMS WHERE THERE ARE MANY MANY PEOPLE WHO WILL READ IT.

BE A WALKING NEGATIVE ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE REST YOUR LIFE FOR THESE S***** COMPANIES.
